🇪🇸 🌋 Lanzarote: Spain's Most Otherworldly Destination💓
Lanzarote, located in the northern part of Spain's Canary Islands, boasts a surreal landscape of stark volcanic rock formations and captivating deep blue coastlines. Visiting this island feels like stepping onto Mars 🪐.
🦅 Timanfaya National Park
This park encapsulates the island's unique beauty. Formed by over 100 volcanoes erupting continuously for six years, the landscape is a testament to nature's raw power. The black basaltic lava fields, dotted with ring-shaped craters and vast reddish-brown deserts, are awe-inspiring 🌍. You can explore this volcanic heartland by tour bus or opt for a more unique experience—riding a single-humped camel 🐫.
🍷 The Geria Vineyards
The volcanic eruptions covered the land with rock fragments, which the island's farmers ingeniously use to grow grapes 🍇. Each grapevine is protected in a circular stone pit, creating a unique landscape found nowhere else in the world. The volcanic soil imparts a distinctive flavor to the wine produced here, which you can sample at various wineries 🥂.
🌴 Papagayo Beach
Beyond the volcanic landscapes, you can unwind on the island's most famous beach, known for its platinum-colored sands 🏖️ and crystal-clear turquoise waters.
Lanzarote is also the birthplace of artist César Manrique 👨🏻🎨, a staunch advocate for the integration of natural landscapes with art. His rugged yet exquisite artistic legacies are scattered across the island ✨.
🔹 Jameos of the Water (Jameos del Agua)
This architectural marvel is set within a natural cave. As lava flowed, seawater seeped in, creating a clear, shimmering blue lake that mirrors the cave's ceiling 💠. The natural auditorium formed by the lava is both sacred and stunning.
🔸 River Viewpoint
A spectacular lookout point converted from an old battery, it seamlessly blends into the surrounding environment, making you feel like part of the volcanic landscape 🏜️. From this vantage point on the Famara cliffs, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the meeting point between lava flows and the ocean 🌊. In the distance, the island of La Graciosa glistens on the water's surface ⛰️, as if frozen in time.
🔹 Cactus Garden
On beautiful terraced slopes, nearly 1,500 different species of cacti from around the world, from Mexico to Madagascar, thrive 🌵. The garden feels more like a massive piece of art 🎨.

César Manrique Foundation 🇮🇨
The César Manrique Foundation is situated in Lanzarote, Canary Island.
César Manrique was a multi-talented artist, architect, and environmentalist whose impact on Lanzarote is immeasurable. He was born on the island in 1919 and returned to Lanzarote after studying art and architecture in New York. Manrique's vision was to blend the natural beauty of Lanzarote with art and architecture, preserving the island's unique character while creating harmonious living spaces.
The César Manrique Foundation is located in the artist's former residence and studio, making it a place of great historical and cultural significance. The building itself is a work of art, with white walls, large windows, and open spaces, all seamlessly integrated into the volcanic terrain.

Lanzarote has some spectacular volcanic landscapes, such as the Timanfaya National Park, a must!
This island is also famous for its subtropical temperatures and stunning beaches. We recommend you the beach of Yaiza, very beautiful and relaxing.
If you want to do more tourism, you can buy a 2 activities ticket that allows you to visit Los Jameos del Agua (unique volcanic tunnel) and the Cueva de los Verdes.

Here you c
Here you can see how strange and how beautiful is the island of Lanzarote. This is the place where all the views are like from Mars and not from the Earth. The Timnfaya park is the place where you can see all these volcanos. Also there are many small lakes around.

#arrecife is the main town of the fabulous island of #lanzarote part of the Canary Islands, Spain. The town itself is like administrative center and not very touristy but it still worth a visit. There is a fortress near the beach which is very nice.

Lanzarote's volcanic wonders feel like an otherworldly adventure
Lanzarote, the Spanish fiery island facing Africa across the sea, boasts magical volcanic landscapes that seem like cosmic fragments lost in the Atlantic. Stepping in feels like landing on an alien planet, offering a bizarre and beyond-imagination travel experience. Here you’ll find the emerald-like Mirador El Golfo green lake, separated from the sea by a black sand beach, where green and blue intertwine in a magical way; the unique El Grifo winery, where grapevines grow in volcanic ash soil protected by stone walls, with volcanic soil enriching the grapes with minerals, producing stunning wines in the arid environment; Jardín de Cactus, full of various cacti, is a perfect spot for photos, where every shot looks like a masterpiece; Timanfaya National Park, the soul of Lanzarote and a filming location for Star Wars, features black lava and desertified landscapes formed by 18th-century volcanic eruptions. Take a sightseeing bus tour, with the best views on the right side. However, the island is mostly populated by Europeans and Americans, with few Asian faces, and public transportation is inconvenient. If you can drive, be sure to rent a car in advance and plan well. Come to Lanzarote and start this unique otherworldly journey!

