It's located in a secluded area, with no convenience stores or restaurants, yet exudes a sense of seclusion. It's perfect for self-drives and for Type I types—those who enjoy quiet and the freedom to be alone. It was almost 4 p.m. when we arrived. There was only one young receptionist at the counter. She spoke fluent English, wore a neat uniform, and had a gentle, yet measured smile. After completing the check-in procedures, she personally led us to the elevator and bowed gently in thanks. That subtle gesture softened the entire atmosphere of hospitality. The feeling of being respected and cared for is unforgettable. I was afraid my husband would get too excited, so I warned him: "Online reviews say the breakfast here is average, so don't get too excited." 🌊 The view is right from the moment you open the door We took the elevator to our room for the night. As soon as the door opened, a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows and the boundless blue ocean greeted us. At that moment, the air felt transparent. This hotel must be newly built. It was a weekday, Tuesday, and there were so many people. Then we went to Kouri Island. My husband had a blast in the water, while I took photos on the shore, enjoying the breeze. Before leaving, we had planned to dine at "Fixed Fishery One Shrimp Three Dishes," but the crowds at the entrance stretched all the way out to the parking lot, so we had to give up again. Back at ASBO in the evening, we had planned to go get some sushi nearby. Google clearly indicated it was open, and it was only a three-minute drive away. But we saw the sign on the site saying "Closed Today." After three consecutive losses all day, we smiled bitterly. Our food luck was bad today. There was only one yakitori restaurant nearby, but there was no parking. A line of cars lined the roadside, parked along the white line. After much hesitation, we finally gave up the chance. We ended up going to FamilyMart instead, buying instant noodles, a bento, and drinks to take back to our room. I asked the counter for hot water and made a bowl of Ichiran Ramen. We sat side by side by the window, looking at the sea while enjoying our convenience store dinner. Although simple, it was surprisingly satisfying. The sea breeze outside the window gently tapped the glass, accompanied by the chirping of insects and birds, it felt like spending the night in the forest. Perhaps this is the charm of ASBO— it allows one to experience the tranquility of life without the need for elaborate arrangements, through pure tranquility. ☕ Breakfast and Farewell The only slight regret was having to check out at 10:00 AM. At 7:00 AM, we went downstairs for breakfast. Perhaps because there weren't many people staying, the meals weren't served buffet style, but rather in lunch boxes. I chose mashed potato bread, and my husband chose a croissant. The table was set with four drinks and a bowl of hot soup. Also, a delicate paper box contained six snacks—presumably fillings to go with the bread. Perhaps because I wasn't expecting it, I was surprised by how good it was. I recalled staying at the Nago West Ocean View Hotel in June of this year. The room rate was similar, around 2,700 yuan, but the breakfast was generous, with agu pork and salmon, which impressed my husband. Although the ASBO breakfast wasn't fancy, it was simple and sincere. The average room rate at the Nago West Hotel is now between 3,500 and 4,500 yuan. If you want to save money, you really have to choose the right time. After breakfast, we reluctantly packed our bags. Looking back at that expanse of blue, I had only one thought in my mind: If I have the chance, I want to come again. Our next stop was my favorite Fukugi Forest Road. Drive to Chatan and enjoy ice cream and coffee at American Village before heading to the hotel. For dinner, take out King Tacos and enjoy taco rice and beer in the room. Cheers to a great start! Day 2: Start the day with a buffet breakfast at 6:50 AM, featuring a variety of dishes including the classic French toast! After relaxing in the room, head north to Yambaru Soba for more Okinawa soba. Then, enjoy Okinawa zenzai nearby and pick up some craft beer before returning to the hotel. Relax by the pool with a beer, and at 7 PM, head to the izakaya "Kafu" for a feast of Okinawan cuisine. Amazing! Day 3: Enjoy another hearty buffet breakfast at 6:50 AM, then relax by the pool until the last minute before checking out at 9:00 AM. After checking out, visit Nakamura Soba for some sea lettuce soba. It was crowded but only a 15-minute wait! After filling up, head towards Naha. Check into the Orion Hotel in Naha, where you get a complimentary Orion Draft beer and one bottle each of Orion beer and shikuwasa sour per person in the room! After enjoying the draft beer, head to Shabu-shabu Matsumoto for a hearty shabu-shabu dinner. ASBO is definitely a good hotel that friends who like to soak in hot springs should not miss. The hot spring area is spacious and bright with a large space (the spring water is excavated from 1,500 feet deep in the sea). There are indoor pools (large floor-to-ceiling windows can be opened, so it won't be stuffy at all) and semi-open outdoor pools. Cold water pool, hot water pool, SPA oven. Soaking for a whole day is not boring. The room is spacious and the sea view is unbeatable. The bidet will spoil you and the bathtub is divided into two rooms. There is a capsule coffee machine in the room, and delicious coffee is available every day. Every service staff is kind, polite, warm and considerate. Free bicycles are available. Kin Town, the northernmost of the Ryukyu Hachisha Shrines [Kingu Shrine (Kannonji Temple)] Kingu Shrine, unlike the other Ryukyu Hachisha Shrines, does not have a shrine building, but is enshrined as Kin Gongen in a limestone cave within the grounds of Kin Kannonji Temple. There are no lights inside the limestone cave, so it is dim even during the day and you need to be careful where you step. I hesitated at first, but I used the light from my smartphone to descend the steep stairs. When you enter the limestone cave, you can be sensitive to the sounds, smells, and air flow inside the cave in the silence. There is no goshuin stamp for Kingu Shrine, but you can get one at Kannonji Temple. It is not well known, but it is a spot where you can experience the limestone cave in its natural state.
