[2024 Yangzhou Stay] Travel Guide for Refactoring Bingouguan Humanities Holiday Hotel (Yangzhou Dongguan Street) (Updated Nov)
In Yangzhou, a healing old house homestay worth staying in.
[Homestay] Reconstructing Bingouguan Cultural Resort Homestay (Yangzhou Dongguan Street)
[Address] No. 12, Diguan, Guangling District, Yangzhou
*This time I stayed in a homestay transformed from an ancient building in Yangzhou, which is very suitable for the slow life in Yangzhou. In the morning, I slowly enjoy a hearty morning tea, then go out for a walk at 10 o'clock, come back and have a coffee afternoon tea, take a break and go out for a walk.
*The point is that the transportation here is convenient, and the street opposite is Pishi Street, so you don't have to worry about eating and drinking. Although it is in the Dongguan Street Historical District, it is quiet in the middle of the hustle and bustle, and is not affected by the tourist army at all.
*Homestay introduction: "Bingouguan" was originally a huge house purchased by Zhang Bingyan, the governor of Lianzhou, Guangdong in the Qing Dynasty, in Yangzhou. The word "Bingou" implies elegance. Although it has changed hands several times in the later period, the elegant meaning has always remained. to now. The architectural features of the Huizhou style are integrated into this city of Yangzhou, which is not abrupt at all, simple and simple, yet exquisite.
*Homestay highlights: Convenient transportation, located in Dongquanmen, the outer area of Dongguan Street Historical District, there is a bus stop at the door, and Pishi Street is opposite, which is the center of the entire Yangzhou trip.
*Eating, drinking and taking pictures are solved in one stop. The homestay has a cafe, tea room, and restaurant. In addition to the beautiful environment, it is not an exaggeration to say that the taste is also very professional! Blue bricks and black tiles, deep courtyards, and very photogenic photos.
*Accommodation experience The homestay is a courtyard-style layout, with a total of 9 courtyards and 26 rooms. We live in a Loft parent-child room, with a large bed on each of the upper and lower floors, which can accommodate 3 people. What I like very much is the height of the house, which is very comfortable to live in. The interior is in a minimalist style, with wood-grain floors, monochrome walls, solid wood columns and furniture.
*In the room: air conditioner, refrigerator (drinks inside can be enjoyed for free), kettle, tea set, VOSS drinking water, electric mosquito repellent, Australian Appelles bath set, smart toilet. In addition, you can ask the front desk for earplugs and steam eye masks.
*Morning tea, Yangzhou has the habit of eating morning tea, which can be solved in the homestay. The window view of the garden restaurant is super beautiful, and it is a kind of enjoyment when eating morning tea. Breakfast is a fixed set meal.

Yangzhou 2-Day Autumn Trip Guide|The city is full of autumn vibes.
Yangzhou is full of autumn vibes, but the leaves have not completely turned yellow yet. I guess the city will be full of autumn colors in one or two weeks! Let me share my 2-day itinerary and experience the slow life in Yangzhou.
High-speed train 🚄
Shanghai: 1.5 hours
Nanjing: 0.5 hours
🚩Day 1
Reconstruction·Bingou Museum - Pishi Street - He Garden - Dongguan Street
Arrive at the homestay in the afternoon: Bingou Museum, which is located between Pishi Street and Dongguan Street, very convenient. From the homestay, you can walk along Pishi Street to He Garden. You can also rent an electric scooter to shuttle through the old streets and alleys to experience the slow life in Yangzhou.
🚩Day 2
Songjia City Park - Slender West Lake - Daming Temple - Guanyin Mountain
A very convenient self-driving route, where you can feel the charm of Yangzhou in early autumn at each attraction.
🎉 Beyond expectations
✨Bingou Museum
I felt I made the right choice as soon as I entered the door! I thought it was just a courtyard homestay, but it is not only a homestay, but also a combination of cultural and creative, coffee shop, tea house, and restaurant. It is also a rare "Dazhaimen" building complex in Yangzhou, and every corner is very photogenic! The price is affordable, and the location is very convenient: 3-5 minutes walk to [Pishi Street/Dongguan Street], 10-15 minutes drive to Slender West Lake.
✨Songjia City Park I didn't plan to go to Songjia City, but I was attracted by the two rows of golden ginkgo trees at the entrance when I drove by! This is a park that locals in Yangzhou often visit, and the yellow leaves cover the paths in autumn, which is very impressive. The park is spacious and quiet, perfect for walking or jogging.
✨Slender West Lake Slender West Lake is really beyond my expectations! Every area is beautiful, and the ticket is worth it. The lake area is large, and you can choose to walk slowly, or you can take a sightseeing bus directly to the center of the lake if you want to save energy. The current ticket price is 60/person, a good place for taking photos and relaxing.

