2026 Midelt Travel Guide: must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transport & travel experiences (updated in July)

We spent three weeks in Morocco, starting in Casablanca and wrapping up in Marrakesh. Our journey included stops in Rabat, Tangier, Chefchaouen, Fes, Midelt, Merzouga, Erg Chebbi, Dades Gorge, Ait Ben Haddou, Marrakesh, and Essouira. We had a private vehicle and were accompanied by Younes, an English-speaking Moroccan who's self-taught, well-versed in Western cultures, and deeply knowledgeable about Islam. During our time together, we engaged in many insightful discussions. Younes truly served as an excellent ambassador for his culture and country. While we covered many of the popular tourist attractions, we were thrilled to also explore several lesser-known spots. Younes went above and beyond to ensure our trip was safe and unforgettable—and it absolutely was!

It was unforgettable moment. will never forget what i've seen and exprienced there. Riding on a camel was an interesting and fun experience. The food was also good and the sky at night i've seen was incredible. definitely worth visiting!!

First time in the Sahara. This is definitely the pinnacle of my Morocco trip. There's even an opportunity to join a desert camp and sleep under the clear skies and the stars.
