Lefkosa Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Lefkosa in Northern Cyprus
I never know that in Cyprus, there is actually divided into 2 parts: Turkish speaking part and the Greek speaking part. Some travelling tips:
1) Do remember to bring your passport along if you are crossing the border, it is just like going into another country
2) In Lefkosa, besides turkish lira, euros and credit cards are accepted I think (tried using credit card in a coffee shop and a supermarket and everything works out)
3) Things are really cheap in Turkish part whether you are talking about cigarettes or groceries, so remember to bring your shopping bag.
4) if you dont have a car or anything and want to take a quick look in Lefkosa, go to nicosia and cross the border from there.
Lefkosa (Nicosia)
Nicosia, also known as Lefkosia, is the divided capital city of Cyprus. South of the border, on the Greek side, the Cyprus Museum has archaeological finds from the Neolithic to Byzantine periods, including the Aphrodite of Soloi statue#Lefkosa #cyprus

The legendary Red Wine Commandaria, the world's oldest named wine, was developed in the 13th century by the Knights of the Hospital. At the Wine Museum, you have the opportunity to taste wine and listen to the story of the vineyard. The staff of the museum are three comets and a beautiful woman, one Huang Wei is responsible for the movie, the other Huang Qi guides the wine, and one cow and the small cat help the cash. The red wine is so delicious, the museum is too cute.

Cyprus Travel Guide
🌈 Dear friends, let me share my recent travel experience in Cyprus! This beautiful Mediterranean island is really a place where people linger.

Traveling in Cyprus, renting a car is the best choice. Self-driving can conveniently explore every corner of the island. Remember to choose an automatic car, it will be much more convenient!
🏠 Accommodation:
The cost of living here is very low, so you can choose some comfortable hotels or homestays.
🍽️ Catering:
You can't miss the food here! Experience a different style.
🕌 Attractions:
1️⃣ Larnaca Salt Lake: This is the home of flamingos and mosques. The scenery of the salt lake is very unique, it is recommended to go and enjoy the beautiful sunset at sunset.
2️⃣ Ayia Napa: There are Santorini-style churches and open-air sculpture parks, and the fun of exploring sea caves. The sunset here is also very beautiful!
3️⃣ Nicosia: Join a local group to learn more about the history and culture of the only divided capital in the world. Walk through the Ledra checkpoint, visit the Büyük Han caravan station, and feel the unique charm of this city.
4️⃣ Kakopetria: This is a summer resort in the mountains, where you can enjoy waterfalls and the Agios Stegis World Heritage Church.
5️⃣ Tomb of the Kings: Visit the 4th century World Heritage Tomb of the Dignitaries and feel the charm of this ancient culture.
6️⃣ Stone of Love: Enjoy one of the best sunsets here, and experience the legend of circling the rock with your lover on the night of the full moon to get eternal love.
💖 Feelings:
This trip made me deeply feel the enthusiasm and friendliness of the Cypriot people. Although divided into north and south, the islanders resist the political game of the great powers with love, and build a bridge between different religions and cultures. The cost of living here is low, and the sun is all year round, it is really a very suitable country for travel! If you also want to have a different trip, come to Cyprus!
