🏨 Accommodation
Stay at Motel 6 Monroe, La
Address: 1035 Martin Luther King Junior Drive, Monroe, LA
This hotel’s price is super reasonable—perfect if you’re looking for a decent spot for a short stay. Parking is easy to find and there’s tons of space, which is a major win if you’re road-tripping. Rooms can be clean and comfy—especially with that blasting air conditioning, which is clutch for those hot Louisiana days! Some staff are super friendly, and they handled lost items like pros.
Heads up though: Some guests mention that the rooms are hit or miss—there’s feedback about dirty bathrooms, old towels, worn-out furniture, and missing amenities. Look out for things like moldy shower curtains (ick!) and check the room upon arrival. If you’re just crashing for a night or two, it’s manageable, but maybe bring your own towel for peace of mind!
🍴 Food Recommendations
Monroe serves up iconic Southern flavors! Try Cotton, located at 208 Texas Ave—people rave about their Cajun and Creole eats (and it’s perfect for a night out). For breakfast or brunch, head over to Lea’s Lunchroom (S 2nd St)—their pies and classic dishes are the stuff of local legend. For casual eats near Motel 6, check out Taco Bandido and Big Momma’s for super chill vibes and tasty plates.

Follow the star-studded path to Mon Kuwen, Chiang Mai. ✨
If you're visiting Mae Kampong, Chiang Mai, I highly recommend stopping by Mon Kuwen to pay your respects and recharge your spiritual energy before heading home.
Mon Kuwen (Thao Wessuwan Maharaj Park, Janthamongkhonsathan) is located in Huai Kaew, Mae On District, Chiang Mai.
We discovered this place because so many celebrities come here for blessings. During our visit, it was actually trending due to a popular BL series. Being fans of the show ourselves, we decided to drop by and soak up some good vibes.
Personally, I absolutely loved it here. The atmosphere is so lush and peaceful. Even though it had just rained and things were a bit damp, it didn't dampen our spirits at all! It’s a great one-stop spot where you can pay respects to various sacred deities all at once.
