Shaoqi Ancient Village
Shaoqi Village is one of the four villages in Linpu of Chengmen Town, Cangshan District, Fuzhou City. It was the port where the last emperor of the Song Dynasty landed during his escape, a necessary pass for ancient Linpu scholars to travel north for imperial examinations, and the ferry where Shaoqi ferry workers escorted revolutionaries across the river. It is adjacent to the Min River, faces Gushan to the north, and is a village with a thousand years of historical and cultural heritage. The main historical sites include Lianjiang Academy, Taishan Palace, stone archways, ancient residences, stone pagodas, and fortresses.
