#Royal Plaza Hotel Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Recommended hotel in Mong Kok! Right below is the subway, the first stop for Hong Kong tourism~
No matter where I travel, the first thing I look for in a hotel is the environment, it must not be old, otherwise it will affect my mood for the rest of the trip... I sincerely recommend this Royal Hotel in Hong Kong 🏰 to everyone, for less than a thousand yuan, it gives me a little rich lady living experience~ The transportation is super convenient, with subway and bus below, and not far from the building is a shopping mall, plaza... 🏨
✨✨
There are many attractions nearby, and it's convenient to stay here, take your time to stroll and experience the authentic Hong Kong life~ There's Nathan Road, Ladies' Street, the vibrant Mong Kok footbridge... 👍
🉑 Quality rooms, truly all excellent! Spacious rooms
🉑 Independent bathtub, suitable for soaking and relaxing
Free use of the fitness center, year-round constant temperature outdoor swimming pool,
😜 The hotel also has specialty cuisine, which is said to be often reserved by locals to eat!
⛳️ Royal Court
⛳️ Lion Room Cuisine
⛳️ Royal Delights (R+) by Royal Hotels
🔆
Higher-end hotels now make their own brand mooncakes and souvenirs, and this place is no exception 😜 This time the experience was full of ceremonial sense, and there was food to take back to share with friends! Great value! 📍

Hong Kong is really suitable for travel, and you can enjoy it like this
Hong Kong is really great for long walks.
I went to the Peak again today. There was sunshine when I set off, but the weather changed as soon as I got off the bus. Still, it was very beautiful.
I feel like I haven't been here enough. Checked in at the new cable car photo spot.
🚗 The Peak transportation: Exit C1 at Admiralty Station, transfer to New Bus No. 15 to the Peak Square (terminal station)
🎫 Cable car: The round-trip fare for adults is 88 Hong Kong dollars, and the one-way fare is 62 Hong Kong dollars (half price for children and the elderly)
Recommendation: Take the bus up the mountain and the cable car down
In the evening, I went to Temple Street for clear soup beef brisket noodles, which were really super delicious. The radish was very sweet (not the pickled kind, but fresh radish, so sweet that I wanted to ask the restaurant for a raw one). The brisket was not fatty, the fatty parts melted in the mouth, and the lean parts were very tender. For the exact location, you can refer to:
📍Shop C, Wing Hing Building, 36-40 Temple Street, Yau Ma Tei, Hong Kong
🚗 Transportation: Yau Ma Tei MTR station Exit C
🎫 Price: 45 Hong Kong dollars/bowl
After finishing the noodles, I was planning to take the subway back, but seeing that the hotel was only 1.7 kilometers away, I decided to walk back, which felt very comfortable.
Tonight I'm staying at the Royal Plaza Hotel in Mongkok, which is right above a shopping mall and the Mongkok East MTR station, making shopping and transportation very convenient.
The hotel rooms are quite spacious, with standard rooms having two 1.5-meter beds, which is rare in Hong Kong.
One unique feature of this hotel is that the gym offers sportswear and sneakers for borrowing.
🚗 Transportation: Mongkok East MTR station
Additionally, the hotel restaurant's Cantonese dim sum is very tasty.

Christmas Attraction #7: Big Bear for Christmas
Royal Plaza hotel has a giant bear with Christmas ornaments during the Christmas festive. You can find it in the hotel lobby, which is very attractive due to its size and color. It’s a big cute toy that attracts visitors to capture the bear or take a photo next to/in front of it. This Christmas attraction is near MTR Mong Kok East, beside Moko Mall in Mong Kok. You can access the hotel through the mall.

