Lumpini park
It is one of the only green spaces in Bangkok, definitely not one of the best parks in the world as it is somewhat small for a main park… but it is best place to jog or walk without traffic! You will see lots of people jogging, doing tai chi and yoga every morning and evening.
A nice place to take a break from the hectic of Bangkok City. There are a lot of trees in this park. The best time to visit this park should be in the morning where the air is fresh and cooler.

Lumphini Park! 🌳
Lumphini Park is located in the centre of Bangkok and it is very nice to find a well maintained public park is such a busy setting.
The park has many facilities inside including a large lake (boats available to ride on), toilets, shops and many gyms which are free to use. The main lake has a nice fountain feature and when I was walking around it was not that busy - quiet and peaceful #urbanexplorer #mytripvlog #thailand

Lumpini Park is a place for relaxation in the middle of the city for Bangkokians. Don't miss out on free water activities such as pedal boats, duck boats, and kayaks, which meet the lifestyles of people who like to exercise and enjoy challenges in outdoor activities. Each round is no longer than 40 minutes. Open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and life jackets must be worn at all times. #places to visit #parks worth visiting #Lumpini Park #bangkok

Lumpini Park, a central park-like existence in Bangkok.
If you come to Bangkok for shopping and eating, and still have time after strolling and eating, you can consider immersing yourself in the greenery of Lumpini Park for a moment of peace and coolness. This oasis in the city is like Bangkok's Central Park. Walking among it, the orchids on the trees by the lake are pleasing to the eye. If you like tropical animals, watch your step, as lizards may come out of the grass to greet you. I encountered two lizards of different sizes!

A more beautiful park than I have ever seen. There are jogging tracks in the very center of Bangkok inside the Park. Not I am also very much inside, monitor lizards and other reptiles turtles and many other animals. I really liked the fact that it is very clean. There is a huge lake. And you can ride catamarans. Inside there are several local shops where you can buy ice cream, water and more.

Huge Green Space in Middle of Bangkok 💚
There are two very famous huge public parks in Bangkok namely Chatuchak Park and Lumpini Park.
This 140 acre park I visited is the Lumpini Park. It's across Chulalongkorn Hospital and Silom District.
It has a statue of King Rama VI at the front of the main entrance to commemorate the building of the park.
Actually you can access the park from many directions. If you drive to the park, you'll need to go to the entrance near Wireless Road where there are plenty of parking spots.
Many people will come to jog or exercise in the early morning or late afternoon since it opens at 4.30 am. and closes around 10 pm.
Occasionally, there will be exhibitions or public events like small concerts happening in the park throughout the year.
You can get there by dropping off at BTS Saladaeng Station or MRT Silom Station.

Beautiful walk in Lumphini Park, Bangkok
One of most beautiful and biggest parks in Bangkok. Very easy to reach by Metro - station Si Lom. Probably you need few hours just to walk around. You can rent Bicycle for your convenience. For Bangkok this place is very good, always quite, no noisy. During weekend many young local people. During morning a lot of elder do exercises. Also so many places for nice photos. #urbanexplorer #thailand
Chunky
Lumphini Park is definitely not something to do in midday! But the ample tropical trees provided some much needed shade despite my bad timing. Contruction workers worked away on putting up tents for an upcoming market or event, as I wandered lazily by the winding river and lakes.

Bright Yellow pedal during Lumpini Park renovation in 2024
#2024mapped
Despite the ongoing renovations in Lumpini Park in 2024, there's still a sense of tranquility to be found. The lake shimmers in the afternoon sun, and a new fleet of bright yellow pedal boats, shaped like ducks and swans, bob gently on the water. These colorful additions add a touch of whimsy to the park, especially for children eager to explore the lake. While construction may be underway in some areas, the serene beauty of Lumpini Park remains, offering a welcome respite from the busy city. The sight of the new pedal boats on the lake promises a new way to experience the park's tranquility, a delightful addition for visitors of all ages.

Lumphini Park left me with a sense of calm amidst the bustling energy of Bangkok. It’s a refreshing green oasis where city life feels a world away. The serene lakes, winding paths, and open spaces make it perfect for a leisurely stroll or morning exercise.
I loved watching locals practice tai chi, joggers weaving through the paths, and families enjoying picnics under the shade of towering trees. The park’s resident monitor lizards add a touch of uniqueness, quietly coexisting with visitors.
Lumphini Park isn’t just a place—it’s a pause button for the city’s constant motion. A visit here feels like a breath of fresh air for the mind and soul.

Lumphini's Tranquil Poem
In the early morning, Bangkok's Lumphini Park feels like a poem imbued with the essence of morning dew. Sunlight pierces through the swaying shadows of trees, casting a serene and primitive peace on the winding paths. Walking amidst the dense greenery, the sounds of birds chirping and the gentle rustling of the breeze make one temporarily forget the city's hustle and bustle, as if stepping into a tranquil oasis.
The lake's surface is like a mirror, reflecting the scattered white clouds and the tropical plants along the shore. Occasionally, people can be seen rowing boats, with gentle ripples disturbing the water, yet the scene remains harmonious. Local residents exercising in the morning are either jogging or practicing Tai Chi, each embracing the freshness in their own way. The most delightful surprise for me was the leisurely monitor lizards on the lawns, adding an exotic touch to this urban oasis.
Lumphini Park is not just a natural haven, but also a sanctuary for relaxation. Every step here seems to reclaim a sense of inner tranquility and freedom.

The Most Beautiful Park in Bangkok
During my recent trip to Bangkok, Thailand, I visited Lumphini Park and was amazed by its vast area! The park features expansive green spaces and a lake where you can ride pedal boats.
The walking paths are well-maintained, and there are various exercise facilities, making it a great place to visit! It seemed like many locals also enjoyed the park.
Additionally, there were many people cycling, skateboarding, and jogging. On weekends, there are traditional Thai dance performances and yoga classes!

Bangkok’s own Jurassic Park
Walk around the lake in Lumpuni park in the Thai capital and you may witness a prehistoric creature lurking in its depths. Stay a little longer and that creature may start to make a break for the sides.
These are in fact monitor lizards and over 400 of them call the park home. Don’t worry despite them being up to 10 foot in length and resembling a crocodile they are perfectly harmless and often go about their business undeterred by the gaggle of tourist looking to get a photo opportunity #bangkoktrip

I saw a lizard at Lumphini Park!
Address: Lumphini, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330, Thailand
They say you might be lucky enough to see a lizard at Lumphini, and I was lucky to spot one as soon as I entered the park. It was about two-thirds the length of my arm, leisurely strolling across the grass.
At first, I was startled, but I was the only one making a fuss, haha.
It was smaller than I expected. I was thinking of a crocodile, haha. Anyway, it moved slowly, so it was fun to follow and watch it.
The park itself was also nice to walk around!
