Stepping into the world of Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales, the museum's innovative exhibition methods bring a smile to your face. It was June, and the azure sky brought Hans Christian Andersen to my attention. I saw him gazing at the sky from the Copenhagen City Hall and decided to visit his hometown and see the museum dedicated to him: H.C. Andersen's House. When I arrived, I was thrilled to see the beautiful museum. The stories of the fairy tale master were right there inside. I grabbed headphones and began my fantastical journey. This is a museum you have to visit in person, because the stories and exhibits are guided by sound; you hear the audio wherever you go, and simply looking at the exhibits is not enough. I loved this museum; it was truly eye-opening. My favorite section was the exhibition hall showcasing Andersen's works, especially the one about the Emperor's New Clothes. It combined modern technology with fairy tales, which was very interesting, but the details weren't revealed much, leaving those who wanted to visit in suspense. I'm sure it will give you new insights. (Unless you're just planning a quick visit, you should probably think about it.) Location: H.C. Andersson's House Transportation: Take the DSB intercity train from Copenhagen (København H) to Odense St., then walk from the train station to your destination. I walked there myself from the train station; it was easy to find. Don't worry, you can go alone without any problems.

Albani Church is characterized by its very slender and pointed shape. Its length makes it difficult to capture the entire structure in a single photo, but its size and length give it an impressive presence. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to go inside, but I’m sure the interior is just as beautiful☺️ As for Sct. Knuds Monastery, I did explore the inside! It was so stunning that I found myself mesmerized the moment I stepped in. Odense is a city with beautiful streets, and these two churches blend seamlessly into the picturesque surroundings. Milling Hotel Plaza is a historic hotel, built around 1915–1916, and is a historically valuable classical building in Odense. Many official tourist websites mention it as one of the most beautiful classic hotel buildings in Denmark, making you feel like royalty when you stay there!

In Copenhagen, every view tells a story. Danish history, the monarchy, modern life, and the quiet happiness of its people are beautifully woven into the cityscape. Wherever you look, there’s something worth capturing—a street, a building, a moment that feels timeless. Unfortunately, our visit coincided with Christmas, so many shops and attractions were closed. A bit disappointing… but honestly, the city itself was more than enough. Walking around Copenhagen felt like strolling through an open-air museum, where every corner begged to be photographed. The cost of living was definitely a surprise at first. But once we learned that a 25% tax is included—and that it’s truly returned to citizens—it all made sense. Education and healthcare are free, and students even receive financial support to cover living expenses so they can fully focus on their studies until graduation. Interestingly, the same benefits apply to students from other EU countries, and now about 75% of students come from outside Denmark.
