#myfoodies The Urban kitchen is located on lobby floor of Hilton Kota Kinabalu, Sabah which is one of the main restaurant available at this property. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is also served here. Breakfast buffet consists of a wide range of menu from Malay, Chinese, Korean and Indian as well as western menu. The main highlight for my breakfast experience is their variety of pastries. not only they were looking nice and presentable but also the taste were really great and high quality ingredients used. Start at 6.30 am till 10.30 am, it is one of the decent place to have international breakfast buffet in the heart of Kota Kinabalu while you are in this Borneo's capital.

For this stay in Hilton Kota Kinabalu, I was upgraded to the beautiful one bed room suite (Room no 949). The room was totally luxurious with full marble finishing. I had 2 toilets, one main bathroom and one little guest toilet. As 3 of us were sharing the room, Hilton kindly set up the sofa bed. Beautiful property, definitely will stay again.

The Suite Life

I had the privilege and pleasure of staying a few nights in the One Bedroom Executive Suite of Hilton Kota Kinabalu. The location of the hotel is excellent! It’s 5 minutes away drive from many of Kota Kinabalu’s places of interests. The hotel was rebranded and renovated in 2018 so everything is still quite new and modern! The room had a guest toilet, a big dining table and a spacious living room with a nice study table. The bedroom was HUGE! With a big comfortable king bed. The toilet was also renovated beautifully and had an amazing bathtub that could fit 3 if you wanted! I only paid RM304 for this place and it’s definitely a steal, come try it out yourself! #malaysia #tripmoment

a wonderful night at the Hilton Kota Kinabalu. the king bedroom is very spacious and with comfortable bed. there is swimming pool at the 11th floor with a restaurant bar and grill and the washroom is equipped with good facilities for shower and washroom. overall a good place to stay within the city centre during the Christmas season. #hilton

ROOFTOP POOL WITH AEROPLANE VIEW

Hilton Kota Kinabalu is one of a few 5 star hotel in Kota Kinabalu city centre. As the level of comfort and services are undeniably excellent, but this property has amazing hidden spot waiting for its guests. Located on the highest floor of the hotel building, the rooftop pool is definitely something you will never missed because it is just amazing how beautiful this rooftop pool is. Featuring a lush garden at one of the featured wall, coconut tree shades and blue tiles pool and pool chairs. On top of that it was amazing experiences as guests will be able to witness aeroplane passing by the sky just above the pool in quite a close distance. Perfect experience especially when you travelled with kids. Very much recommended to visit.

BREAKFAST EXPERIENCE @HILTON KOTA KINABALU

Having a good breakfast is really needed to start off your day. Here in Hilton Kota Kinabalu, rest assured that breakfast is one of the best breakfast you will ever had in the Borneo. Served as a la carte menu breakfast during pandemic, visitor still have the option to choose unlimited menu as per buffet style breakfast. The highlight is the location of the Bar and Grill restaurant which is located by the rooftop pool and overlooking the sea on the other side. It was a great ambience after all when visitors can start off their day with delicious breakfast coupled with amazing view as well. If you are planning to visit Sabah Borneo soon, look no further to have a breakfast at this 5 star hotel in Borneo.

It is really built and designed to impress the guests. It was so spacious with various seating areas including a smoking corner on the outside balcony. They were a variety of food and drinks offered during the evening cocktail hour which is from 5 pm to 8 pm. I enjoyed the hot food offered, especially the little salmon tarts and the crunch curry leaf tarts were super delicious and flavourful. Overall, I am looking forward to be back at Hilton KK Lounge if I get the chance. #kotakinabalu #passionpassort

From the moment I have seated, the kind and courteous staff members kept me on a never-ending free flow of Vodka + Orange juice - Screwdriver. I think I gulped down a total of 6 glasses over the one hour I was there. I didn't feel like Swimming as it was super chilly so I just read a book and was enjoying the view. In about 15mins the rain clouds cleared out and the golden sunset view came about. The Swimming pool in Hilton Kota Kinabalu is located on the rooftop, together with the lavish poolside bar, grill restaurant. #kotakinabalu #passionpassort

