Deloraine Architectural Glimpses
⛰️ A small inland town in Tasmania with few people. In 1950, a group of World War II veterans were settled here, and there is still a veterans' club in the town.
🏠 The town is mainly red in color, and the buildings on the streets have a vintage feel. It is very suitable for those who enjoy quietness.
🚥 Deloraine is located in the inland region of Tasmania, Australia, about a 3-hour drive from Hobart, the capital of Tasmania.
🏘️ The town was founded in 1824 and was once an important mining center in Tasmania. However, with the decline of the mining industry, Deloraine gradually lost its former prosperity.
Today, Deloraine is a sparsely populated town, but it still retains many historical sites and buildings.
🏛️1. The Returned Serviceman's League: Located in the town center, it was established during World War II to accommodate veterans. The club has now become the community center, frequently hosting various events and gatherings.
🏡2. Red Roof Cottage: A landmark building in the town, built in the 1880s, it was the home of a wealthy miner at the time. It has now become a café and small shop.
🚉3. Deloraine Railway Station: Built in 1907, it is one of the oldest surviving railway stations in inland Tasmania. Opposite the station is a gift shop and café called "The Emporium."

Walls of Jerusalem National Park
#australiatrip
Walls of Jerusalem National Park, tucked away in Tasmania's Central Plateau, is a hiker's paradise where ancient pencil pines stand sentinel over a landscape of jagged peaks and glacial lakes. Accessible only by foot, the journey into this World Heritage-listed area begins with a challenging ascent, leading into a realm that feels untouched by time, where the natural beauty is matched only by the solitude.
The park's trails, like the Central Walls Circuit, weave through an alpine wonderland where names like Solomon's Throne and the Pool of Siloam evoke a sense of biblical pilgrimage. Weather here can turn on a dime, so preparation is key; expect to be enveloped by the silence of nature, punctuated only by the wind or the distant cry of a wedge-tailed eagle as you explore this secluded slice of Tasmania's wilderness.
