5* Hotel Review: Duxton Reserve Singapore, Autograph Collection
Exquisite, Elegance and Historic Charms - A Comprehensive Review
Welcome to the epitome of refined decor and historical allure at Duxton Reserve, a distinguished 5-star hotel nestled in the heart of Singapore. As part of the prestigious Marriott Bonvoy collection, Duxton Reserve seamlessly blends modern opulence with the timeless charm of its historic surroundings. So is this hotel worth the 5* rating?
Accommodation: ★★★☆☆
Being a boutique hotel and close to CBD area, the Shophouse room is pretty small. However, it’s elegantly decorated, with a black and white theme. The bed is comfortable and I loved the firmness of the pillows.
Amenities: ★☆☆☆☆
If you are looking for a luxurious amenities, like pool and gym or a rooftop bar, this will not be a hotel you are looking at. So this rating is actually not applicable.
Location: ★★★★★
Situated in the heart of Singapore's historic Tanjong Pagar district, Duxton Reserve boasts an unbeatable location. The hotel is within walking distance of popular attractions, trendy cafes, and cultural sites. The proximity to public transportation makes it easy to explore the city. Whether you're a business traveler or a tourist, the central location of Duxton Reserve adds immense value to your stay.
Service: ★★★★☆
Been a 5* hotel, the service cannot go any wrong. Most staff will go above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. From the warm welcome at check-in to a small gesture of a piece of birthday cake, they tried to have every aspect of the service to reflect a commitment to the guest satisfaction.
Breakfast: ★★★☆☆
The breakfast at Duxton Reserve is a pleasant culinary experience. I love the presentation of the food, but to me the breakfast menu is just ok. From a 5* hotel’s standard, I actually would expect a bit more.
Conclusion:
With its central location, this will make it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers. However for me, I would prefer others Marriott Bonvoy 5* hotels compared with this.
Note: Ratings are subjective and based on the reviewer’s experience and honest review at the time of the visit.

Good Taste @Yellow Pot
Very good dining experience at the Yellow Pot - the Chinese restaurant of Duxton Reserve Singapore, an Autograph Collection Hotel. The restaurant with traditional Nanyang Chinese style. There are beautiful image on the plates and I am really like the plates here.
Chinese cuisines here have a very good taste. especially, I like the
black truffle stewed rice and vegetable soup. Simultaneously, all the cuisines have a prefect decoration and looks very delicacy. However, according to the new policy of Marriott Bonvoy, it is a pity that Members would not have a good discount here….Just earn points when you having dinner here.

Cosy bar within Duxton Reserve
Anouska's bar is located within the Duxton Reserve boutique hotel. It has a very masculine vibe to me and I love the atmosphere there.
The food and drinks here are very Asian inspired. I tried the Raspberry and Pistachio Margarita and also the Chen Pi Collins. They are all sweet and easy to go down.
I tried a sip of my friend's Oriental Elixir and I really loved the aftertaste. Its a mix of bourbon, pandan, otto vermouth and campari. At the initial sip, the bourbon hits you hard and will leave you with a nice pandan fragrance in your mouth after a few seconds.
Tried the signature roasted bbq duck with plum sauce and love how juicy and smooth the meat was. Its better than a lot of the Chinese restaurants that I have visited!
It's a small bar and I suggest making a reservation on a weekend night. Recommended!

Break time! This time round we decided to explore and go to Duxton for our intimate staycay.
Highlights:
- Conveniently located near eateries and cafes
- Shophouse setting
- Romantic room vibe that is a bit dimmed
- Awesome breakfast! I'm amazed by the eggs and fresh juice
- Mariott Bonvoy member get upgrade
- Spacious living room with sofa bed that we can enjoy while watching tv
- Basic amenities available
- Purifier and aircon in room (perfect for my allergy to dust)
Tips:
- Go for the special ommelette, there is nothing special about their egg benedict
- Although no bathtub, the room is quite big and enjoyable; spend intimate time with your loved one on the sofa or bed 😛✌
- Due to the limited rooms available, price may be expensive but it is worth to try if you would like to have personal (couple) space
Rate: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
We would love to come back again especially for the breakfast. 😋

