Dali Erhai Lake is less crowded and more beautiful in the off-season, making it a relaxing and pleasant place to visit. 😃 You can take great photos without any filters, and you can never take enough. 😉 Here is a guide to my trip to Dali. 📄 📍 Erhai Lake Route: Shuanglang Ancient Town ➡️ Luwo Mountain ➡️ Wenbi Village ➡️ Ideal State (Santorini) ➡️ Longkan Wharf ➡️ Dali Ancient Town ➡️ Internet-famous S-bend ➡️ Langqiao ➡️ Xizhou Ancient Town ➡️ Finally return to Shuanglang Ancient Town. 👉 Be sure to go clockwise so that the lane is by the sea. ✔️ The scenery along the east coast is beautiful, while the west coast is mostly out of sight of the sea. ✨1. Longkan Wharf: Suitable for watching the sunrise, with seagulls, and great for taking photos. 😎 ✨2. Internet-famous S-bend: Also good for watching the sunrise, but crowded. 😜 ✨3. Langqiao: Check in at the bridge hole and the lonely tree, with many photo spots. 🤩 ✨4. Xizhou Ancient Town: Experience Bai architecture and check in at the corner building, also crowded. 😃 ✨5. Shuanglang Ancient Town: Great to stay in a sea-view room at night, highly commercialized, but comfortable overall. 😉 ✨6. Luwo Mountain: By Erhai Lake, with great photo spots and abandoned windows. 😎 ✨7. Wenbi Village: Rainbow road into the village, optional for photos. 😃 ✨8. Xiaoputuo: There is a temple on the island, not recommended. 😕 ✨9. Ideal State: Highly commercialized, with great photo spots, and requires consumption to enter. 😒 ✨10. Xingsheng Bridge: European-style bridge, great for photos. 😃 👉 Only four types of vehicles are allowed in the scenic area, and electric vehicles/four-wheelers rented outside are not allowed. Transportation in the scenic area: ✔️ Bicycles with flower baskets: 10-20 yuan/day, must be returned where rented, not recommended. 😕 ✔️ Shared bicycles: 6 yuan/hour, mostly at Caicun Wharf, with Haixie Park as the destination. 😃 ✔️ Shared electric vehicles: 15 yuan/hour, mostly at Caicun Wharf, with Haixie Park as the destination. 😉 ✔️ Sightseeing vehicles: With stops, need to wait, not free. 😒 ⚠️ Recommendation: Stay in Dali Ancient Town and take a taxi to "Longkan Ancient Ferry", then walk around and rent a shared bicycle or electric vehicle. 📄 Tips: ✔️ Stay near Dali Ancient Town, as the beautiful spots are concentrated on the west coast, close to the ancient town. 😃 ✔️ The temperature difference between morning and evening is large in Yunnan, so bring a jacket. You can wear a dress on sunny days, and white or light colors are great for photos. 😉 ✔️ November to March is the seagull season, with many seagulls from Siberia by Erhai Lake, and the redwood trees turn red, making for great photos. 😎
