#Capri by Fraser, China Square / Singapore Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
A Singapore serviced apartment surrounded by delicious food options
šØ Capri by Fraser, Chinatown, Singapore
šHighly recommended:
Great location in Chinatown with lots of tasty options. A 2-minute walk to the national breakfast spots Ya Kun and Toast Box. Nearby are Liao Fan Hawker Chan, Jumbo Seafood, Song Fa Bak Kut Teh, and a frog porridge restaurant, all within walking distance. Attractions like Clarke Quay and Fort Canning Park are also close by.
The apartment comes with a swimming pool and gym, which is a plus for families with children, especially in the hot weather. Those who know, know.
šRoom facilities:
Great value for money. Booked on Ctrip for just over 1000, the rooms are spacious and come with a bathtub. The hotel is quite new and the hardware is excellent.
šItinerary:
A simple stroll around the city, which doesn't take long because it's too hot for a five and a half year old child who is not very interested in the zoo. Plus, the days back in the city were sunny, so we chose two indoor and one outdoor suburban hike with few people around.
The Science Centre is a bit far from the city centre. It rained on the day, and the hotel front desk had the staff help call a taxi. It took about 30 minutes by taxi. The centre is large and very interactive, and not crowded on weekdays.
šNote tips:
However, children over five with little English need their parents to provide simultaneous interpretation or a bit of translation, especially when it comes to professional explanations of scientific principles, which can be quite taxing for the parents.
Navigating the maze, the water park at the entrance, and some less interactive installations can be completed independently by the child, so everyone should consider their own situation before visiting.

Capri By Fraser China Square
Celebrated our anniversary @ Capri by Fraser Chinasquare. Check in was fast and we were greeted by many cute decorations in the room. They gave us a free soft toy and a bottle of wine! Guest services was extremely efficient, always attending to our requests asap. Our favourite part was the pool. The pool had a really nice view of Singaporeās CBD area which makes it a very nice place to chill and lounge. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone! #mytripvlog #urbanexplorer #tripblazers

Staycay @ Capri by Fraser China Square
It is not our first time staying with Capri Fraser but it is our first time at their China Square outlet. Not sure why it took us so long to try when the location is so centralised with many good foods around! For a weekday stay, it cost us less than $145 at this 4-star hotel's most basic superior room.
Their superior room comes with 1 king size bed, ensuite bathroom with shower, spacious working desk, kitchenette with microwave and mini-fridge. What more can you ask for? We were there for a staycation prior to our wedding to unwind. The staff were really nice to decorate up the place, threw in a bottle of red wine with handwritten well-wishes.
If you are a tourist, I reckon this is one of the best location as it is near to both Chinatown and Clarke Quay. You get to explore Chinatown in the day, understanding some heritage of Singapore and have a great time at Clarke Quay's bars at night.
Definitely returning when the price is right for us!

Capri China Square artwork
After eating up a feast at Hong Lim food centre, I will go for a walk around the Chinatown area. Passing by Pagoda street and then towards Chinatown Street Market and finally at China Square. You will also see the Capri Hotel at China Square too. In this area, there are many wall murals and statues around and you can spot them easily when you are on foot. I spotted these 4 men statues and they looked like they were having a break and chit chatting over some chinese tea and snacks. It gives you a glimpse into the early days in Singapore from the bustling actions found in these artefacts.

Eco-friendly Stay at Capri by Fraser
#greentrip #greenstay
In general, when we travel, we are using a lot more resources than necessary. However, we can do our part by including more eco-friendly decisions while traveling. Some hotels also include more eco-friendly & sustainable features in their design & rooms.
The rooms at Capri by Fraser, China Square are one of those, with eco-friendly features such as kitchenette with a premium filtered drinking water tap, where you can just drink from using their cups. I will also use the tap to refill my water bottle whenever I'm back at the hotel. Utensils are also provided, so that there's no need for disposable utensils when doing takeaways or deliveries.
There are also no small toiletries bottles in the shower room. In place, there are 3 soap dispensers, which help to save the need to produce so many small toiletries bottles and throwing them away whenever a guest leaves.
There's also a recycle bin just beside the trash bin in each room. We can also help to put those recyclable items like plastic/glass bottles and papers in the recycle bin instead of all to the trash bin.
Capri by Fraser China Square is also a very centralised location and nearby many attractions and shopping places such as Chinatown and Clarke Quay. You can even walk around to these places, which is more eco-friendly too.