The Club @ Hilton Kota Kinabalu

Name of Place: Club Bar, Hilton Kota Kinabalu Location: Jln Tunku Abdul Rahman, Asia City, 88000 Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia Operating hours: 4 pm - 12 am daily As I was exploring the neighbourhood and area around Hilton Kota Kinabalu I noticed this little entrance at the back of the hotel. Being curious I went and push the door open and I walked into this beautiful bar. At about 6 pm when I was there it was rather quiet maybe due to the heavy downpour. I heard from the staff members that it will get really crowded after 9 pm as they have a famous live band playing there from 830pm. I was then offered a glass of their famous signature cocktail known as the Club Chai. It had a very unique taste to it with some hints of sour plum.

Urban kitchen is located on the first floor just ahead of the check in area. In Kota Kinabalu I noticed that the sun rises really early at 6.15am it was already as bright as how it would be at 730am in Singapore. I went for an early breakfast at 630am and was the first few diners there. The breakfast spread was huge, from local favourites like nasi lemak to western standards such as American breakfast were all available. I noticed that the focus here was on the bakery items, there were so many delicious types on display. I tried the LOLO bun which had a very interesting coconut flavoured taste to it. #kotakinabalu #passionpassort

I have heard from friends and fellow travellers that watching the sunset from Kota Kinabalu Marriott Hotel is the top 10 must-do thing in Kota Kinabalu. I left Hilton at about 545 pm via grab in fear of missing the Sunset, the traffic was slow and I reached Marriott at about 6.12 pm to my horror sunset in Kota Kinabalu is between 5.30 to 6.15 pm, unlike in Singapore. When I hurried my way up to the roof top, I could only see the beautiful pink hues. Hope you enjoy my pictures. One Bedroom Suite @ Hilton Kota Kinabalu

I arrived at about 3 pm and the room was well and ready for me. I was given the One King bedroom suite for this stay. Room no 703, located on the 7th floor, this room is huge! It comes with a separate dining room and a living room. I was truly impressed with the size of the room, I am sure it can easily fit a family of 5 or even 6. There were 2 large flat-screen TVs, one in the bedroom and one in the living area. The toilet was also simply gorgeous, I loved the modern design and the rain shower. The smell of freshly baked Portuguese egg tarts brought me to this little cafe at the corner of Hilton KK Lobby, once there I saw the staff just setting up the cafe displaying freshly baked items such as Croissants, muffins and doughnuts. I wasn't very hungry but didn't mind trying some light snacks before heading out so was wondering what to get. a staff member recommended I to try the baked cheesecake which Hilton KK was famous for. Say no more, I got one delivered to my room to enjoy later. Overall, a good place to hang out with your friends for a quick fix.#foodie #passionpassport

The interior of the Hilton KK Lobby is designed so beautifully to allow natural sunlight to enter and to showcase the available spaces of the seating areas for guests. One can also feel at home with the warm cove lighting used. The grand Lobby also connects one to the urban kitchen on the left side where the breakfast is served and on the right side to Drip. At the back of the Lobby, they have the Hilton club. Overall beautiful Lobby, with a warm welcoming vibe to it. Ample space to relax and wait while waiting to check-in.

A Satisfying Stay at Hilton Kota Kinabalu

When deciding where to stay in Kota Kinabalu, I was torn, but I chose to stay at the Hilton Kota Kinabalu for the first half of my trip. Thinking that I wouldn't spend much time at the hotel because I was there for sightseeing, I chose a location in the central area to travel efficiently. After booking, I wondered if I had made a slight mistake since it wasn't the absolute center of the city, but after seeing other hotels in the same price range during my stay, I was glad I chose the Hilton. What was particularly good was the breakfast! It's a buffet-style breakfast, but it's rare to find a hotel breakfast where the menu changes daily to such an extent, and I was very satisfied! You can try the local Sabahan fried chicken franchised store Borenos. The hotel room is clean and the bed is super comfy with powerful shower.