Perfect Buffet at the ballroom
Too early for Christmas, but I got the opportunity to have Christmas buffet at the ballroom of Royal Plaza Hotel in Mong Kok. Here are some highlights you need to know:
✅ The buffet offered wide range of western foods, seafood, sushi and sashimi, and completed salad bar.
✅ Yummy dessert, especially if you are into sweet cake. chocolate cake is my favourite
✅Spacious ballroom, suitable for over around 300 people
✅Strategic location. The hotel is conjuncted with Moko Mall, next to Mong Kok East MTR station. Also, the hotel is walking distance from MTR Prince Edward station and MTR Mong Kok

📷🏨 The Royal Plaza Hotel (Mong Kok)
If I were to talk about a location that is not too expensive, has bathtubs, and is convenient, my first choice would be the Royal Plaza Hotel! I have been to this hotel several times and I really like to celebrate my friend's birthdays here, probably because the location is so convenient! It is located above MOKO in Mong Kok.
After checking in and going up to the room, I found out that they gave us the wrong room 😂. Originally, we booked a room with one bedroom and one living room, but they gave us a room with two beds instead. (I also took a picture of it for everyone's reference.) Actually, it's a very standard room, and it always feels like the same size as the Cosmo Hotel 😂😂😂. But I think it's quite cozy with the wooden theme they used. Since they gave us the wrong room, we asked to change it, but it took about four words before they finally did it 🤔.
After a while, a staff member knocked on our door and took us to our new room. Both the room with two beds and the room we originally booked with one bedroom and one living room were on the VIP floor, but I found that the VIP floor seemed to be closed 🥲. I don't know if it's because of the pandemic. Also, the corridor was quite long and had many rooms 😂.
After changing to the right room type, the toilet was much bigger! Although even the smallest room had a bathtub, the one-bedroom-one-living-room type is different 😍. I want to mention that the mirrors are quite slimming 🤣, no need to edit pictures at all, haha.
There is also a walk-in closet inside the room, which can be closed and the space is quite large! We tried playing Switch on the TV in the room 🙈😎.
Since it was my friend's birthday, the hotel also gave us a blueberry cheese cake. I remember telling them that we needed four sets of utensils, but they only gave us two sets of utensils and two plates 🥲, so we had to go downstairs to get two more sets of utensils.
I had the blueberry cheese cake a few years ago and it's still delicious! But I remember the cake a few years ago was twice as big 😂😂😂. Now it's like a cake, slightly larger, but we already had the cake, so it's okay!In addition, it seems like they are emphasizing the pandemic prevention measures nowadays. When entering the hotel room, there is a counter in front of the elevator where a staff member uses a tablet to mark down which room and how many people are going there. However, there was a staff member wearing glasses with a not-so-good attitude. Even though we were polite, she had a grumpy face 😓 Also, the elevator was weird. Only the executive floors require a keycard to access, while other floors do not. Therefore, we were not sure why the keycard only worked for our room and not the elevator...so we had to go back to the front desk and make a full circle 😥
♻️♻️♻️Lastly, a friendly reminder 😶: in response to environmental protection, the hotel rooms no longer provide bottled water. However, there is still a kettle to boil water, or there is a tap with drinkable water next to the bathroom sink. The water poured from there can be consumed directly 😉 If you really need bottled water, you can call the hotel to purchase a $5 bottle. I tried the tap water in the hotel and it tasted normal. ♻️♻️♻️
Overall, it was pretty good except for a few minor areas that could use some improvement. Plus, the hotel is located in Mong Kok and cannot be beaten! There is even a supermarket in MOKO where you can buy food and drinks to bring back to the hotel~

I stayed at the Royal Plaza Hotel for two nights each, and I was very satisfied with the experience. The main reason is that three of the staff, Eric Tang, Matthew Ng and Keith Kwan, have first-class service attitude, and the staff are polite and kind. It is efficient at check-in and has the patience to answer our questions. In addition, it also helped us solve the difficulties encountered when using the self-check-out robot.
When we first went to the Royal Plaza Hotel, we stayed in the lobby to find nearby places and restaurants. A staff member asked us if we needed help and provided us with many good suggestions. And when I stayed at the hotel for the second time, the staff carefully noticed that I had brought a cake, and asked me if I needed to put it in the hotel refrigerator before arranging the staff to deliver it to the room, which made me feel very relieved.
Thanks to the staff for making me make good memories on every trip.

