The Marquis of Haihun exhibition at the Minhang Museum is truly breathtaking! The exhibits are rich and varied, each telling the story of the ancient nobility's splendor and luxury. The artifacts unearthed from the tomb of the Marquis of Haihun are not only exquisitely crafted but also reveal a profound historical and cultural heritage. Through this exhibition, I deeply felt the breadth and depth of Chinese culture, and I cherish even more the precious heritage of our nation. This visit was very rewarding, and I gained a deeper understanding and knowledge of history and culture.

Shanghai County has a history of seven hundred years, but Minhang is more than just Maqiao culture!
Maqiao culture dates back to 3900-3200 years ago, it is an early Bronze Age culture in the Yangtze River Delta region, and an important source of Wu Yue culture, corresponding to the Xia and Shang periods in the Central Plains.
Shanghai was formerly known as Huating Hai, also called Shangyang or Sea on the Sea. In 751, Huating County was established during the Tang Dynasty, and by the Northern Song Dynasty, Shanghai had its own bureau for managing liquor taxes. During the Southern Song Dynasty, Shanghai Town was established along with its maritime trade office.
In the twenty-ninth year of the Yuan Dynasty's Zhiyuan era (1292), Shanghai became a county under the jurisdiction of Songjiang Prefecture, serving as a base for grain transportation. By the 16th century, Shanghai County had become the largest cotton textile center in the country.
In 1554, Shanghai County built city walls for defense, and the county seat was thereafter known as 'Old City'. In 1928, the Shanghai Special Municipality was established, and Shanghai County became a suburban county, later becoming a production base for agricultural and sideline products and an industrial satellite city for Shanghai.
The prosperity of Shanghai during the Qing Dynasty relied on the enduring sand boat industry, with sand boats having a low bow and high stern on the water. After the maritime ban was lifted, Shanghai quickly became an important distribution center for goods from the north, south, and abroad, as well as a major national trading port. Shanghai, where people from all directions gathered and merchants flocked, thus expanded and prospered.
During the Ming and Qing dynasties, Shanghai mainly served as a transit port for Suzhou, exporting cotton cloth and cotton to all parts of the country, especially the north, and importing soybeans, soybean cakes, and soybean oil from the north.
In 1843, Shanghai opened its port, and with the eastward spread of Western influence, factories, banks, schools, and bookstores emerged one after another.
Qibao area spanned both Huating and Shanghai counties and was a natural water and land wharf. At the end of the Yuan and the beginning of the Ming dynasties, Qibao Town became famous for the convergence of five teachings. During the Jiajing and Wanli periods of the Ming Dynasty, Qibao Town thrived increasingly due to cotton trade and the strategic location on the grain transportation route.
Minhang Old Town is located in the ancient Ganghai region, free from the troubles of drought and flood, and is a strategic thoroughfare, hence the proverb 'Three generations repair to live, home is in front of Minhang'.
Wuhui Town is now in Wuhui Village, Maqiao Township, commonly known as Wuhui Street. Due to its proximity to the Huangpu River mouth and the convergence of various waters, it was called Wuhui. Later generations, inspired by the phrase 'pointing to Wuhui in the clouds', changed the name to Wuhui. There is a local saying, 'Wuhui existed before Maqiao'.
During the Song Dynasty, a liquor warehouse was established in Wuhui. After the Zhi Zheng era of the Yuan Dynasty, the Shanghai County Zoucheng Inspection Office was set up here, and it was as famous as the towns of Wunijing and Qinglong at that time. During the Hongzhi period of the Ming Dynasty, it was called Wuhui Town, which was destroyed during the Jiajing period due to Japanese pirates. In the Tongzhi era of the Qing Dynasty, it was called Wuhui Market, which had declined by then, except for the bustling temple fair at Jingtusi on the twenty-fourth day of the sixth lunar month.