In Yangzhou, follow this to eat! That's right~.
It turns out that there is such a chic restaurant hidden in the small alley on Dongguan Street~
Stepping into the courtyard, there is a different world. Sitting indoors, watching the scenery in the courtyard, pavilions, rockeries, and running water, there is a different flavor.
Blindly order a few dishes, each one is good~
Smoked fish
Sweet and crispy, the little guy ate half of it by himself~
See the welcome level
Hot and sour jade melon
Slightly spicy and salty vegetables, greasy and refreshing.
Old tofu pickles clam soup
Fish balls, tofu with delicious clams, absolutely!!
Home-cooked pomfret rice cake
The salty and fresh fish with the glutinous rice cake always makes people can't help but take a bite~
Bean paste amaranth
Eating more vegetables is always right, and you can also taste that the raw materials are quite fresh~
Rice grass bag
This! One person is not enough to eat, right? ! Rest assured and boldly order~
Just after eating, the little guy started to ask~ Can I come again tomorrow?

A hidden gem in Yangzhou.
Spent the weekend in Yangzhou with the family.
We were very satisfied with the homestay. The two-bedroom suite had a 200 sqm courtyard that the kids and the elderly loved. The courtyard was very photogenic 📸 and had a very vintage vibe.
The entrance to the homestay was easy to find (forgot to take a photo 📸). Many tourists mistook the homestay for a scenic spot 😂. Can't blame them, it really did look like a scenic spot. We spent half a day taking photos at the homestay 🤩.
The homestay manager and staff were very friendly. They asked if we needed a bed guard for the kids and helped us install it. They also politely recommended places suitable for the kids and the elderly to visit 🌿🌺.
Homestay name: Chonggou Bingouguan Cultural Holiday Homestay (Yangzhou Dongguan Street)
The homestay also served Yangzhou-style dim sum, which was a local specialty. Many non-guests also queued up early to eat 😋.

Drove 2 hours from Yancheng to stay in a private garden in Yangzhou to escape the summer heat!
24 hours in the private garden
📍Chonggou·Bing'ou Pavilion
🚌 Located in downtown Yangzhou, near Pishi Street and Dongguan Street, it's quite convenient to travel around.
The homestay was originally the former residence of Zhang Bingyan, a cultural guardian of Yangzhou, and it features Hui-style garden architecture throughout. Each room is situated in a separate courtyard, with an average of 2-3 rooms per courtyard. Although it's in the city center, the environment is quite peaceful and private, giving a sense of "great seclusion in the bustling city."
Each courtyard has a different layout, either by the water or listening to the wind from a building. My friend and I stayed on the second floor, and since no one was staying on the floor below that day, we had a spacious courtyard all to ourselves. The room also had a small refrigerator stocked with mineral water, beer, cola, and coconut juice, which I found quite considerate.
🔸Bing'ou Pavilion·Xi Banquet
Dining area, featuring local Huaiyang cuisine. Breakfast was quite rich, with dumplings, salted meat, five-stuffed buns, hot dry silk, pine nut shumai, etc. After the meal, we enjoyed some tea, perfectly eliminating the greasy feeling.
🔸Yuanyi Tea Room
After a nap, my friend and I went for afternoon tea. The setup was quite elegant, and the courtyard, tea, and new Chinese-style outfits made for great photos.
🔸There are also experiences with new Chinese-style clothing, cultural and creative shops, coffee shops, etc. Overall, it's quite fun. In the summer heat, when you don't want to go out, this place is enough to keep you entertained all day!
Under the night sky, Bing'ou Pavilion is lit up, with stars twinkling. Walking with friends, this moment of leisure is vividly realized! Yangzhou is wonderful, and I will definitely come back next time!