Finally Got to Enjoy the Great Satisfaction of Dining at Tenkai House
I had booked a month in advance to try Tenkai House, and today was finally the day! However, due to the crowd, I could only book the 8:30 slot! Upon arrival, the entrance was already packed with people waiting to get in, and of course, the inside was fully occupied with diners.
The self-service area is right at the entrance, with a wide range of drinks available, both hot and cold, homemade beverages, and even alcoholic drinks, with dozens of options.
There are appetizers, seafood, hot dishes, dim sum, fruits, and more to choose from before the meal. The highlights include smoked salmon, smoked duck breast, and dried sausages.
Before the sashimi was served, I had already tried chicken feet, duck kidneys, fish skin, snail meat, steamed fish, fried items, drunken abalone with Huadiao wine, and the must-try Hokkaido sea urchin sushi! It's worth mentioning that all the sea urchin here comes from Hokkaido, and it's definitely worth having a few more pieces!
The sashimi is as always thickly cut and fresh. Salmon, yellowtail, tuna, red shrimp, sweet shrimp, scallops, ark shell, and red clam are all rich and sweet. Coming here, you can truly enjoy the freedom of sashimi!
A special recommendation is the grilled oysters; each oyster at this branch is as big as a palm, plump and juicy, with plenty of crispy fried garlic on top. We ordered two dozen without any missing, and they were quickly devoured.
The thick grilled goose liver is also a highlight and a must-try! Eel, pineapple, beef tongue, and lobster with Yimen noodles are also must-tries. Basically, after eating all of the above once, you're already 80% full. For the remaining time, I suggest an encore of your favorite items!
Scallop with pea shoots, supreme fish maw, signature pigeon king, grilled codfish, and more are all outstanding, with flavors that match those of outside Chinese restaurants!
Our main encores were grilled oysters, beef tongue, sea urchin sushi, and sashimi! The main focus of the sashimi encore was toro, and the second serving of toro was mostly medium toro, all pink in color, each piece very rich and melt-in-your-mouth. After finishing this plate of toro, I was truly greatly satisfied.
Finally, for dessert, there was an array of ice creams, ice pops, and homemade sweets. Cheesecake, yogurt, mango pomelo sago, coconut pandan cake, sawdust pudding, macarons, and the special mousse cake from this branch were all available~ But my favorite was definitely the coconut stewed bird's nest and durian puree. No need to spit out seeds, just enjoy the flesh, it's really the best~
This branch is spacious and comfortable, with wide seating, often visited by groups for gatherings. If you've tried other Tenkai House branches, consider trying this one as well!!!

After walking 20,000 steps in Hong Kong's Citywalk, I'm grateful for the Royal Plaza Hotel as a place to rest
Hong Kong is truly a city well-suited for Citywalk, with so many beautiful sights and delicious foods to document. Every visit to Hong Kong involves walking tens of thousands of steps, so finding a hotel that is conveniently located, quiet, and comfortable is very important.
The first recommended check-in spot is the West Kowloon Cultural District, where the Hong Kong Palace Museum and M+ Museum are located. If you're short on time, you can opt for the Xiqu Centre; the rooftop of its atrium is simply perfect for photography! There's also a corner leading to the seaside where you can witness the sunset over Victoria Harbour.
Taking photos at the Peak is also stunning, offering a bird's-eye view of Victoria Harbour.
For accommodation, I recommend the Royal Plaza Hotel, which is convenient to get to anywhere. Right below is a shopping mall and the Mong Kok East MTR station. Coming out of the mall, there's a bus terminal where you can capture the beautiful red double-decker buses.
In the pricey real estate market of Hong Kong, this hotel's room size is relatively large, with standard rooms featuring two 1.5-meter beds and a bathroom with a bathtub. It's said that often four friends will share a room, splitting the cost, making it cheaper than a budget hotel. The hotel also has a temperature-controlled swimming pool and a gym with a full range of equipment, and you can even borrow workout clothes and shoes.
The hotel's restaurant is also impressive. For the third time, Chef Jiang Zhaoqi leads the Chinese culinary team with his unique skills to interpret his understanding of Eileen Chang's 'private' thoughts in the Lion Room cuisine, launching the new 'Eileen Feast.' Themed around the legendary literary figure Eileen Chang, the menu is inspired by her life and works, creating many stunning dishes.
'The Award-Winning Signature. Star-Level Banquet' is also worth trying, with dishes like Crispy Eel and Fresh Mushroom, Coconut Flavored Huai Shan Glutinous Rice Dumplings, and 'Typhoon Shelter' Style Urine Shrimp Har Gow winning the Gold Award at the 2023 Hong Kong International Culinary Classic.