Lesser-known museums also have great attractions, revisiting the historical style of Shanghai County!
In the 1850s, Shanghai replaced Guangzhou as the center of China's foreign trade, and the shipping industry thrived with the development of trade. Foreign firms and shipping companies established by foreigners competed to open ocean-going, coastal, and Yangtze River routes.
In 1897, the first modern Chinese merchant bank—China Merchants Bank—was established in Shanghai. Under the advocacy of Li Hongzhang, the first modern industry in China, the Jiangnan Manufacturing Bureau, was founded, which was also the earliest military enterprise in China to use machine production.
As the city with the fastest urbanization process in China, Shanghai's municipal development was almost in sync with that of developed Western countries. The Sincere Company, Wing On Department Store, Sun Sun Department Store, and Da Sun Department Store were collectively known as the 'Four Great Companies' of Shanghai.
In 1928, Shanghai officially implemented the separation of city and county governance. The earliest public education museum in Shanghai County was the County Minhang Public Education Museum, established in 1928. In 1929, Niu Yongjian founded the Yutang Public Education Museum.
The Guangci Orphanage was founded in 1917. The Shanghai Puci Sanatorium, established in 1935, was one of the largest and most well-equipped psychiatric hospitals in the Far East at the time.
In 1932, Shanghai's first car ferry, the 'Jinghang', was put into operation at the Minhang Ferry Terminal, marking the beginning of the official vehicle ferry service in the country.
Li Yingshi founded the Shanghai Minnan Zhe Long-Distance Bus Co., Ltd., raising funds to build the Shanghai Minnan Zhe Highway, which was the first commercial long-distance bus transportation line in the country.

Let's talk about the water system in Shanghai, and why is Shanghai abbreviated as 'Hù' and 'Shēn'?
Wusong River, before the Tang and Song dynasties, was the main channel for discharging floods from Tai Lake, and its downstream river channel that flows into the sea was called by the ancients 'Hù Dú'. The so-called Hù was a type of fishing gear widely spread in the waters of Songjiang, and Shanghai's abbreviation 'Hù' comes from this.
Huangpu is a tributary of the Wusong River. During the Warring States period, Lord Chunshen of the Chu state, Huang Xie, was enfeoffed here, and later generations associated Huangpu with his excavation, hence Shanghai's other name 'Shēn' is also derived from this.
In the seventh year of the Qiandao era of the Southern Song Dynasty (1171), Qiu Chun, the magistrate of Huating County, mentioned in the water conservancy records that there was a Huangpu Pond to the northeast of Huating County, marking the first appearance of the name Huangpu. The upper reaches of Huangpu were originally called Hengli Stream, mainly receiving water from Dianshan Lake.
The water system of Shanghai originates from the three rivers of Tai Lake, namely the Lou River, Songjiang, and Dongjiang. Songjiang, which is today's Wusong River, is also known as Songling and Lizhe.
At the beginning of the Ming dynasty, Songjiang changed its course to connect with the Huangpu River, and since then, the water system of Shanghai with the Huangpu River as the main and Wusong River as the auxiliary has remained stable to this day. Ren Renfa, a water conservancy expert of the Yuan dynasty, dredged the Wusong River twice. At the beginning of the Yongle era of the Ming dynasty, the court adopted the proposal of the scholar Ye Zonghang to implement the 'Jiang-Pu Confluence' project.

