Sunset, coastline, and a large plate of seafood | A surprise at the border of Bohemia and Croatia
#JulyDestinations2025
Walking in a small fishing village on the border of Bosnia and Croatia, I gazed upon the tranquil sunset over the harbor on one side, and a piping hot seafood platter—clams, shrimp, grilled fish—was served on the table on the other. A large platter costs just over a dozen euros, and the highlight is that it's incredibly fresh, freshly caught and cooked.
There's no excessive tourist bustle here, only small, well-known and recommended restaurants by locals. Like Restoran Laguna, where I visited this time, sitting outdoors, enjoying the sea breeze and watching the sky turn from orange to pink, was truly the most relaxing moment of my trip.
The Bosnia-Herzegovina coast was a real surprise. It's cheaper than Croatia, but the scenery is just as stunning. It's perfect for a summer trip across the border, where you can stay a few nights and enjoy the food and sights. #BosniaTravel #CroatiaBorder #SeafoodPlatterParadise
