The village of Popeye's located on the main island of #malta is one of the kind tourist attraction. It offers relatively small beach even without sand but the thematic buildings are so amazing. You can find everything from the animation here. Even newly-made it looks so authentic and definitely worth a visit. There is also a public bus that runs nearby.

The Blue Lagoon is located on the West coast of Comino island, the smallest of the islands of Malta. It's located between main island Malta and Gozo and is easy to reach by boat from various locations.
The island has only a few inhabitants and zero cars or tarmac roads. It is 3.5 square km and sits north of the main island, between Malta and Gozo. While small and often quite crowded, if you have more than 3 days in Malta, the Comino Blue Lagoon is absolutely worth a visit for the day.
It so amazing how the color of the water changes from light green, to blue and some fishes are also very visible because of the clean water.
Malta comino island blue lagoon blue reef blue lake
blue lagoon is my favorite place in Malta, I love the blue, mint blue, I want to call her Malta blue.
Malta has three blues and is also a must-have place. Blue window, blue hole, blue lake. This is the Blue Lake. The blue window was collapsed by the waves in 2017, so cherish the blue lake.
Its like a palette that God overturned, and the beauty is suffocating. The whole seaside is a beautiful Miss Europe and the United States, everyone wearing a bikini, basking in the sun here, blowing the sea breeze. I can't hold the feast of the human body.
Tour: By car to the pier to buy tickets, there are two kinds of tickets to buy.
1. Buy a yacht ticket for combo gozo, first go to comino, then take a photo here at blue lagoon. After playing, take a yacht to gozo, another island sightseeing. After sightseeing, come back by cruise.
route and fare: malta-comino-gozo 14 ohms
gozo-malta 4 ohms
2. Buying a round-trip ticket for comino and malta, just go straight to the blue lagoon and play after playing. Return directly to malta.
route and fare: malta-comino-malta 14 ohms
!! I personally recommend taking the first route, because both places are going by boat at the pier of Malta, and this place is too far from the city center, so it is best to visit the day. You don't have to come back later, arrange other places to play. So get up early, comino island is still worth spending some time to explore, the more you go inside, the better. Super suitable for making big movies.
BLUE LAGOON!!
malta is so beautiful. we took a speed boat to blue lagoon, admittedly there were a lot of tourists and it smelt a little bit like feet and rotten fruit, but excluding the smell and influx of people the water was really blue and so beautiful. malta will advise you to take a ferri but you don’t get the same experience in a speedboat, with all the views and caves. definitely a must see in your lifetime!!

Blue Grotto Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Blue Grotto from the sea
On holiday in Malta? Don't forget to visit the south of the island. Iconic places like Blue Grotto and Marsaxlokk cannot be ignored. Take a taxi, rental car or bus and preferably travel to these attractions on Sundays.
Attractions in Marsaxlokk include Parish Church and St. Lucian Tower. Just outside the village you can visit St. Peter's Pool. Ideal for diving and snorkelling, but we opt for Blue Grotto in Wied iz-Zurrieq. Also a nice place for diving and snorkelling, but above all to take boat trips and enjoy the breathtaking nature.
Because of the rough sea, seven caves were formed in the rocks. This is how Blue Grotto was born. The sunlight makes for a real spectacle, especially on nice days, but you only get a good picture of the entire cave system during a boat trip. Blue Grotto Boat Service will take you for a short 20 minute trip along the South Maltese coastline. Recommended!

Malta - the blue legend of the Knights
the world is amazing, cactus and coconut trees coexist, when the Gobi encounters the ocean, the volcano encounters the glacier, as if everything impossible has become possible. Perhaps life is the same, who will meet at the next intersection, who will meet under the streetlights of the rainy night, or who will fall in love at sunset? Everything that seems impossible is actually possible in one day~
Malta is an island country in the Mediterranean. It is not only beautiful but also rich in cultural heritage. It used to be a British colony, so it is retained. A lot of British trails. Among them, the most typical is the British red telephone booth and postbox. It is very close to Italy and has a Greek-style Mediterranean style, so blue has become synonymous here. The blue of the Mediterranean, the yellow of the old city brick, the green of the cactus and the red of the sea at sunset make up the unique colors here. Europeans like to come to this holiday, just simply sunbathe, swim, find a hotel for a few days, so good.