I discovered why this museum in Shanghai always manages to become popular
😍 The special exhibitions at the Shanghai Minhang Museum always stand out on major social platforms, successfully reaching a wide audience and attracting many people to visit. This half-year special exhibition comes from Nanchang, Jiangxi, featuring the Marquis of Haihun, a queen with a legendary fate.
🎨 "Encounter with the Marquis of Haihun - Exhibition of Fine Cultural Relics from the Tomb of Liu He of the Western Han Dynasty"
⏱️ From now until 2024.5.19
🔹 The Haihunhou (Marquis of Haihun) site located in Nanchang, Jiangxi, was excavated in 2011 and is the largest and best-preserved marquisate site of the Han Dynasty found in China to date. With the excavation of the site, a large amount of 'gold' was discovered, totaling 115 kilograms of gold artifacts unearthed. This is also the only tomb in the region south of the Yangtze River in China that has been found with real chariots and horses as part of the burial.
💥 The exhibition from Nanchang features more than 110 sets of cultural relics, mostly made of bronze and gold. The exhibition hall is not large, but it is reasonably divided into two main parts: one introduces the Haihun state and the Marquis of Haihun, and the other displays the related unearthed cultural relics. Accompanied by dim lighting, a comfortable viewing environment is created.
✨【Interesting Exhibits】
1⃣️ Goose and Fish Shaped Bronze Lamp: Admired for its exquisite and unique realistic shape, with a goose holding a fish in its beak; a diagram next to it also shows that it is composed of four parts: the goose head holding a fish, the lampshade, the lamp plate, and the lamp base.
2⃣️ Tortoise with Crane Bronze Incense Burner: Another set of bronze incense burners polished in the shape of animals, with a tortoise as the base and a crane with a curved body and spread wings standing on the tortoise, symbolizing 'longevity and fortune'.
3⃣️ Five-Branch Bronze Lamp: From a distance, it looks like a tree with five lamp plates supported on its branches. Its design is derived from the Fusang mythology, containing the meaning of 'ascending to immortality'.
4⃣️ In addition, there are various 'golds', such as: the unicorn-toe-shaped Jin, horseshoe gold, and gold cakes, as well as a large number of five baht coins. Truly worthy of being the 'wealthy' dynasty of the Western Han history.
🔹 This is my second visit to the exhibition. Compared to the crowd at the opening, it has calmed down a lot this time, and the experience is much better. However, the lacquered mirror case with the image of Confucius's disciples at the end of the exhibition hall seems to have been removed.
📝 To summarize why Minhang Museum's special exhibitions always become popular:
▪️ The exhibits are captivating and regionally differentiated;
▪️ Strong interaction with the audience, with attractive public account articles, interesting explanations, and unique stamp-collecting activities;
▪️ Each special exhibition launches beautifully designed cultural and creative products.
▶️ Past fine special exhibitions at Minhang Museum:
▪️ "Han Dynasty Eternity - Exhibition of Fine Cultural Relics from Mawangdui"
▪️ "The Roar from the North - Exhibition of Fine Cultural Relics of Bronze Ware from Ordos"
▪️ "That Year in Wanli - Special Exhibition of Cultural Relics from the Ming Dynasty's Thirteen Tombs"

Elegance of National Music, Chinese Ethnic Musical Instruments Exhibition!
The prototype of stringed instruments appeared during the Sui and Tang dynasties, and the huqin with horsehair bow was developed during the Song and Yuan dynasties. During the Republic of China period, the musician Liu Tianhua established the important position of the erhu in national music. In 1919, Zheng Jinwen founded the Datong Music Society, and the 32-person ensemble 'The Great Music of the East' participated in the exhibition at the Chicago World's Fair in the United States.
The modern form of the erhu was largely determined after improvements by musicians such as Zhou Shaomei and Liu Tianhua in the early Republic of China period, based on the Sui and Tang dynasties' zhayin and xiqin.
Since the 15th century, Muqam has been a highly characteristic musical genre of the Uyghur people. Mongolian plucked instruments include the Mongolian zither (yatoga), hovusi; stringed instruments include the morin khuur, sihu; wind instruments include the hujia, tongqin, kouxian; percussion instruments include the pengyou, flat drum, etc.
The plucked instrument zhamunie and the stringed instrument biwang (ox horn hu) are the main accompaniment instruments for Tibetan folk songs and dances, and court music. The wind instruments gangdong, tongqin, shinbone trumpet, and conch are the main accompaniment instruments for Tibetan religious music.
In this prosperous era, may the descendants of China listen to the strings and songs to understand the changing times, and appreciate the music of the qin to discern the shifts in humanistic thought.

Shanghai Exhibition | Minhang Museum The Roar of the North
| Minhang Museum The Roar of the North. The Minhang Museum's summer special exhibition 'The Roar of the North - Ordos Bronzeware Artifacts Exhibition' has always thought that Ordos only had cashmere, but this time I gained new insights. There are many shiny exhibits, most of which are related to animals, very distinctive! They even moved a Mongolian yurt here, the design inside the exhibition hall is very artistic and photogenic, and there's a scene set up in the outer hall where you can try on costumes for free.
The highlights of the exhibition include more than 300 artifacts such as the Golden Eagle Crown, Sheep-Head Bronze Knife, Golden Phoenix Crown, Standing Tiger-Shaped Gold Ornament, Tiger and Boar Fighting Pattern Gold Ornament, Iron-Core Gold-Plated Reclining Sheep Ornament, etc. Don't miss it!
【Event Tips】
1️⃣ Minhang Museum's cultural and creative handbook has always been a highlight, selecting key exhibits and content. The first 100 visitors each day can receive it for free (event until 6/30), and there are reserved spots for stamping, with the stamps located at the special exhibition exit, a total of 3
2️⃣ Any purchase at the cultural and creative store can also get a stamp, it's a golden stamp which looks very nice, it is recommended to pair it with the dark-colored postcard for a great effect (5 yuan/piece),
3️⃣ The free costume experience in the yurt in the lobby, creating a 'home door' Mongolian yurt, featuring low tables, colorful hangings, leather wine bags, and nomadic antique bows and arrows for photo opportunities.
【Exhibition Introduction】
The vast desert, the clashing of arrows and spears.
The sky is struck by eagles, the iron cavalry charges with vigor.
This exhibition recreates the grand and magnificent historical panorama of the northern nomadic tribes more than two thousand years ago, paying tribute to the long and brilliant course of the Chinese civilization, which is long-standing and diverse. Divided into two parts, 'Eternal Dome' and 'Yinshan Pastoralism', it uses Ordos bronzeware, goldware, and silverware as carriers to display the religious art and life of war of the Rong and Di tribes - the Xiongnu nomadic tribes in the Ordos area from the Shang and Zhou dynasties to the Western Han period, reflecting their natural worship, the concept of coexistence of all things, and the ethnic habits of living on horseback and migrating in search of water and grass.

