Butterfly Park in KL
#meetkualalumpur
Address: Jalan Cenderawasih, Tasik Perdana, 50480 Kuala Lumpur.
Getting there: It is around 13 minutes walk from the Kuala Lumpur KTM station.
Highlights: The Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park is located in the Perdana Botanical Garden. A beautiful experience for everyone who loves nature, butterflies and entomology in general. There are so many species of butterflies that you'll definitely get some great pictures. A professional camera is recommended, unless you have a good camera for macro pictures in your phone. But either way you'll get some great pictures, many of the species will stay still even if you get closer.
I highly recommend it for kids too, its very fun and educational. And on the way out they have a great museum of bugs and arachnids for everyone to learn and enjoy.
Opening hours: 9am to 4.30pm daily

Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park - KL, Malaysia
In one of the green areas of the Perdana Botanical Garden, founded at the end of the 19th century, there is a Butterfly Park. A real tropical forest with numerous streams and miniature waterfalls has been recreated on its territory. There are about 6,000 butterflies of more than 120 species.
Walking paths are laid through thickets of lush vegetation, cages with tropical birds are hung on tree branches, small terrariums are inhabited by reptiles, scorpions, tarantulas. After a walk, visitors can look into a shop selling themed souvenirs.

Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park is a veritable secret paradise where butterflies actually dance nonchalantly in clumps of fern amidst scented beautiful flowers and flowering vines.The butterfly park was opened in 1992,spans over 80,000 sq ft (7,400 m2) of landscaped garden with over 5,000 butterflies, exotic plants, butterfly-host plants and ferns and is one of the largest houses in the world.#couplestrip#gooutside#summervacation#nationalpark

A Wonderland at Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park
Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park is one of my most favorite places to visit in Kuala Lumpur. It’s located right next to Kuala Lumpur Botanical Gardens and right in the city center, nearby KL Central, although I don’t recommend walking there. The best way to get to the Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park is by taxi and the best way to order taxi is to download an e-hailing app Grab.
Tickets to KL (short for Kuala Lumpur) Butterfly Park prices vary depending on your age and nationality, and is priced as follows:
For an adult (standard) – RM63;
For a child (standard) – RM42;
For an adult (with MyKad) – RM25;
Senior Citizen (with MyKad) – RM6;
Child (with MyKad) - RM6.
Although butterflies are next to impossible to catch on camera because they fly way too quick, I took some great photos of the scenery inside the butterfly park and I really enjoyed the time I spent there because it’s truly a wonderful experience to be surrounded by such amazing gardens with dozens of butterflies just flying around you. Seems more like a dream than real life, but it is real. There are also multiple ponds and waterfall, one of them even has a lot of koi fish.
Butterfly park has also an inside section with different types of butterflies and bugs dried up in frames. It is very educational to see what kind of butterflies, bugs and spiders inhabit Malaysia.
I’m honestly scared of all of the insects and it only made me fear the outside a little more.
Enjoy your visit to Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park 😊

Explored the butterfly terrarium in Kuala Lumpur (KL) I was surprised how vast the space was plenty of seating and different levels to explore very easy to just relax in there and appreciate the ambiance. a lot of family’s were there and kids enjoyed exploring the park enjoy it too which was great to see. There were a wide verity of butterflies in the terrarium of different sizes and colours. Surprisingly to me upon leaving the main attraction they had a smaller section filled with bugs, reptiles and amphibians too. My favourite part was looking at all of the variety’s of butterflies in the cases especially the Argentinian ones which had a bioluminescence which was rather pretty to look at.
Would 100% recommend and only about £6pp so definitely an affordable option

Botanical garden Kuala Lumpur Botanical Garden
Jalan Cenderamulia, Tasik Perdana, 50480 Kuala
Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur
You can visit it along with the National Museum
It's about a five-minute walk from the National Museum
It wasn't very crowded when I went
Some people were having picnics on the grass
Some were taking graduation photos
And some couples were taking wedding photos
Mostly it was adults with children or people exercising by running
There were also some European and American tourists
Overall, it's a rather niche attraction
Suitable for taking children to play or for picnicking with friends

Anything travels
Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park
One of a rich variety of cultural facilities and gardens in central Kuala Lumpur, the Butterfly Garden is a large open area surrounded by hanging mesh to keep the insects contained. A matrix of surfaced paths weave through lush greens, fountains, and pools.
Gaggles of butterflies flicker through the air and vegetation while feeding on flowers and trays with tropical fruits and hibiscus petals sprayed with diluted honey to attract and feed the butterflies. These trays are along the paths and afford close examination and easy photos.
Pools in the gardens are home to fish, frogs, and turtles.
Inside the entrance building are exhibits highlighting the butterflies as well as other insects of Malaysia. The exhibits could use a refresh, but are still very interesting.
