Amazing Diamond Beach
Diamond Beach is one of the most spectacular places in Iceland. It's a black sand beach littered with huge chunks of ice that have broken off from the nearby Jökulsárlón glacier and were carried all the way to the beach. You can explore the area on foot or join a short boat tour. Bring a bottle to carry some of the melting water, which is so pure and delicious. Wildlife enthusiasts will also find many birds here.
Diamond Beach is located in Jökulsárlón on the south coast of Iceland. You can get there on your own with a rental car, or join one of the daily tours. The area itself is open all day and is free of charge, though you do have to pay for the boat tour.

The beauty of Diamond Beach knows no bounds
It feels like Iceland has suddenly turned into summer.
The sun is so warm that it makes one drowsy,
and the strong winds scatter everything around.
It's a perfect representation of a day in Icelandic weather.
Sitting on Diamond Beach, basking in the sun,
I feel such bliss from the sunshine.
The view before me
always distracts me from concentrating.
The glimmering waves and the leisurely seals
just like that, time is wasted,
and I feel completely justified in doing so.
ps: Diamond Beach isn't only a place to see ice in winter,
it's possible to find ice there all year round.
It's just a matter of how much or the size of the ice blocks.

#familytrips2024
Approaching Diamond Beach, anticipation surged within us like the crashing waves against its shimmering shores. As we stepped onto the black volcanic sands, our eyes were drawn to the glistening icebergs scattered along the coastline, like precious jewels adorning the beach. The contrast of the translucent ice against the dark sand created a mesmerizing tableau, a symphony of light and shadow dancing upon the water's edge. Walking amidst the glittering ice sculptures, we felt a sense of wonder and reverence for the raw beauty of nature, each iceberg a fleeting reminder of the eternal dance between ice and sea. Standing on Diamond Beach, with the icy waves lapping at our feet, we were reminded of the delicate balance of the natural world and the preciousness of each fleeting moment.
Looking ahead, our next dream destination beckons from the lush jungles of Costa Rica. We envision exploring hidden waterfalls nestled amidst tropical foliage, encountering exotic wildlife in their natural habitats, and immersing ourselves in the vibrant culture of this Central American paradise. Costa Rica's abundance of natural beauty and commitment to conservation promise an unforgettable adventure, where every moment is an opportunity to connect with the world around us and deepen our appreciation for the wonders of the Earth. It's a destination that resonates with our sense of adventure and desire to explore, inviting us to embark on a journey of discovery and rediscovery amidst the lush landscapes of the rainforest.

Diamond beach Iceland
Beautiful and unique place near the glacier.

It's the ice that is the diamond, but what shines is your heart
Iceland, a unique and independent place. Here you can not only appreciate the volcanic blue ice cave. But the diamond beach is not to be missed. 😍😍😍
🌟Highlights:
Iceland's unique black beach, formed by volcanic rock weathering. And on it are the perennial ice left by the glacier. Crystal clear, worthy of the name of diamond. 👍👍👍
Although the cold wind is biting, but holding a piece of it under the sun is really dazzling. Paired with the distant waves of the sea, everything is so perfect. 🤭🤭🤭
Refreshing, absolutely unseen elsewhere.

Immerse yourself in the realm of ice and fire - Iceland
Iceland combines ice and fire, where the scenery allows you to experience the beauty of two polar opposites at once.
North: Step into the glacier national park, traverse the vast glaciers, as if you are in a world of ice and snow.
East: Through the transparent waves of the diamond beach, admire the aurora dancing in the sky.
South: Amidst the howling tides of the black sand beach, look up at the fiery eruption of the volcano.
West: Overlook the green farmland from the grand waterfall, feel the nurturing of the earth.
Not only does it have the aurora and volcanoes, Iceland also has simple and friendly residents. Here, you can both appreciate the magnificent scenery and enjoy a peaceful life.
Iceland is a masterpiece of nature, and also a country that brings endless surprises to the soul. Why not add it to your next travel plan.