You don't have to go to Changsha to see Mawangdui | Minhang Museum Han Dynasty Mawangdui Relics Exhibition
📍Detailed address: 1538 Xinzhen Road
🕙Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 9:30-16:30 (entry stops at 16:00)
🧳Preparations before visiting:
You can make a real-name reservation for the visit through the WeChat public account 'Shanghai Minhang District Museum'
❤Recommended reason:
You can see the same Mawangdui exhibits as in the Hunan Museum without leaving Shanghai, how can you miss such an opportunity?
🌟Highlights:
There are many introductions to various Mawangdui exhibits online, so I won't go into details here!
The most noteworthy is the T-shaped silk painting on the inner coffin of Lady Xin Zhui. Although it is a replica, it is truly amazing to see it with your own eyes, as it dates back to the Han Dynasty more than 2000 years ago! The place where the silk painting is exhibited also has a looping video explanation interaction, which explains each pattern in the silk painting separately, very vivid and interesting, you must sit down and watch it completely!
In addition, the exhibits that left a deep impression include the double-layered nine-children lacquer box, the damask-patterned silk gloves, game pieces, and so on.
After visiting the entire exhibition, you can't help but exclaim, no wonder Mawangdui is known as the benchmark of early Han Dynasty civilization. The rich people at that time were not like those portrayed in TV dramas, fighting each other, they were actually very focused on the construction of spiritual civilization!
📝Note tips:
You can stamp by yourself, and the stamping method is also very special. Remember to bring your own notebook, the size is best to be the size of a regular postcard, or it is also a good choice to buy a set of postcards on the spot at the cultural and creative store at the exit.
After seeing Mawangdui, don't miss the other permanent exhibitions at Minbo! The 700-year exhibition of Shanghai County is also very special. I have to say, Minbo is really a treasure museum!
Finally, the magnolias outside the venue are blooming beautifully This spring, may all your wishes come true, be joyful, and live in peace!

Traveling through 5,000 years, the essence of millennia is housed within a small museum
I visited the Marquis of Haihun exhibition in Nanchang a long time ago.
The splendor was dazzling, a room filled with cast gold.
It left a deep impression.
Now I'm here to see this small exhibition.
Just in time for the 11 o'clock tour.
🌟 Highlights:
The explanation was really good. A different experience.
Marquis of Haihun, Liu He, had a legendary life.
From king to emperor, and then demoted to a commoner after 27 days.
He moved from Changyi to Haihun County in Yuzhang.
The regulations of a marquis, the scale of a king, the melancholy of an emperor.
Because of the hardships, his lineage prospered for hundreds of years.
Due to the changes of Poyang Lake, his tomb suffered flooding,
Yet the burial remained preserved.
Life is wonderful, gains and losses are predestined.
A blessing in disguise, who knows what fortune it may bring. ☺

Marquis of Haihun Exhibition
The quality of the exhibitions at the Minhang Museum has always been top-notch. I visited the Marquis of Haihun exhibition on the second day of the Lunar New Year. The first 300 visitors before the Spring Festival holiday received a cultural and creative booklet and a postcard (which can be stamped with a set color stamp). There were quite a few people during the Spring Festival. The exhibition displayed cultural relics unearthed from the tomb of the Marquis of Haihun. The exhibits are very exquisite and highly watchable. You can also visit the Haipai Art Museum across the street.

