Relaxing Stay with Great Value and Friendly Atmosphere
We stayed at the Son Baulo under a half-board TUI package, and the experience was fantastic. We've already decided to come back at the beginning of next season.
· *Location**
The hotel is very convenient to access. Our transfer coach dropped us off right at the entrance, which is located on a car-free walkway. There isn't parking available, but the Ting Ting tourist train stops right outside and travels across the town. Within a two-minute walk, there are three small supermarkets for water, snacks, and drinks, along with two tobacconists. Most shops are located on Avenue Diagonal near the hotel. For those opting out of hotel dining, there are many restaurants nearby, including along the promenade leading to the marina and town center.
· *Room**
Our room was excellent, offering a lovely sea view. It included a fridge, air conditioning, a safe, a kettle with cups, and a phone for reception calls. However, you'll need to bring your own tea, coffee, and milk. The beds were very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep each night. There was plenty of storage space, including hanging areas, shelves, and multiple drawers. Spare blankets were thoughtfully placed in the wardrobe. There were enough plug sockets, and the air conditioning, which runs at set times controlled by the hotel, kept the room cool from late afternoon into the night. It can be temperature-adjusted but switches off if the balcony door is opened.
· *Cleanliness and Noise**
Everything, from the rooms to the public areas like the lobby and toilets, was impeccably clean. We noticed nothing broken or worn. The rooms were quiet, with no outside noise disrupting our rest.
· *Service, Food, and Atmosphere**
Check-in and check-out were swift and easy. The whole staff was courteous and always helpful. Special mention to Karen at reception for her excellent service and the fantastic restaurant team. Both breakfast and dinner were buffet-style. Breakfast included cold meats, cheeses, fresh fruit, bread, pastries, cereals, and cooked options. Dinner featured daily variations like salads, local hot dishes, plenty of vegetables, and delicious desserts. Drinks, such as a liter of mineral water for under 5 euros, were sensibly priced. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxing, and there was evening entertainment for those interested.
· *One Small Suggestion**
The coffee machines at breakfast sometimes had queues. A dedicated hot water dispenser would alleviate this.
· *Overall**
Our favorite aspects were the hotel's location, the welcoming staff, and the peaceful environment. The value for money was exceptional, and we wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.
