2026 Lierna Travel Guide: must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transport & travel experiences (updated in August)

Over the course of 4 days, we spent our time driving along Lake Como, surrounded by the stunning views of the Alps the entire way. The scenery was especially beautiful and charming during the morning and evening when the sunlight reflected off the water. Along the way, we drove through numerous small villages, stopping at various viewpoints to take in the scenery, stroll by the lake, and experience the simple local lifestyle in each town. The pastel houses lined up along the waterfront add so much charm to the lake. Each town has its own unique vibe and identity, keeping the journey interesting from start to finish. For us, Lake Como is a route that offers non-stop fun and excitement. Every curve and every village we passed revealed a completely different landscape, making the scenic drive around the lake anything but boring. Caution: The roads around the lake are quite narrow, and in some sections, extremely narrow. There are countless continuous curves, as well as steep inclines and sharp hairpin turns. Drivers should be extra careful, especially during holidays or peak tourist seasons when traffic can be heavy. Additionally, parking in each town is limited and mostly paid.