Meeting at the time of sea dusk
The Nanchang Haihunhou National Site, which began to be excavated in 2011, is the largest and best-preserved Han Dynasty marquis site discovered in China so far. The bronze, gold products and many exquisite artifacts unearthed from its tombs are amazing.
This exhibition displays a total of 110 (sets) of fine cultural relics, including bronze, gold, jade, bamboo slips, wooden slips and other different materials.
A total of 385 gold cakes were unearthed from Liu He's tomb, and more than 20 pieces were exhibited this time. Each one weighs up to 250 grams. At the same time, its purity is very high, reaching 99% after testing, which is a physical witness of the gold smelting technology of the Han Dynasty.
The "environmentally friendly" products 2000 years ago - bronze cylinder lamps and goose fish-shaped copper lamps. When the candle burns, it will produce a lot of white smoke. The wise ancients have great wisdom and can let the white smoke digest itself in the lamp. The principle of the cylinder lamp is that after the animal oil lamp is placed on the lamp tray, its smoke floats up, and then according to the flow of the pipeline, the smoke is conducted to the abdomen of the lamp. There is water in the abdomen pot, which can purify the smoke.
"Confucius's Disciple Picture Lacquer Clothing Mirror" was unearthed in the west room of Liu He's tomb's main coffin. The mirror box is painted with portraits of Confucius and his five disciples. The biographies of the characters' lives and deeds are recorded in ink on both sides of the image. It is the earliest known image of Confucius. It reflects that Haihunhou Liu He was deeply influenced by Confucian thought, and it is also a proof of the unified thought of "dismissal of a hundred families, only respect for Confucianism" in the Han Dynasty.
There is a line called 'Yan Hui said'. He said a sentence, called 'use it then go, abandon it then hide', this is actually a kind of Confucian thought, meaning that when you use it, you should perform well, and when you don't use it, you should hide from the world. It is speculated that Liu He later derived a motto from this Confucian thought, so after his four different life experiences, he came to a realization. Of course, there are also some self-preservation tendencies.
Looking at two thousand years, the Han style is still there today. Through the shining good gold and jade, the solemn bronze ritual vessels, the broad Confucian classics and other cultural relics, appreciate the wisdom and spirit of the ancestors, appreciate the demeanor and style of the Han Dynasty, and feel the long and splendid Chinese civilization.

Chariots of the Han Dynasty
Chariots were the main means of transportation in ancient China, used for traveling, hunting, and warfare. Emperors of all dynasties made regulations on the rank system of chariots, and no one was allowed to overstep. There were various types of chariots in the Han Dynasty, and people of different statuses often rode different chariots, reflecting the hierarchical concept of feudal society where there was order and distinction between the superior and the inferior.
According to historical records, the highest-ranking chariot in the Han Dynasty was the 'Golden Root Chariot' ridden by the emperor, while ordinary officials used chariots like the light chariot and the heavy chariot.

The long-awaited 'Encounter with the Marquis of Haihun - Exhibition of Fine Artifacts from the Western Han Dynasty Tomb of Liu He' has finally arrived at the Minhang Museum in Shanghai to meet us. The numerous exquisite artifacts unearthed from the tomb of the Marquis of Haihun, Liu He, not only have high historical and artistic value, but also carry the rich connotations of Western Han culture. Through the exhibition, it is as if we have traveled back to the Han Dynasty more than two thousand years ago, and personally felt the style and atmosphere of that era.

Exhibition highlights:
1. Cake gold, horseshoe gold, linzhi gold: The tomb of Liu He in the Western Han Dynasty is the one with the most gold found in Chinese Han tombs so far. Various types of gold and coins showcase the glory and prosperity of the Western Han period.
2. Goose-fish shaped copper lamp: It consists of a goose head, goose body, lamp tray, and lampshade. When the lamp is lit, the smoke is led into the goose belly through the fish belly and goose neck, which can prevent soot from entering the air. The design is ingenious and reasonable, with an advanced environmental protection concept, and a perfect combination of practicality and art.
3. Bronze Boshan stove: An ancient incense burner, named after the legendary sea mountain - Boshan. When the incense in the stove is burned, the smoke disperses as if there is a fairy aura, giving people a sense of being in a fairyland.
4. Deer town: 'Deer' is homophonic with 'Lu', the deer-shaped mat town unearthed from the tomb of the Marquis of Haihun, Liu He, is lifelike and exquisitely shaped, admiring the unique craftsmanship of the ancients.
5. Mythical beast-shaped bronze gu: A pillar on the wooden frame for hanging bells and chimes in ancient times, often decorated with fierce beast images. The shape of this bell gu is speculated to be a combination of a horse and a camel. The camel shape appears in the portrait stones of Han tombs, symbolizing the guidance of the master to ascend to heaven.

