First stop in Tokyo, I arrived in Asakusa and wanted to grab a bite, but didn't want to wait in line. Suddenly, I spotted an Ichiran Ramen across from Asakusa Tobu Station. It was located in the basement of a street-side building, and luckily, there was no line. I quickly ordered a basic tonkotsu ramen using the machine. After selecting the broth, noodle thickness, and saltiness, I handed the ticket to the staff and was seated. The interior was spacious, with both counter and table seating, giving off a typical Japanese ramen shop vibe. The ramen tasted similar to what you get in Taiwan, with a rich broth and chewy noodles. I finished it in no time. Ichiran's flavor is consistent no matter where you go, maintaining a high standard, though it lacks some uniqueness. 🙆‍♂️Maybe it's because I've watched too many anime, but the cherry blossom season is always the season I look forward to the most🥹 This year, due to the weather, the cherry blossoms will bloom later than usual, and are expected to bloom in large numbers in mid-to-late March. After visiting many times, besides the popular hot spots that have already bloomed, here are some places I recommend. All of them are accessible by subway, and are secret spots with cherry blossoms lining the streets. 🚃Transportation + Features + Photo Spots + Tips 📍Kawazu Cherry Blossoms⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌸Features: The same filming location as the Japanese drama "First Love," with cherry blossom trees stretching for nearly 5 km along the river, which is truly stunning. The petals are also very large, making it easier to take close-up shots compared to other places. 📷Photo Spots: It is recommended to walk counterclockwise along both sides of the riverbank to avoid the crowds and take photos freely. 🚇Transportation: Take the JR Izu Kyuko Line, which is a special cherry blossom train. The hotel offers a wide range of dining options and high-quality services, and the overall value for money is above average among luxury hotels in Tokyo. 🏠Room Type/Layout I stayed in a standard room, which is about 40 square meters and equipped with a large bed or two single beds. The room is modern in design and has a balcony with a view of the city. The room is equipped with a minibar, coffee machine, safe, coffee/tea pot, and LCD TV. Some guests reported a slight smell of new renovation in the room, but the overall environment is comfortable. 🛏Supplies/Facilities The hotel opened in 2024 and has a modern and vibrant style with the sophistication of the Aman brand. The lobby is located on the ground floor of the hotel, with direct access to the elevator from the entrance, which is very convenient.