3D2N Stay at Capri Fraser China Square
Had a wonderful 3D2N stay at Capri Fraser China Squareās Studio Executive Room in Mar 2022, soon after the hotel reopened for leisure bookings. While the lounge (The Den) wasnāt available, the room was self-sufficient and amazing enough for my stay. The only room category with a bathtub (I think), it didnāt disappoint, with the bathtub being just the right size for a comfortable soak without leaving me worried that Iād slip and drown hahahah.
The room amenities were also comprehensive and thoughtful, with a filtered water tap, amazing Malin+Goetz shampoo, conditioner and body wash, and a super comfortable lounge chair for when I just wanted to sit and relax. Best thing was that there was mio stadium (for the football fans)!
Definitely one of the best staycations Iāve ever been on.
Damage: ~$350 for 2 nights

Capri by Fraser China Square (just reopened)
Address - 181 South Bridge Rd, Singapore 058743
Ambiance/Facilities - Cool trendy hotel (very arty feel look). Facilities : rooftop swimming pool and gym, washing machines, dryer, game corner. Steam room not open due to COVID-19. Restaurant & lounge not open as well as hotel just reopened for staycation)
Highlights - Got free upgrade from Superior to Executive room (with kitchenette & Nespresso machine). Super affordable price (less than $100) after deduction of trip coins š„°
Rating - 4 out of 5
Got a very good deal for this last minute staycation as hotel just reopened, & even got upgraded to an Executive room. No breakfast (anyway restaurant not open yet so will be bento style if opt for this), but there's so many Breakfast choices around the area.
Rooftop Swimming pool quite big & empty (no one there when I went up). Gym on the rooftop as well facing the pool. There's also a Spin & Play room where the washing machines, dryer & a game machine are (play while waiting for clothes to wash & dry). Lounge & restaurant closed so no comments.
Overall, it's a super value for money staycation. Nice clean room, quite big too. Lots of places nearby to go (Chinatown, Clarke Quay, Tanjong Pagar area all within walking distance) š

#fallishere Capri By Fraser Singapore China Square has a winning formula for a fantastic stay. Its great location, within walking distance of both Chinatown and Telok Ayer MRT stations, offers convenience for exploring the city. The abundance of eateries in the area adds to the overall appeal.
The room's cleanliness, comfortable bedding, and well-thought in-room amenities contribute to a pleasant stay. Despite being sandwiched between office buildings, privacy is well-maintained, even with curtains open.
One standout aspect is the hotel's environmental consciousness, providing filtered tap drinking water instead of bottledāa thoughtful and sustainable choice. This commitment to eco-friendly practices is commendable and aligns with contemporary values.
In conclusion, Capri By Fraser Singapore China Square is a solid choice for those seeking comfort, convenience, and environmental consciousness in their accommodation. With the promise of a great location and a commitment to sustainability, it's a hotel worth returning to for future stays.

Hotel review in Singapore
Address - capri by Fraser China square Singapore
Ambiance/Facilities - great to have organic amenities
Highlights - super good location
Avg. Price per Person -HKD $800
Rating - 4.5/5
Our second time staying at Capri Fraser China Square. Quality of service and hotel room cleanliness was still great and I enjoyed the stay and facilities. There were more business travellers and less families so it was a good and peaceful stay for us. Hotel staff was friendly and willing to give us a quiet room.
Loved the gym too! Overlooked the pool. Very well-equipped with adequate sanitisation.
