Experience the grandeur of Europe's heavenly architecture!
Cologne Cathedral, officially known as Cologne Cathedral - St. Maria KapFEDiale, is a Gothic-style Catholic church located in Cologne, Germany. Construction of the cathedral began in 1248 and took several hundred years to complete, making it one of the most important religious buildings in Germany.
The architectural style of Cologne Cathedral is characterized by its distinctive Gothic features, including pointed arches, flying buttresses, and richly colored stained glass windows. The towering spires inside the cathedral give the entire building a solemn and majestic appearance. The construction of Cologne Cathedral took about 600 years, starting in the 13th century and not completed until the early 19th century.
Cologne Cathedral is one of the largest churches in Germany and one of the world's most famous examples of Gothic architecture. Its grandeur and uniqueness make it a landmark building in Cologne, attracting a large number of visitors. In addition, the cathedral also houses some precious cultural relics, such as the oldest clergy relics in Germany (Holy Roman Emperor's relics

The Blues of Cologne Cathedral
📍I have posted several travel photos about Cologne Cathedral,
🌟Its unique twin spires are the landmark of Cologne
🌟Slowly walking red-robed priests in the cathedral
🌟Various activities held in front of the cathedral: concerts, Christmas markets, carnival street shots, making the ancient cathedral full of vitality
🌟The cathedral at sunset is even more beautiful
Yesterday, I had a meeting near the cathedral. During the break, I quickly ran inside to take a few photos of the cathedral's architecture. At around four in the afternoon, sunlight streamed through the windows, making blue the dominant color.
❤Indeed, light is the best palette.

Go to Germany and visit the top 5 places worth visiting.
1.) Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Picture 123
With centuries of history, Cologne is one of the best cities in Germany to explore. Located on the western edge of the country, this city blends everything together and is perfect for a weekend getaway. For me, the most impressive landmark must be Cologne Cathedral. Located on the banks of the Rhine River, it overlooks Cologne and is well worth a visit. Not only that, but there is also a lot of history within its walls. The Gothic architecture of the cathedral is the most ambitious building project since the Middle Ages.
2.) Rottenburg, Plot 456
One of the most vibrant and colorful places in Germany is Rothenburg. Well, at least in my opinion!
Rothenburg is located on the edge of the state of Bavaria in northern Germany, and is one of the best tourist destinations in Germany. For many years, it has been included in the route of the Romantic Road.
3.) Burger Figure 7
One of the treasures of the Elbe River is the city of Hamburg. Trust me, Hamburg has too many epic sights!
Although it may not have the "advantages" of Berlin, as one of the best destinations for city travel in Germany, it has a strong influence.
4.) Dresden Figure 8
Dresden is located in the Saxony region of Germany and is a city about the size of Edinburgh in the UK. This makes it big enough to be vibrant and full of things to do, but also small enough to explore over a long weekend.
Dresden was once known as the "Jewel Box", housing several luxurious buildings and artworks.
5.) Munich Figure 9
Munich is known as the capital of Bavaria and is undoubtedly a very beautiful city, as well as one of the most worthwhile places to visit in Germany. Not only that, Munich can be the gateway to the wider Bavarian region, and can also easily become the starting or ending point of your travels.

Memorable: Exploring Cologne
During my recent trip to Cologne, I stayed at a cheap hostel located in the city center, which made it easy to walk to many of the major attractions. The hostel was clean and comfortable, with friendly staff and a great social atmosphere.
One of the highlights of my trip was visiting the Cologne Cathedral, a stunningly beautiful and historic church that dominates the city skyline. The cathedral is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the most visited landmarks in Germany. The interior of the cathedral is equally impressive, with soaring columns, intricate stained glass windows, and a wealth of historical artifacts on display.
Another highlight of my trip was walking across the Hohenzollern Bridge, which offers great views of the city and the river Rhine. The bridge is also a popular spot for love locks, with couples from all over the world attaching locks to the railings as a symbol of their love.
Another interesting place to visit in Cologne is the City Gate, a historic monument that dates back to the 18th century. The gate is a popular tourist attraction and offers great views of the city from its vantage point on the riverbank.
Overall, I had a great time in Cologne and would highly recommend it as a destination for travelers looking to experience the culture and history of Germany on a budget. The city has a wide range of affordable accommodation options, as well as a wealth of things to see and do, including the stunning Cathedral, the Hohenzollern Bridge, and the City Gate.#mytripvlog

