A Festive Twist at Ichiban Boshi
#cnyfeast
This Chinese New Year, I decided to celebrate in a unique way with a festive feast at Ichiban Boshi. The restaurant's cozy ambiance made it the perfect spot for a memorable meal with friends and family.
We started with the classic CNY dish, yee sang. Tossing the colorful mix of fresh ingredients together while shouting out wishes for prosperity and happiness was such a fun and symbolic tradition. The tangy, sweet flavors complemented the festive mood perfectly.
For mains, I opted for a comforting bowl of udon paired with crispy tempura, a combination that never fails. The noodles were perfectly chewy, and the tempura was golden and crunchy. To top it off, we had fried salmon skin as a savory appetizer—it was so crispy and paired beautifully with the creamy dip on the side.
The entire experience at Ichiban Boshi was a delightful fusion of festive traditions and Japanese cuisine. It was a refreshing way to celebrate the season with good food and great company. Definitely worth a visit for something different this CNY!