Hong Kong customs clearance! Here's a brief account of my 24 hours in Hong Kong
Departed from Guangzhou South at nine o'clock, taking the high-speed train🚅 which only takes 1 hour to reach Hong Kong🇭🇰, incredibly convenient.
Arrived at Kowloon West at ten o'clock.
Since the border just opened, there were very few people and it took about fifteen minutes to complete the 'one place, two inspections'.
Exited the station at eleven o'clock and went from Kowloon West to the Emperor Hotel in Mong Kok East to check in.
Before twelve o'clock, headed to Garden Street in Mong Kok to find food, casually picked a local tea restaurant to have a long-missed bowl of Wonton Noodles🍛.
From thirteen to fourteen o'clock, walked through Ladies' Street, Goldfish Street, and Flower Market Road, exploring the most beautiful street views along the way🌸.
From fifteen to sixteen o'clock, went to Sha Tin Plaza to enjoy (taste) an afternoon tea.
At seventeen o'clock, strolled around Sha Tin Plaza and the Snoopy's World🐼.
At eighteen o'clock, it was time for dinner, went to Tai Hing, a place loved by locals, for an authentic roast meal🍱.
At nineteen o'clock, took a double-decker bus to Tsim Sha Tsui to see the night view of Victoria Harbour, with few people and available seats, definitely choose the front row on the second floor for an excellent view🚎.
At twenty o'clock, arrived at Tsim Sha Tsui East and briefly visited the K11 Musea, known as Hong Kong's new landmark for sightseeing and shopping, and the Kpop Grid Shop🌃.
At twenty-one o'clock, enjoyed the night view in Tsim Sha Tsui East, the comfortable sea breeze matched with the romantic lights, truly enjoyable🌠.
At twenty-two o'clock, returned to the hotel to rest and sleep💤.
The next day, woke up naturally and went to Langham Place for shopping and lunch.
After eating, took the A21 Cityflyer to the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Hong Kong Port to head to Macau🇲🇴.

Best hotel to stay in Hong Kong Royal Plaza
We had our 6D5N trip to Hong Kong and enjoyed our stay at Royal Plaza Hotel @ Mongkok. The location is very strategic because it was inside a mall and there is MRT station inside the mall (Mongkok East Station). We just have to walk a 5mins distance to reach the busiest street of Mongkok. Besides that, the hotel room is spacious and there is a bathtub in the room. We don’t have to worry about food and transport staying here because everything is so convenient. Would share more on my itinerary in other post.

The reason why I wanted to visit Hong Kong is because I wanna experience Disneyland during cold weather. Despite the hot weather when I visit, I had the time of my life in Disneyland. I would also like to revisit Disneyland for the Frozen themed castle. I would love to meet Elsa and Anna!!!!

Listen to advice, remember to buy souvenirs, it's not too troublesome to bring souvenirs when you come to Hong Kong, just choose New Year's souvenirs on the first floor of the Emperor Hotel,
Including Hong Kong-style milk tea sandwich "Fun" Crisp, almond crisp, butterfly crisp, you can mix and match single, double or three kinds, the outer packaging looks good, the design has a strong festive feeling of the Spring Festival, it's decent and generous to give gifts. Awesome Hotel
It is our first girls trip with my BFF and this hotel is amazing. At first I was still considering if it will be far out as it is at mongkok East but all the worries were gone when we are there. the hotel room is cozy n well maintained. The location of the hotel is fantastic. Mongkok East MTR is only like 3mins away thru the mall. N if we want to go to Mongkok, there is a sheltered overhead bridge that will directly link over. All the walking is under shelter. thumbs up

nice hotel with convenient shopping, food and mtr nearby.
Co located with MOKO mall and connected to the Mongkok East MTR station. Going to the MTR is totally indoors, no need to be exposed to the weather. Room is good sized for a family of 4 and very well appointed. Particularly like that the room has a water filter installed in the bathroom so there is no need to buy or use bottled water. MOKO offers many food options as well as a Japanese supermarket. Hotel breakfast buffet is reasonably priced and is decent. Room rate is good relative to room size.