Köln Dom or Cologne Cathedral is one of the most beautiful cathedrals that I saw in my travels in Europe. The gothic style cathedral is amazingly beautiful and it is worth it to see and visit the place!
We went there from Frankfurt by ICE (Inter City Express, german bullet trains). It was about 2 hours train ride. We bought the the 2nd class ticket and it has no big difference with the 1st class ticket in terms of comfortability. The ride was quiet and relaxing!
You can get a cheaper price and a better time departure if you book your ticket ahead of time, about 3-5 months in advance.

Koln Cologne Germany
A marvelous city in Germany with the tallest 515ft and oldest twin spired Cologne Catheral church that survived WWII. Not a sight to be missed cause it’s just right next to the train station. so convenient! lots of shops and street performances to be seen around the church as well.
Crossed the river to capture 360 deg view of Cologne city from KolnTriangle.
Why the city is called Cologne? because it’s the city first created the cologne for Napoleon since 1709! Napoleon’s been using it in his bath. imagine it!!! go and get a souvenir cologne there. Smell is quite good.
Last but not least a must drink in Koln for their kolsch beer to complete my Koln stay.

Amazing Cologne Cathedral
Truly a magnificent piece of architecture, my first impressive view exit from train main station (hbf). It’s huge.
There's no entrance fee. The inside has tall, well decorated ceilings. I loved the stained glass windows they were very beautiful.
The tower climb is not too arduous, but you do have to climb 533 steps. There is a combo-ticket available for treasury and tower climb, would recommend it. For single ticket it is €6 per pax. Once at the top the views are incredible.
I will sum the view with one word, breathtaking. Definitely a must visit for Cologne (Köln)

Europe’s Largest Gothic Church - Kolner Dom
#createwithtrip to Cologne to see the Europe’s largest Gothic Church, with world’s tallest twin spired church and largest facade. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996, it’s a very popular sight. make sure you go early to avoid the crowd.
Construction started in 1248 but did not finish until 1880.
One of the most important treasure in the cathedral is the Shrine of the Three Kings, from 12th Century. It is traditionally believed to hold the remains of the Three Wise Men, whose relics were acquired by Frederick Barbarossa at the conquest of Milan in 1164. Also check out the dot matrix stained glass window.
Do allocate at least an hour as there are a lot of things to discover inside the church.

Cologne Cathedral
A Roman Catholic cathedral in the heart of Cologne. This Gothic-style church building was built in 1248 has a unique shape. The design of Cologne Cathedral is similar to Amiens Cathedral in terms of land plan, style and width in proportion to the height of the central nave.
Inside this church there are several points that must be seen and paid attention to, namely the Altar which is still standing majestically since 1322, using black marble, the Temple of the Three Kings, 5 windows made of stained glass on the southern wall which was a gift from King Ludwig I of Bavaria.

Of course the main attraction if Cologne / Köln is the cathedral on the main square. But the city also offers other places that are very nice. For me the pedestrian street is super nice with plenty of shops and good cafés. It is very convenient for shipping tourism during the sale days.

Because of a church and love of a city
Cologne Cathedral can be preserved in World War II, the reason is actually because it is regarded as a bombing landmark, and the blessing of the top of the cross. This church is the perfect example of a Gothic church building. Only when you stand in front of it can you know why it takes 600 years to build.
This is a classic that church control can't miss anyway. The little friend stayed in front of the church for a long time. And I, this lady who doesn't love architecture, also looks at the Cologne Cathedral. The interior of the church is even more impressive, and the crowd continues to sigh. At night, when I left the city on a cruise, I took a look at Cologne Cathedral for the last time, and I was so fascinated by the beauty of the night.