The unicorn's foot is red, the grand atmosphere of the Han Dynasty.

🌟【Personal Feelings】
Whether it's the spatial layout or the lighting arrangement, this exhibition is very thoughtful. It's very suitable whether you're quietly observing the exhibition or taking pictures of the exhibits.
🏺️【My Favorite Exhibits】
1⃣️Ming Gold Winged Crown:
As the only emperor's gold crown excavated in Chinese archaeology, it can be called a heavyweight national treasure. Both its exquisite level and craftsmanship reflect the wisdom of the ancients.
2⃣️Twelve Dragons and Nine Phoenix Crown:
The Empress Jingxiao's phoenix crown is indescribably gorgeous. Every detail is pleasing to the eye. The Emperor Wanli personally made it for the empress, and its historical value is inexpressible.
In fact, the historical value and exquisite level of other exhibits are also very high, but I was directly attracted by these two at the scene!
Although some of the exhibits are replicas, it does not affect the exhibition experience at all, and even makes the exhibition more comprehensive and integrated.
📌: The beautiful online guidebook was already distributed on October 6th, and there will be none left afterwards, which is a bit of a pity!

The Wanli Year Exhibition at the Minhang Museum in Magic City/Chinese treasures, unparalleled charm!! It's definitely worth a visit
The Wanli Year Exhibition at the Minhang Museum is worth a visit!!
The highlight of the stunning exhibition is the gold wire winged crown and the 12 dragon and phoenix crowns and dragon robes. Although they are all 1:1 replicas, they are still very gorgeous! The visual impact is huge, and you can't help but exclaim 'wow~' the moment you see it...
The exhibition seems to last until the end of November. The overall exhibition is small, but the exhibits are quite rich, including some porcelain and accessories (real ones). If you are interested, you can go for it.
I went there on a weekday afternoon, and there were quite a lot of people. Many uncles and aunts came to visit in groups. There are probably more people on weekends. The exhibition hall closes at 16:30 in the afternoon, and you can't enter after 16:00. No need to make an appointment for the visit.
Transportation: Take the subway to Qibao Subway Station, and it takes about 15 minutes to walk to the museum. Just stroll over leisurely. The entrance to the museum is straight ahead from the intersection to the exit of the parking station. Pay attention to the signs

🌟【Personal Feelings】
After experiencing the special exhibition of 'That Year of Ten Thousand Miles', the Minhang Museum seems to have grasped the traffic password. The young people of today really like our own traditional Chinese culture!
If you go on the weekend, it's really crowded!
【About the Exhibition】
🏺The tomb of Haihunhou is the one with the most gold found in Han tomb archaeology so far, full of 'gold'
🏺This special exhibition mainly shows the ups and downs of Haihunhou's 34-year life and the burial artifacts
🏺️This time, except for the 'Confucius's Disciples Picture Lacquer Clothing Mirror' is a replica, the rest are genuine, it's really impressive
🌟The cultural and creative part has always been very distinctive, the black gold main tone has a kind of low-key luxury, the design is always online
🌟The guide book is limited to 100 copies on weekdays and 300 copies on weekends (starting at 9:30, until all are given out)
📌Most of the works have guides, but the mobile phone is a text version, it is recommended to rent an audio guide~
There were too many people this time, I plan to go again on a weekday when there are fewer people