PLAYA BLANCA, LANZAROTE. Spain
Visiting La Geria, the Green Lagoon, and Timanfaya National Park in Lanzarote felt unreal. The volcanic vineyards of La Geria were calm and striking, with green vines breaking through black lava soil. The Green Lagoon at El Golfo stood out with its bright emerald water against dark sand and cliffs. Timanfaya was the most powerful vast lava fields, intense heat from the ground, and landscapes that felt almost like another planet. It was a day that showed the raw beauty and strength of nature.

🌋 How Lanzarote Speaks Summer to Me: Fire, Ocean & Calm Energy 🇪🇸✨
Lanzarote doesn’t speak summer in clichés — it glows it.
Perched in the Canary Islands, just off the coast of Morocco, Lanzarote feels like another planet — black volcanic landscapes blending with whitewashed villages, turquoise waves, and endless sunshine.
Mornings start with coffee overlooking the Atlantic, the air crisp and clean. By midday, you’re wandering through Timanfaya National Park, where fiery earth and lava fields stretch for miles. And as the sun dips, the sky burns gold over Playa de Papagayo, calm waves kissing pale sand.
There’s a wild beauty here — raw, quiet, and humbling. It’s the kind of place that strips away the noise of life and replaces it with sea wind, salt, and peace.
That’s how Lanzarote speaks summer to me — in fire and stillness, in sunlight and soul. 🌞🌊✨

Solo on a Volcanic Island: The Surreal Beauty of Lanzarote
#hellohalloween
Forget green landscapes; prepare for a journey to a land of black earth, white villages, and turquoise sea. My solo trip to Lanzarote was an adventure on another planet, a place where art and nature have forged a unique, dramatic partnership. It’s the perfect destination for an independent traveler seeking stark beauty, outdoor adventure, and a deeply creative spirit.
My Perfect Solo Itinerary: A Tapestry of Fire and Water
Day 1: The Heart of the Volcano
I dedicated my first day to the Timanfaya National Park. I joined a coach tour that winds through the breathtaking "Montañas del Fuego" (Fire Mountains). The volcanic landscapes are raw and powerful—a vast sea of solidified lava under a brilliant blue sky. The geothermal demonstrations, where heat from just below the surface scorches dry brush or erupts into a geyser of steam, are a mesmerizing spectacle. As a solo traveler, I could absorb the sheer scale and silence of this Martian landscape at my own pace.
Day 2: The Art of César Manrique
Lanzarote’s soul is intertwined with the vision of artist and architect César Manrique. I embarked on a solo pilgrimage to his creations:
· Jameos del Agua: A volcanic tunnel transformed into a stunning concert hall and pool, home to unique blind albino crabs. It’s a place of surreal, elegant beauty.
· Mirador del Río: A viewpoint carved into a cliff, offering a staggering panoramic view of the neighboring island of La Graciosa.
· César Manrique Foundation: His former home, built inside volcanic bubbles. It’s a joyful, inspiring space that perfectly blends art with nature.
Exploring these sites alone allowed me to fully appreciate Manrique’s genius for harmonizing human creation with the island's raw geology.
Day 3: Beaches and Villages
I rented a car for the ultimate freedom and explored the diverse coast. I visited:
· The golden sands of Playa de Papagayo for a secluded swim.
· The charming white-washed village of Yaiza, perfectly set against the black volcanic fields.
· The cliff-top town of Famara, a windswept paradise for surfers and solitude-seekers.
Solo Traveler Tips I Discovered:
· Rent a Car: This is non-negotiable for a solo traveler who wants true freedom. The island is easy to navigate and a car lets you chase sunsets and discover hidden coves on your own schedule.
· Embrace the Slow Pace: Lanzarote isn't about a hectic itinerary. It's about the quality of light at dusk, the taste of local Malvasia wine, and the feel of volcanic rock under your feet.
· Stay in Different Zones: Consider splitting your stay between the busier south (for beaches) and the quieter, more artistic north.
· Talk to Locals: Lanzarote’s people are proud of their unique island. A friendly question in a tapas bar can lead to wonderful recommendations.