Cologne is Germany's fourth largest city, and the city's business card is naturally the ancient and luxurious Cologne Cathedral.
This is the tallest twin tower church in the world. It is like two sharp swords, straight into the sky. Medieval people believe that the higher the church is built, the closer it is to the gods, and their prayers and repentances can be more easily transmitted to God.
This glorious tall Gothic cathedral was built in 1248 and lasted for more than 600 years, making us amazed at it today. In 1996, Cologne Cathedral was listed as a World Heritage Site.
The cathedral was preserved to the present day, and thanks to its fact that it was a cross from a high altitude, it survived in World War II. Although there are often minor repairs, we can still see it as a whole. rare.
In addition to its own important values and art treasures in the church, Cologne Cathedral also demonstrates the enduring power of Christianity in Europe. It is a powerful testimony to the power and persistence of medieval and modern European Christian faith.
The first reaction to the church must be awe-inspiring. The lobby on the first floor is large and tall. The middle is a long and long bench. The sides are thick stone pillars. The light is very dark. The high glass windows on the front and sides of the walls are the main lighting. The total area of more than 10,000 square meters depicting the stained glass of the characters of the Bible, but only four colors: "Gold" means light and eternal; "Red" means love; "Blue" means faith: "Green" means hope and future. Under the sun, these glass lights flash, colorful, and the characters depicted are vivid.

Weekend Trip in Cologne
I start with Walking to one of the most beautiful Cathedral in the world and yes!
I think it’s one of the most beautiful the Architecture from outside is very stunning, with the details and how big the Cathedral is.
And then I walk inside to see the inside architecture and the inside did not disappoint me as well.
Besides the crowded crow both in- and outside, I still find this place stunning anyway.
Would definitely come back to visit during the Christmas Market again.
And I went to the Thai restaurant to get some Thai noodle.
The place called Ramasura, and they serve the Authentic Thai noodles with good atmosphere and friendly service, would come back again!

The Cologne Cathedral will amaze you more than once.
🌥️ It is said that the gray-black tone of cloudy days is the main color of Cologne, making the picture look solemn and solemn. From a distance, it looks like two towering spires, making people feel a little awe and admiration, bringing a strong sense of sight and visual impact.
💞 As you get closer and enlarge the details, you will admire the complex and delicate structural design of Gothic architecture even more. What is amazing in the church is the beautiful medieval stained glass windows depicting scenes from the Bible. If you sit quietly in the church, you can look up and enjoy it for an afternoon.

Visiting Cologne Cathedral was an unforgettable experience! This towering Gothic masterpiece left me in awe with its sheer size, intricate details, and stunning beauty. The two massive spires stand out against the skyline, making it visible from almost any point in the city. Walking inside, the cathedral felt both grand and serene, with beautiful stained glass windows casting colorful light across the stone floors. The height and scale of the arches, combined with the quiet sense of reverence, gave me chills.

Imagine two towering spires reaching up 157 meters into the sky… trust me, standing at the base will make you feel tiny! 🤯 Fun fact: it took over 600 years to build this beauty, and every inch is filled with history and detail. Cologne Cathedral (Kolner Dom)
Cologne Cathedral (Kolner Dom) has been under construction since 1248, but faced several interruptions, taking over six centuries to complete. It was finally finished in 1880, marked by a cornerstone laying ceremony that documented the construction process. The Cologne Cathedral is a Roman Catholic religious site and was the largest cathedral and the tallest building in the world for four years (1880-1884). During World War II, Cologne was bombed 14 times. Although the cathedral sustained some damage, it did not collapse, which some believe was a miracle. Others think it was spared because it served as a crucial landmark for pilots. Due to the damage, repairs were carried out from 1945 to 1948.
