Mandvi travel guide and discussion

Exploring Mandvi just got a royal upgrade! 👑🌿 The highlight of my trip? Soaking up the grandeur of Vijay Vilas Palace, where every corner looks straight out of a vintage postcard. Must-See Spot: Vijay Vilas Palace · Address: Vijay Vilas Palace Rd, Mandvi Rural, Gujarat 370465, India · Hours: Open all year, 8:00–18:00 Nestled among lush gardens, this palace stuns with its gorgeous Rajput architecture and Indo-European touches. The pavilion on the upper floors is a must-climb—sunset views here are fire (and super Insta-worthy, especially on clear evenings). The intricate stonework and stained glass windows are perfect for architecture buffs or anyone craving old-school elegance. Personal Tip: Swing by close to dusk! The palace glows in that golden light, and the crowds get thinner. You’ll have more peaceful moments on the terraces and winding paths. 🌅 Getting Around: Mandvi is best explored by auto-rickshaw or taxi. Consider arranging your ride in advance, since public transport options are limited here. Food: After wandering the palace, grab a thali or some freshly made pakoras from nearby street stalls. Local dhabas (roadside eateries) around Mandvi beach serve up budget-friendly and tasty Gujarati eats. Quick Destination Tips: · Entry fees are cash only—carry small bills! · Wear comfy shoes, there’s a bit of stair climbing involved. · Sun hats or scarves come in handy; shade is limited in palace lawns. #MandviRoyals #VijayVilasPalace #GujaratGetaway

#hellohalloween #travel #familytravel Lovely place to relax, however it's not a heritage palace stay for sure! lush green surroundings, good food quality and private beach makes it a place worth visiting. Hot water was an issue when we stayed as they have only instant geyser in bathroom. Will suggest if one needs to have some different experience than a normal hotel/resort feel. Palace is worth visiting. A wonderful palace to explore. Big property area. Entry point to the parking zone beautiful trees and plants are roped. And from the parking zone to the palace route a wonderful green tree walkway is there. The palace structure is beautiful and very well maintained. There are wonderful long fountains with green grass. We hire a guide to understand each aspect and history of the palace. With a very nominal amount we know the past history of the palace. The top of the palace is very nice. We have seen a very nice view from the top. The palace is surrounded by green trees and gardens. A must go place for people of all ages. Like the photos, if you like them!