A day in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote
🌴 Welcome to Playa Blanca, the sunny south of Lanzarote!
☀️ Stroll along the seaside promenade lined with cozy cafés, boutique shops, and local restaurants serving fresh seafood and tapas.
🍽️ From ocean-view dining spots at Marina Rubicón to beach bars by the shore, there’s something for every taste.
🛍️ Don’t miss the Saturday market for local crafts, jewelry, and island souvenirs.
🌅 As the sun sets, grab a cocktail and watch the golden light over the Atlantic — pure Lanzarote magic.

Lanzarote
The mysterious volcanic island of the Canary Islands 🌋, where the raw beauty of nature meets Mediterranean charm perfectly 😍. From the moment your plane touches down, you'll feel the unique atmosphere — black deserts contrasting with crystal-clear blue waters 🌊, as if you've landed on another planet! 🌠
Don't miss Timanfaya National Park 🌋, filled with dormant volcanoes and warm grounds 🔥, or visit Jameos del Agua, a cave transformed into an artistic masterpiece by César Manrique 🎨 — stunning and extraordinary! For relaxation, beaches like Playa Blanca 🏖️ and Papagayo 🐚 are a paradise for sea lovers.
The food here is equally impressive 🍤, especially the salt-baked fish and local wines 🍷, which carry the unique essence of volcanic soil. And as the sun sets 🌅, the sky shifts from gold to pink, creating an indescribably romantic scene 💕.
Lanzarote is an island that is tranquil, exotic, and utterly captivating — perfect for those looking to escape the chaos 🌴✨.

A Dream Weekend in Lanzarote: Renting the Island’s Prettiest House and Smart Travel Hacks
#canaryislands If you’re planning a short getaway to #Lanzarote and want to experience both beauty and savings, here’s exactly how I did it — and how you can too. ✨
I found what might be the most beautiful house on the island through Trip.com, and it was an absolute gem. Set near the volcanic hills, this modern yet rustic home had panoramic views, a private terrace, whitewashed walls and cactus gardens that felt straight out of a magazine. The booking process through Trip.com was fast, reliable, and — best of all — included a great discount that made the price hard to believe. 💸💯
To move around the island, I also rented a car directly on Trip.com through Avis. Booking in advance online gave me access to a better rate, and I avoided all the airport counter hassle. For just around 25 to 30 euros per day, I had the freedom to drive wherever I wanted, whenever I wanted — which is crucial in Lanzarote since many of its treasures are hidden off the main roads.
One of the highlights of the trip was visiting the legendary Casa-Museo de César Manrique, the former home of Lanzarote’s most iconic artist. Located in Tahíche, it blends volcanic rock with futuristic architecture and art. It’s an inspiring stop that gives you deep insight into the soul of the island. Entry costs just 10 euros, and it’s worth every cent. 🎨🏠
I built my weekend itinerary around this. On Saturday, I explored the Timanfaya National Park and Caldera Blanca, and on Sunday, I toured Manrique’s house, took a swim in Playa Blanca, and ended the day with a seafood dinner near El Golfo.
What made the trip extra special was that I felt like I had unlocked a luxury weekend on a budget. Between the discounted accommodation, the car rental deal, and affordable activities, I managed to spend less than I normally would for a basic city break.
So if you’re heading to the Canary Islands, I 100% recommend checking Trip.com for rentals, both for the house and the car. It made the whole weekend smoother and more affordable — and left me with memories I’ll never forget.
Would you try a weekend like this? Drop me a comment if you’d love to discover Lanzarote the same way! 🏖️🚗

From the moment I stepped into the grand lobby, with its elegant design and sophisticated ambiance, I knew this was the perfect spot for couples seeking a romantic and unforgettable escape. #H10Rubicón #CanaryIslands
🍸 Cocktails & live piano music
Afternoons began with perfectly crafted cocktails, enjoyed as a pianist filled the lobby with soft, enchanting melodies. The atmosphere felt magical: warm lighting, refined details, and the sound of the piano creating the ideal setting to unwind with someone special.
🎤 Nightly events
Every evening, the hotel’s event hall came alive with a variety of shows—live music, themed performances, and entertainment that made each night feel unique and exciting. It added a touch of vibrancy to our elegant nights.
🌅 The terrace & breathtaking views
But what truly took my breath away was the terrace. Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and Lanzarote’s dramatic volcanic landscapes, sunsets here were among the most beautiful I’ve ever witnessed. It’s the perfect spot for a quiet drink or a romantic dinner while watching the sky transform into shades of orange and pink.