about traffic
Malta: Many people will choose Malta as a destination for European countries. Ryanair has direct flights from London to Rome. Flights, booking tickets in advance is a very convenient and cost-effective way to get to Valletta. This is a direct flight from London to Valletta, the ticket is only more than 400 RMB one way. In addition, if the last stop on your itinerary is Sicily, it is also very convenient to fly from Catania in Sicily, less than an hour's flight.
Malta: By car rental, you can book your car in advance from the domestic website, remember to be insured! ! !
Due to insurance, the banks companions incurred huge fines. Because there are too many birds on Gozo Island, we were fined a car wash fee of 150 Euros when we returned the car. The car dealer called it special cleaning; because the doors on both sides were scratched, it was necessary to bear the repair cost, and then involved The lost time and tax of the car; because the car did not have time to fill up the fuel, the car dealers let us buy at the so-called market price, in fact, the price of one-third of the box of oil is more than a thousand rmb. Calling the domestic customer service to reflect the situation, but know that we only buy the basic insurance, beyond the amount of claims can be compensated, meaning that these fines of 2000 euros is no way to cover. The painful lesson tells everyone that you must buy all risks! ! !
Fig. 9 The end of the sky is the sea, and the end of the sea is the mountain~ This photo was taken with a mobile phone when it was approaching Valletta. The scene at that time was very shocking. The first time I saw the sunset was in the shape of a strip, the layers were paved there, the blue-violet sky was red and the orange and the afterglow, the beauty of nature was always shocking. .
Before the takeoff, sprained his hand. The British aunt next door saw me apply medicine on my hand and asked me, "Are you okay, is it nervous? First time on the plane? Let's go~ "I feel that I have received unprecedented care. Then the aunt took a drink and drank high." This is the crazy British, drinking and drinking from time to time. Before landing, I saw the coolest sunset I have ever seen, and I was so excited that I cried at the sunset. I shot people who were chatting with each other and said, "Look at the sunset, don't talk!" Scared the people next door. After that, these two uncles and aunts began to abuse the dog. After "remember this moment", they started a crazy kiss on the plane. And I silently photographed the mobile phone slag pixel can not produce the effect, and sure enough, the human eye is the most tolerant of the beauty.

Relax at Malta Int. Airport This Fall
While flying budget airlines, sometimes you have to get to the airport at wee hour. However, thanks to airport lounges, now I can always have a good rest and enjoy my hearty breakfast while waiting for the next flight.
My Ryanair flight from Malta to Marseille would depart at 6.50 a.m. and after witnessing the summer travel chaos at several European airports, I would prefer to be at the airport at least 3 hours before the departing time.
La Vallete Club is the airport lounge at Malta International Airport and it is open 24 hours (believe it or not, but not every airport lounge is open 24 hours). There are plenty of seats and they are comfortable too! There are also many services available such as meet and greet, special occasion package, chauffeur service, etc. and you can book them in advance.

Small convenient efficient airport of Malta
Malta's only airport is located in a central location and connected with public transport (bus). There is a shop and vending machine to buy your bus passes at the arrivals hall. For departure, there are a couple of drinking water outlets after security, so bring your empty bottles. If you have spare time, check out the observation terrace on the top floor which also has a fun display showing the history of this airport.

Upper Barrakka Gardens: A famous landmark in Valletta, overlooking the grand harbor and the 'Three Sisters City'
I am a sea-viewing and wave-listening tour + global traveler, please follow me!
(Published the 1634th travel shot in 56 countries/regions in 5 continents and 1004 cities)
Malta is a true island, and you can see the sea in the center of the island.
There are many extraordinary landscapes here, but the best one is probably the Barrakka Gardens, located in the center of the capital Valletta, divided into Upper Barrakka Gardens and Lower Barrakka Gardens.
The Lower Barrakka Gardens mainly consist of Roman-style marble temples. The famous Upper Barrakka Gardens are located above the grand harbor, with a free elevator connecting the two places. The Upper Barrakka Gardens are an excellent place to view the grand harbor and the opposite 'Three Sisters Castle'.
On the fortress area below the Upper Barrakka Gardens, there is a row of 11 ancient cannons. Today, there is still a performance of firing ancient cannons at exactly 12 noon every day, which is worth seeing.
Best Viewpoint in Malta - Upper Barrakka Gardens
Located at the southeast corner of the main island of Malta, the Upper Barrakka Gardens, also known as the Italian Lookout, is the best viewpoint in Valletta, the capital of Malta, and a must-visit place for every tourist visiting Malta.
❤️Recommended reasons
🔶The Barrakka Gardens are divided into upper and lower parts. If time is limited, you can only come to the upper garden, where the excellent location and breathtaking views will definitely not disappoint you. Especially the tall arches and huge arched windows in the garden, full of momentum, make people can't stop the camera shutter.
🔶This place was originally the private garden of the Italian knights and was also part of the Valletta defense fortifications. The garden is filled with marble slabs recording the history of Malta, as well as statues and sculptures commemorating some great people, such as Einstein and Churchill. The Lower Barrakka Garden is mainly a Roman-style marble temple.
🔶In the Upper Barrakka Garden, you can have a panoramic view of the Three Sisters City across the harbor: Vittoriosa, Cospicua, and Senglea. You can also overlook the long coastline and historical buildings along the southeast coast of Valletta, as well as the entire Malta port. The azure Mediterranean Sea makes this beautiful scenery look like a painting.
After enjoying the scenery, you can spend one euro to take the elevator directly to the coast at the foot of the mountain and take a boat directly to the Three Sisters City on the opposite side.
📸Shooting Tips
1️⃣There are always many tourists here, if you want to shoot the garden and arches with fewer people, try to get up early or before sunset.
2️⃣This is a great place to shoot the sunset.
3️⃣Telephoto and wide-angle lenses are useful here. The telephoto lens can pull to the Three Sisters City on the opposite side, and the wide-angle lens can shoot arches, etc.
4️⃣It is recommended to wear brightly colored clothes, which can contrast sharply with the yellow buildings and the color of the sea.
🎫Tickets: Free
🚗Transportation:
- Valletta is mostly uphill and downhill. It is recommended to directly locate the Upper Barrakka Gardens and take a taxi.
- If you drive by yourself, there is a parking lot next to the garden, and the parking space is tight during the peak season.
- It takes about ten minutes to walk from the main gate of Valletta.