I VISITED A DIAMOND BEACH FOR THE FIRST TIME!
Nestled along Iceland's stunning southern coast lies the enigmatic and alluring Black Diamond Beach. With its jet-black volcanic sands glistening like precious gems, this otherworldly landscape is a photographer's dream and a nature lover's paradise. The juxtaposition of the obsidian-hued sands against the roaring white-capped waves of the North Atlantic Ocean creates a mesmerizing spectacle that's both surreal and captivating.
The beach owes its name to the countless glimmering ice chunks, resembling black diamonds, that wash ashore from the nearby Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon. As the sunlight dances on these ice fragments, it's as if you're standing in the midst of a celestial treasure trove (Literally, in the last pic!)
Visiting Black Diamond Beach was an unforgettable experience, a chance to witness the raw forces of nature at their most dramatic. It's a place where the elements collide, where icy remnants and volcanic sands meet, and where every step feels like a journey into the heart of Iceland's wild and untamed beauty. Exploring this unique destination is like stepping into a different world, one that's surreal, serene, and simply spectacular. #BlackDiamondBeach #IcelandicBeauty #NatureWonders #TravelDreams

Come and experience the beautiful scenery of Iceland together!
After a sleepless night, my brain was idle for a whole night.
Wake up at six o'clock, that's good.
Quietly watching the silhouette of distant mountains in front of the hotel window.
Until dawn, the clouds were torn apart by the morning air.
I drove to Diamond Beach.
In the warm and subtle sunrise
Watching the waves wash the beach.
Gold condenses in time.
With the wind

2022 More than Travel · 2022 is really a year worth commemorating for myself, because I have traveled to more than 10 countries one after another, and all the experiences and memories are unforgettable.
On the journey, everything is a treasure worth cherishing. Not just the moments on the road.
Beautiful scenery is also a tribute to the younger self of a second ago.

Going to Iceland, a thousand diamonds for the sweetheart
Legend of Saturn and Jupiter's air contains methane, which is turned into a diamond under the action of strong lightning, high temperature and high pressure. Saturn and Jupiter will have a "diamond rain". Saturn will produce about a thousand tons of "diamonds" each year through this process. Some "diamonds" can reach a diameter of one centimeter. If there is a place on the planet that rivals it, there are only diamond ice beaches in Iceland. The mysterious black sand beach is covered with crystal ice. Come here, you can write a poem for each piece of ice.
Diamond Beach is just across from Jaegu Salon, the estuary of the glacial lake. Because the lake has a large amount of water and carries a lot of ice, many ice pieces are pushed by the ocean current to the black sand beach, forming a unique landscape of diamond beach. When the huge waves rushed to beat the ice, the heart also roared along with the waves. Black sand, crystal clear ice, and some even higher than a person, reflecting different light in the sunlight, sometimes gold, sometimes blue, sometimes white, sometimes transparent. Some people like to lie on the blue ice, some people pick up their toes and stick their tongues. Some people hold a piece of ice to take pictures. Some people kneel on the ground and watch the world against a piece of ice. In this pure paradise, you can't find fun. .
It is recommended to take a tripod and a dimming mirror to shoot the slow door, the effect will be even more amazing.
If the weather is good, it is recommended to shoot the sunrise on the east shore of Diamond Beach, absolutely super large!
makiori.
The crystal clear ice is scattered on this black sand beach, and it looks like a smashing diamond under the sunlight, just as its name suggests. The wind blows the sea many times and slaps on the big ice, turning up the waves. This diamond beach is located near the glacial lake.
Don't patronize the photo, be careful that the water behind you suddenly comes up, the cold sea is biting~
Yoyo..
Diamond Beach, located opposite the Glacier Lake. Large ice floes flow into the North Atlantic Ocean, and some ice cubes are washed by the waves onto the black sand beach, hence the name Diamond Beach. There are a lot of photography big coffees here, and the art of light and shadow is being produced with long guns and short guns. We are really limited in time. We can only take a pat and enjoy the world of jewels.
Large ice floes flow into the sea, and some are washed by the waves to the beach. Someone is holding a piece of ice to take pictures. Some people are kneeling on the ground and watching the world with a piece of ice. In this pure paradise, you can't find fun.
Ice chunks of different sizes are polished by the waves, becoming smooth and shiny, with sharp edges and corners, like crystal clear diamonds, forming a clear boundary with white waves. Some ice cubes are even taller than a person. They reflect different light in the sunlight. Sometimes it is blue, sometimes white, sometimes transparent. It is said that if the ice cubes are still shining at sunset .
