The garden also offers night-time operations and illuminations on weekends and from mid-December, which are very popular. Amazing view from our Cable car ride to visit Kobe Nunobiki Herb Garden.
We went up the through the cable car to see the evening view of the city and went back down to see the night view of Kobe.
If you get in after 5pm, you won’t be able to enter the herb garden but you will still be able to enjoy the amazing view of the city from atop. Up in the hill there will be some shop and restaurants.
Definitely worth to visit if you’re on a day trip to Kobe - Japan.

A Garden with Free foot spa
The garden is located on the top of the mountain that you have to ride on to the cable car. When you reach the top, you will see a few food stalls, a restaurant, a cafe, gift shops, a perfume museum, and some workshops. There is a path you can walk down, and you’ll see a lot of plants, flowers, and different types of herbs. They have a resting area full of swing beds, and it was so comfortable. The most exciting part is the free foot spa, which is actually an onsen. The heated spring water comes from this mountain, which is very famous in Kobe. That time I went there, it was in the winter, so it was perfect for me to try that onsen, you will have to pay 100 yen for the clean towel. While you are in the onsen, you can relax, enjoy the amazing view, and take a deep breath. The people recommend not soaking yourself for too long, about 10–15 minutes. I love this place so much that I went there twice, so I do recommend it to you guys and I hope you will enjoy. If you’ve been there before comment down below and tell us your experience too.

Beautiful scenery with Relaxation Foot Spa
This is one of Kobe’s famous attraction. If you’re a herb lovers or flower lovers or nature lovers, you must visit this place! This place you don’t need to hike uphill because you can use the cable car (charged fee around 1800 yen) 🚡 and they have a foot spa (足湯/onsen) that was free of charge the only thing that you will need is to bring your own towel, if you don’t have one then you will have to pay 100 yen for one small towel (No staff to collect the fee so please be self-disciplined) you have to just place your payment next to the towel basket 🧺 and then you may enjoy you spa with a beautiful view or watch the sunset, it was very satisfied and memorable. In the herb garden, they have a fragrance museum (open daily w/o tours) with few workshop (only opened occasionally). I do recommend you to come in spring, summer and autumn because there’s lots of flower blooming in the seasons

In love with this place in Kobe, in addition to Japan's top beef, you will find that it is quiet and foreign, so that you can heal and enjoy the elegant time of everyday life, which is one of the most suitable places for a holiday. The Veranda at Kobe, a blend of classical building and modern cafe, is such a place that you can't help. It is located in the Kobe Garden of Kobe, surrounded by flowers and herbs, and offers a beautiful view of Kobe. Whether sitting indoors or on the terrace is a wonderful experience of luxury and healing.

[Hyogo🇯🇵] Enjoy seasonal flowers and herbs
Nunobiki Herb Garden is located in Shin-Kobe.
It's a mountain resort reached by ropeway.
The garden is quite large, with 12 themed gardens.
Each garden is filled with beautiful flowers and fragrant herbs.
No matter where you frame it, you can take gorgeous, colorful photos! 📸
There are indoor facilities, and there are displays of lovely dining and kitchens, as well as miscellaneous goods and floral interiors, and I enjoyed myself while thinking about what it would be like to live in a house like this☺️
There are also restaurants, cafes, and gift shops in the garden, so please look for herb garden-like meals, tea, and souvenirs~

Exploring Kobe — Nunobiki Herb Garden
Traveling on a rainy day can be a hassle, but visiting the herb garden in the rain offers a unique experience.
It's known to be one of the largest herb gardens in Japan. When we took the cable car up to the garden, it felt like we had arrived at a hidden garden in Denmark! It had a very Nordic vibe 🌸
We originally planned to take the Kobe sightseeing bus and spend a day sightseeing with the family in good weather, but it rained all day ☔️ However, unexpected surprises are part of the journey. Who would have thought of taking a cable car up to the herb garden on a rainy day? Haha~
🕰️ Opening hours: Daytime 09:30 - 17:00, Nighttime 17:00 - 21:00 (Only the observation area is open at night)

From the observation deck, you can enjoy views of Kobe's cityscape and harbor. If you want to see the night view, you'll need to hike down as the cable car service ends at 17:15.

After exiting Shin-Kobe Station to the ground level, you take the ropeway.
Once you reach the summit by ropeway, you can overlook the entire city. There are shops at the top, so if you're hungry or want to drink alcohol, the summit is the place to be.
The rose garden was also beautiful.
It is recommended to leisurely descend from the summit to the midpoint of the ropeway. The path is well-maintained and clean, and you can enjoy the pleasant air of the fresh greenery. As you make your way down, stopping at various places where herbs are planted, you'll come across a flower field at the midpoint.
On the way back, I took the ropeway from the midpoint station down to the bottom. Even if there's a line, don't worry, you won't have to wait long to get on.
I think the season of fresh greenery before the rainy season is the best time to enjoy it ☺️

Forest Hall Fragrance Museum
Learn about the history of transforming fragrant plants that bloom in the fields into sophisticated perfumes. The museum exhibits old tools used for extracting scents and antique perfume bottles. There was also a personality assessment based on scents. It's a recommended spot where you can also find your favorite fragrance.

Kobe Nunobiki Herb Gardens
#thingstodo One of the best place to spend your day trip to Kobe. Requires an entrance fee if you're using the ropeway and it's the recommended way to go up as you can see the seaview and city view from above. Hiking takes more than one and a half hour from floor. There are two stops , one in the middle the other one from top. Both are walkable and within walking distances. Umbrellas are free to use when you had reached the mid of top platform. Plenty of gardens to look around as you expose yourself to the nature. Glass room available too which houses the flora from the tropical forest in the south eastern china seas countries. Recommended place for couples and families with child.

A beautiful garden situated on a hill above Kobe. Highly recommend taking the ropeway to the herb garden. Then walk down to Kobe, you will see the herb gardens, the observatories ie greenhouses and get multiple points with views across the Kobe and wider Osaka bay.
The ride was very scenic and garden has a variety of fragrances for you to smell. A good place for couples and for families.
I want to travel to Malaysia this year.

Herbal garden in Kobe
Take the Japanese-style cable car to the herb garden. Different kinds of flowers bloom from the top to the middle of the mountain. There are potted plants along the way to serve as signposts. The small layout shows the Japanese thoughts. When you feel tired after walking, you can take a dip and face the sea view. of foot bath.
