Grand Teton National Park is located in the northwest of Wyoming, USA, adjacent to the southern part of Yellowstone National Park. It is famous for the towering and steep Teton Range and clear alpine lakes. This place is a paradise for photography enthusiasts, climbers, and nature observers, featuring magnificent glacial landforms and abundant wildlife resources. 🏔️ Natural Wonders Grand Teton is part of the Rocky Mountains in the United States and is one of the most popular peaks in the U.S. national parks. The peak stands at an elevation of 4,198 meters with a sharp summit piercing the sky, and it is the iconic symbol of the famous Paramount Pictures. This peak is a popular destination for climbers and hikers. On clear days, you can enjoy spectacular sunrises and sunsets from the summit. 🌲 Wildlife Grand Teton National Park is one of the largest wildlife reserves in North America, home to over 190 species of birds, mammals, and reptiles. The "Jackson Lake Lodge" is a historic hotel providing a luxurious lodging experience and exquisite dining services. Besides that, there are many campgrounds available for visitors to choose from.

In the previous article, I mentioned that if you stay one night in Grand Teton National Park, the top recommendation is Jackson Lake Lodge, facing a whole row of snowy mountains—absolutely breathtaking. However, it’s expensive and hard to book! After all, travelers from all over the world think the same as I do 😂 Randomly searching on the map, I unexpectedly discovered Molan Farm. The location is excellent; although it’s outside the park, it’s only about a twenty-minute drive to Jackson Lake, very convenient. We arrived at dusk, it was already dark, finished check-in, and went straight to sleep. The next morning, I realized we had actually found a treasure. We were staying in a hunter’s home. The entire hotel is filled with animal specimens—various deer, antelope, American bison, and even a whole grizzly bear. The cabinets display the family’s history, with all kinds of hunting tools. If we didn’t have to keep moving on, I really wouldn’t want to leave. Sitting right next to the blazing fireplace, sipping a bit of whiskey. Outside the window, the snowy mountains stand tall, and the vast wilderness stretches out. At that moment, I felt a bit dazed, as if I had truly stepped into the world of a Western cowboy movie. Leaving Yellowstone and entering Grand Teton, the journey was gloomy. Driving around the entire area, although the rain and snow didn't fall, the clouds were heavy and the wind was strong. Ultimately, I missed the oil painting-like reflections of the snow-capped mountains I had hoped for. To say there wasn't a small regret would be a lie. However, I still can't forget it. Whether driving along the snow-capped mountains or walking against the wind in the open fields, the view was breathtaking. From any angle, the entire row of snow-capped peaks was before my eyes. Few snow-capped mountains can be seen so close; you have to be there to truly appreciate it. I especially loved the little wooden cabins scattered across the open fields. One person, possessing an entire landscape. At that moment, I kept thinking about the people who once lived here; they must have been lonely yet free! I've compiled a list of my favorite viewpoints, each one worthy of a thumbs up 👍🏻 Enter from the North Gate, and walk clockwise around the scenic area. 📍Jackson Lake Overlook: The northernmost viewpoint offering panoramic views of the lake. On a clear day, you can capture stunning reflections of the snow-capped mountains. 📍Willow Flats: Abundant shrubs and multiple hiking trails, perfect for walks, cycling, and getting up close to nature. 📍Oxbow Bend: Rich in vegetation, the lake is beautiful, and many stunning reflections of colorful forests are found here. The chances of spotting wildlife are also high. 📍Snake River Overlook: Features a winding river and tall trees, providing some shade, but it offers a different perspective compared to an unobstructed view. 📍Schwabacher Landing: Similar to Oxbow Bend. If time is limited, choose one; if you have more time, visit both. The scenery remains the same, but the lighting and wildlife sightings are purely a matter of luck. 📍T.A. Moulton Barn You've probably seen these little cabins when researching, standing alone, guarding a row of snow-capped mountains. This is a historical site in the Teton region, a centuries-old barn. 📍Chapel of the Transfiguration My absolute favorite spot. I hesitated to go in, but an invitation from the priest prevented me from missing the classic cross-shaped frame. The chapel is small, but it's the spiritual center of the entire region. Praying facing the majestic snow-capped mountains, what couldn't be calming? 📍Taggart Lake A popular hiking route, winding through the forest along the lake, not too difficult. You can hike a short distance or circle the lake; on a clear day, you can capture the reflection of the snow-capped mountains. 📍Jenny Lake Similar to Taggart Lake; if you're going to circle the lake, choose one. [Tips] 1️⃣ Photogenic results are highly dependent on the weather; I recommend setting aside at least one day, or two half-days. Early morning and dusk are the best times to visit; the wind is light, the water is calm, and you have a chance to capture the reflection of the snow-capped mountains and even encounter animals. 2️⃣ If possible, stay at Jackson Lake Lodge. The floor-to-ceiling windows face the snow-capped mountains, offering stunning sunrises and sunsets. Of course, it's expensive and hard to book. If you can't get a reservation, you can stay in Moran like I did [I'll write a separate post about that later], eat at the lodge's restaurant, and enjoy the same beautiful scenery. 3️⃣ The nearest gas station is next to the lodge; fill up your tank when you pass by!

There is a restaurant in Jackson Lake Lodge that sells bison burgers. We had a quick lunch there. Bison didn't smell or taste particularly fishy. It was just like a hamburger. People with more sensitive taste or smell might be able to tell the difference. We sat at a table, which was the first time I'd sat down in the US. We ordered one beer and one burger. The fries were really delicious. Idaho is famous for potatoes, so maybe it's because we're nearby? The hamburger was just okay, but the fries and beer were really delicious. Visited the lodge to take pictures with the Grand Teton background The interior of the building was so beautiful that I took several pictures In particular, the Grand Teton seen from the window of the main hall on the second floor was the best It was nice to just sit there on the sofa and stare blankly for a long time Location Jackson Lake Lodge Address 101 Jackson Lake Lodge Rd, Moran, WY 83013 USA #August Travel Grant Event #Bison Burger #US Travel #US Western Travel #Grand Teton