Minhang Museum | Main Exhibition Hall of 700 Years of Shanghai County
| Main Exhibition Hall of 700 Years of Shanghai County. When it comes to the main exhibition hall of Minhang Museum, it should be '700 Years of Shanghai County'.
The so-called 700 years refers to the period from 1292 when Shanghai was established as a county under the jurisdiction of Huating County during the Yuan Dynasty, to 1992 when Shanghai abolished the county and changed it to a district.
Museums in various places generally take the most glorious history of this area as the main line. Frankly speaking, it's a bit far-fetched for Minhang District to take Shanghai County as the main body , after all, according to the introduction, Minhang became the seat of Shanghai County government during the Republic of China era~ And the city center at that time was already the special city of Shanghai at that time . Well, it doesn't matter, after all, they are all one family.
The cultural relics in the museum are mainly concentrated in the ceramics and jade articles of the Ming, Qing and Republic of China. After all, it was the richest place in the world at that time, a transportation hub from north to south, even those folk kiln works have a sense of art.
What impressed me more is the display in the museum, such as the overall restoration of the sand boat. I had previously studied the representative of the southern ship - the 'Fuship' in Xiamen, and I didn't expect to see the representative of the northern ship - the 'Sandship' immediately. It can be considered as a supplement to this knowledge. The sand boat is flat-bottomed, square-headed and square-tailed because it needs to sail in the relatively shallow rivers in the north, which is indeed different from the Fuship.
Another impressive thing is the introduction of Huang Daopo. She absorbed the weaving technology of the Li nationality in Hainan, improved the weaving tools in Jiangsu and Zhejiang, and made a great contribution to Jiangsu and Zhejiang becoming the base of the textile industry in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. In the past, people paid attention to the political figures of the dynastic changes, but in fact, such folk craftsmen are the real promoters and inheritors of traditional culture.
I don't know where the mothers who walk their children on weekends can take their babies to see the museum.

Minhang Museum - Encounter Encounter Haihunhou
The special exhibitions of Minhang Museum are one after another, and each one is absolutely wonderful.
The exhibition this time is Encounter Haihunhou. Liu He, the Marquis of Haihun, was an emperor for 27 days, a king, an emperor, a commoner, and a marquis. His experience is also ups and downs.
The exhibition also exhibits many fine products. The earliest portrait of Confucius in China at the end is actually his mirror.
In addition, the Haihunhou exhibition will distribute a limited number of visitor brochures every day, where you can stamp golden seals, 100 copies on weekdays, and 300 copies on weekends. The door opens at 9:30 in the morning, go early to queue up, basically it is finished as soon as the museum opens.

Shanghai surprisingly offers a free experience of the lavishness of a thousand years ago - Meeting Haihunhou
The tomb of Liu He of the Western Han Dynasty is the one with the most gold found in Chinese Han tombs to date. Although Haihunhou's tumultuous 34 years of ups and downs, being an emperor, a marquis, a commoner, and the legendary experiences between him, Huo Guang, and Liu Xun have become a mystery, perhaps it is because of all this that he continued to enjoy lavishness after his death, allowing us to feast our eyes today, a thousand years later.
I've always wanted to see this exhibition, but never set a time to go. Suddenly, one Saturday after Jiaojiao finished dancing, I pulled her and said, let's go to the museum~ We both like the spontaneous museum trips.
Actually, quite a while ago, Jiaojiao and I watched a documentary about Haihunhou together, but it seems that we have forgotten a lot. With this exhibition, we have a more vivid understanding of the legend of this Han Dynasty royal family, and we watched it again when we got back.
The exhibition is divided into two parts, 'Yuzhang Haihun' and 'Wanghou Wei Yi'. Here we saw the daily life, spiritual pursuits of the Han Dynasty nobles, and what impressed Jiaojiao the most was that his tomb had a study. How could he do so many absurd things in such a short time? Too many truths are lost in the long river of history, so let's just appreciate these works of art created by skilled craftsmen a thousand years ago.
A total of 110 exquisite cultural relics are on display, all very beautiful. Only the Confucian disciple's lacquer mirror is a replica, the original is still in the stage of cultural relic protection and restoration.
The goose fish-shaped bronze lamp, the bronze Boshan stove made us linger for a long time. We even bought these two cultural and creative products, and the Boshan stove has become a very frequently used cultural and creative product at home, we love it so much.
There is also a wine-making pot display area that Jiaojiao likes, with a holographic image on the side explaining how to use the sky pot and the earth pot, which is very interesting. The wisdom of the ancients is admirable.
Of course, the most eye-catching part of the exhibition is all kinds of gold, wrapped gold, unicorn gold, gold cakes... The lavishness is so eye-catching! Haha, Jiaojiao also bought a gold cake model in the cultural and creative shop and couldn't put it down.
There are many very beautiful seals in the cultural and creative hall, which can be used after consumption. There are four free seals outside, you can bring your own notebook or buy it on the spot. There are also many, many exquisite peripherals, it's really hard to leave empty-handed.
The popular guidebook: 100 copies on weekdays, 300 copies on holidays, first come first served, we didn't get it.