Staycay @ Duxton Reserve
Me and my partner stayed at this boutique hotel for 3 nights to rack up elite nights.
I was rewarded with a free room upgrade on checkin because of my Bonvoy Elite status (Titanium). Hence value for money, considering the delectable breakfast served.
The room was beautiful. We got a slightly smaller duplex, but it felt spacious with the high ceiling and windows. The color theme was black with whites and yellows. Lighting was romantic. One large TV on the lower level and another on the upper level. Standup shower which was fine with us. Lots of power and USB outlets. The spiral staircase was a draw. I would have my video calls with it as a backdrop, and many would ask if it was real, upon which I would grab onto the steps to show them that they were! It was just so cool!
All staff members were delightful. Robee and Patricia made us feel exceptionally welcomed. Robee always has a spring in her step and was very easy to talk with (through face mask, of course). Patricia was always trilled to see us, and would call out my name.
I'll definitely be back!
Note!
No complimentary parking you pay your own URA parking charges. No facilities like pool or gym. No daily papers to read.

Escape to another world @ Duxton Reserve

Ambiance/Facilities - Duxton Reserve Singapore, Autograph Collection is a 5 star designer boutique hotel. It has an oriental charm with beautiful furniture and deco that is stylish and luxurious. There are variety of room types to suit your mood from basic room to duplexes and suites which are all impeccably designed and decorated.
Highlights -
1) Location wise it is well situated in CBD area with Tanjong Pagar mrt nearby making it very accessible. Yet the hotel is on a quiet street away from main road and busy traffic. Food options are aplenty along Duxton Road itself, from cafes, bars to Italian, Japanese and Korean restaurants all within walking distance. For local food, one can easily head over to the Tanjong Pagar Hawker Centre to satisfy local food cravings. Chinatown is also a stone's throw away, offering more options for food and local sightseeing.
2) The quality of F&B within the hotel itself is amazing. Breakfast served from 7.30am to 10.30am at the Yellow Pot restaurant is simply delish and generous in portion. Guests will be served basket of freshly baked croissant and pastries with a fruit platter to start. There are many choices for mains and must tries will be the Lobster and Crab Omelette and Egg Royale. Evening cocktails at Anouska Bar features many special in-house drinks using oriental ingredients such as red dates, chilli and chrysanthemum flower. Recommend to go for the Escape to Kai Feng, a martini infused with chrysanthemum syrup.
3) The ambiance and deco will transport guests to a different world from the moment one enters the lobby. Interior design is black and gold themed with Oriental touches everywhere done with absolute style and class. Hotel is in a preserved shophouse building adding to the elegance due to the historical architecture.

Duxton Reserve Singapore Autograph Collection
My first Autograph Reserve experience! Overwhelming shades of yellow and too dark a room even for a Skylight Suite - signs of ageing indeed. Cocktails were great though, and excellent breakfast with warm service. Had an issue with overcharging after the stay which took a while to resolve which marred the overall stay unfortunately. Great spot to try at least once especially as an elite member. 😶

Duxton Reserve
Duxton Reserve Singapore is a boutique hotel with 49 rooms housed in a restored nineteenth century shophouse. It is situated few minutes walk away from Tanjong Pagar MRT station and situated at the heart of Duxton Road. Duxton Reserve Singapore was designed by acclaimed British designer Anouska Hampel with a facade that emphasises its elegance back in the days with a grand black and gold theme. This hotel has one in-house Chinese restaurant and a bar.
There are also plenty of restaurant and cafe around the area as a dining options. Convenient store, supermarket and a hawker centre is also right around the corner. I would recommend it to those who appreciate art and glamour.

hidden at a nice spot in Duxton. exterior look pretty old shophouse style, interior look gorgeous, great customer service, smooth checking in, lift broke down which was unfortunate, at least the room was located on 2nd floor. room wise was spacious and simple, black door and white wall style. they had their own liquor and cocktail in-room, wow very nice!
