🏖️ Must-Visit Spots (Corresponding to Photo Landmarks)
🔥 Cape Chinen Park (Photos 2, 3, 4): Located in southern Okinawa, it boasts a 270-degree unobstructed panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean. In photo 3, the lawn is specially trimmed into a four-leaf clover and heart shape, with the Japanese words "私は最強" (I am the strongest) and "幸せだね~" (So happy~) written on it. It's a super popular check-in spot and lovers' sanctuary.
🔥 Gyokusendo Cave · Blue Spring (Photo 5): Located inside "Okinawa World," it is one of Japan's top three limestone caves. Adorned with blue lights, the "Blue Spring" inside looks incredibly mysterious and dreamy.
🔥 Cape Manzamo (Photo 1): One of Okinawa's most famous landmarks, located in Onna Village. The uplifted coral reefs form a dramatic cliff resembling an "elephant's trunk," which is particularly breathtaking at sunset.
🔥 Churaumi Aquarium · Dolphin Theater (Photo 7): Located within Ocean Expo Park in Motobu Town. With the deep blue sea as a backdrop, watch smart dolphins and false killer whales perform amazing jumping shows.
🔥 Kouri Bridge (Photo 6): Known as the "Okinawa version of the Koshindo beach." This cross-sea bridge leads straight to Kouri Island. Under the bridge, a long white sand beach intertwines with crystal-clear "Kouri Blue" water, making every snapshot look like a masterpiece.
🚇 Transportation Options
· Self-Driving (Highly Recommended): Okinawa's public transportation is mainly the Yui Rail in downtown Naha. To visit central, northern, and southern spots like Cape Manzamo, Kouri Bridge, and Cape Chinen shown in the photos, **renting a car and driving yourself is the most convenient and flexible option** (taking the Okinawa Expressway is very smooth).
· Sightseeing Bus Day Tour (Suitable for non-drivers): ** If you don't want to drive, there are plenty of "Central & Northern Day Tour" or "Southern Half-Day Tour" sightseeing bus itineraries departing from Naha City. The routes perfectly cover: *Churaumi Aquarium + Kouri Island + Cape Manzamo* or *Gyokusendo Cave + Cape Chinen*, which are also fantastic choices.
🍜 Local Delicacies
Okinawa Soba: Unlike traditional Japanese soba, these noodles are chewier. The broth is usually made from bonito and pork bones, topped with tender braised pork ribs or pork belly.
🐷 Agu Pork Hot Pot: Okinawa's specialty black pork is sweet, evenly marbled, and has no gamey taste. It's best enjoyed as Shabu-Shabu—absolutely delicious.
🥩 Ishigaki Beef / Ryukyu Wagyu Yakiniku: The central and northern areas have many famous Yakiniku (BBQ) restaurants (e.g., Yakiniku Motobu Bokujo, Ryukyu no Ushi). The melt-in-your-mouth Wagyu beef is an absolute must-try.
Sea Grapes & Taco Rice: ** Okinawa's unique seaweed "Sea Grapes" have a popping, crunchy texture; Taco Rice is a fusion of American and Ryukyuan food cultures, deliciously tart and spicy.
Blue Seal Ice Cream 🍦: An ice cream shop found everywhere in Okinawa. Highly recommend the Beni-imo (purple sweet potato) and Salt Chinsuko (Okinawan salt cookie) flavors!
🏠 Accommodation Recommendations
🌷 Naha City (Near Kokusai Dori / Shintoshin): Ideal for the first or last night. Convenient transportation, plenty of food, and great shopping.
🌷 Onna Village / Yomitan Village (Central Coast Resorts): Perfect for the middle of your trip. This area has many hotels with stunning ocean views (like ANA InterContinental Manza Beach Resort, Hotel Monterey Okinawa Spa & Resort). Open the window to see the blue sea as shown in photos 1 and 2—extremely relaxing.
🌷 Nago / Motobu Town (Northern Area): If you want to explore Churaumi Aquarium and Kouri Island at a more leisurely pace, you can choose to stay a night in the north and enjoy the tranquility of nature.
💡 Travel Tips
1. Sun Protection and Hydration: Okinawa's UV rays are very strong (as you can tell by the brilliant sunshine in the photos). Be sure to apply sunscreen and drink plenty of water in unshaded outdoor areas like Cape Chinen and Cape Manzamo.
2. Slip Prevention in Gyokusendo Cave: The limestone cave is damp year-round with dripping water, making the ground quite slippery. It is highly recommended to wear non-slip sneakers or flat shoes and take good care of your camera and phone.
3. Aquarium Dolphin Show Times: The dolphin show (Okichan Theater) at Churaumi Aquarium is free to watch, but there are fixed sessions every day. It's recommended to check the schedule on the official website before heading out and arrive 15-20 minutes early to grab a good seat.