In Yangzhou|Captured the photo of my life
I have always longed for the 'slow' life in Yangzhou, and finally, this summer, I took my child and sisters on an impromptu trip🧳.
Walking into the Bing'ou Pavilion felt like traveling through time, stepping into a dreamy scroll of ancient Yangzhou. Every corner of the pavilion is filled with historical charm; every plant, brick, and tile exudes a rustic and enchanting atmosphere.
In the courtyard, the trees are lush, and the flowers are flourishing. The rooms inside the pavilion are arranged in a cozy and elegant manner. Every detail is meticulously crafted.
Here, I enjoyed tea and took photos with friends, experiencing the 'slow' life of Yangzhou. To my delight, I could capture my favorite photos without even leaving the guesthouse!
I am already looking forward to bringing my family here again to experience it once more!

I stayed in a hotel in Yangzhou for three days this time!!
This trip to Yangzhou was a surprise, and the hotel I stayed in magnified it infinitely.
I've always thought Yangzhou is beautiful, and I've been fascinated by the new Chinese style in recent years. Yangzhou has a lot of Chinese charm, so I often come here.
I had planned some itineraries for this trip, but the hotel I chose was so charming that I spent a long time taking pictures 😅
And the location is beyond reproach, right next to Dongguan Street. Parking is usually tough here, but this place actually has its own parking lot 🅿️
The hotel is a series of Huizhou-style ancient houses, living here feels like being immersed in culture and history. Walking inside, every scene is picturesque.
The rooms are distributed across various courtyards, each with its own unique setting.
The rooms are spacious, bright, clean, and the amenities are from luxury brands. Even the mineral water is Voss, which sets a standard that's much higher value for money than many five-star hotels~
The tea room in the hotel is also incredibly beautiful, I have another article introducing it from a super beautiful angle~ Feel free to take a look 👀
The breakfast is also exquisite, having Yangzhou morning tea in the garden, with great attention to detail and taste OK

Don't want to miss the poetic charm of Jiangnan? Why not stay in a grand mansion
To experience the poetic charm of Jiangnan, Yangzhou is actually a good choice.
The city is not big, but there are scenic spots everywhere, and many surprises.
For example, you can directly stay in a 'grand mansion'.
Walk through the long alley and enjoy the beautiful garden scenery in solitude, very quiet.
Taste tea and have morning tea, be the young master or lady of the courtyard for a day.
-
📍Reconstruction·Bing'ou Pavilion
Located on Dongquanmen Road, adjacent to Wang's Small Garden, a Huizhou-style building in Yangzhou City.
It retains the ancient simplicity of old cultural relic buildings, combined with the fashion atmosphere of the new era, feeling the beauty of Guangling region.
I really like the long alley leading to the rooms, different room types are distributed on both sides, each courtyard has a different design and style, with scenery everywhere.
This time, I traveled with my parents, so I chose the family LOFT room type, with two beds very suitable for family travel.
Although it is an old house renovation, the hygiene and soundproofing are done very well, and the toiletries are APPELLES, very tasteful~
-
In the evening, walk to the end of the long alley, and unexpectedly encounter a tea house, a hidden gem.
Taste tea and eat fruits, watch fish and admire lotus flowers, very leisurely.
You can also choose a set of Chinese-style clothes in the lobby and take a set of unique ancient-style photos.
The clothes are all from designer brands in Suzhou~
-
Woken up by the sunlight shining into the courtyard in the morning.
Slowly go to taste Yangzhou morning tea.
A very quiet place, with shadows of trees.
The taste is very authentic, and I also met local residents coming for morning tea.
You can also order a full meal, of course, you must taste Huaiyang cuisine in Yangzhou.
After breakfast, you can also have a cup of coffee.
The aroma of coffee beans permeates the old house through the floor-to-ceiling windows.

A free garden hidden in the alley, not very big and with few people, but still encapsulates the poetic and picturesque charm of the gardens in the south of the Yangtze River.
Grand Canal Museum
No ticket is required, but you need to make a reservation in advance.
"About Accommodation"
This time I came to Yangzhou to better experience the market life of this small town, so I deliberately stayed at the reconstructed Bingyuan Pavilion Cultural Resort Hotel on Dongguan Street~ In a century-old salt merchant's residence, through the understanding of the aesthetics of life, it has been upgraded and transformed, but you can feel a different kind of relaxation and tranquility. Sitting in the tea room in the garden landscape and chatting and tasting tea in the afternoon really feels like the right way to open a trip to Yangzhou!
