#Shanghai Mansion Bangkok Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Magical Chinatown at Bangkok!
Bangkok Chinatown is the largest Chinatown in the world. It is also, quite arguably, one of the best Chinatowns to visit as well. While many countries have Chinatowns, none compare to Bangkok’s
Getting There - the best way to get to the heart of Chinatown is to take the MRT subway to the Hua Lamphong stop. Take exit one and you will be a short walk from Wat Traimit. You will also be a short taxi ride from the other must-see destinations in Bangkok's Chinatown.
Attractions - Wat Traimit and Wat Mangkon Kamalawat are two temples found in Bangkok Chinatown. Wat Traimit, also known as the Temple of the Golden Buddha, houses the world’s largest gold statue. This statue is on the fourth floor of the temple, surrounded by beautiful Thai architecture. Wat Mangkon Kamalawat is Bangkok’s largest Chinese-Buddhist temple, with roots that go all the back to 1872.
Hotels - Some of the best Chinatown / Yaowarat hotels in Bangkok are:
ASAI Bangkok Chinatown Traveler rating: 5.0/5
Shanghai Mansion Bangkok Traveler rating: 4.5/5
W22 by Burasari Traveler rating: 4.5/5
Food & Restaurants - If you love seafood, then Chinatown is the place to be in Bangkok. Head to the famous Yaowarat Road after dark to find some of the best eats in the city. If you are not sure where to begin, just follow the crowd. If you see a herd of Thais eating at a certain stall, it is most likely because of the amazing food. Fai-Kaew Yao Wa-Rat is one seafood stall that draws in some of Bangkok’s biggest crowds. There are numerous dishes to choose from, including stir-fried crab and sweet and sour shrimp. The cook is a crowd pleaser, shooting flames high into the air while diners look on.

Ambiance/Facilities - 1920 Shanghai
Highlights - Lobby bar, room decoration.
Avg. Price per Person - 1000 baht

This hotel will take you back in time to 1920s Shanghai. You'll be greeted with lanterns and koi karp, and a serene Chinese lady gazing down at you.
The hallways are hotpink and tastefully decorated with period furniture. I love the sofas. So cute
The room is like sleeping in a time machine. Check out that bed! And it's a lot more comfortable than it looks. Even the door has old style locks.
For a really classy taste of China heritage then this is the spot for you.

Best spa in Bangkok
A truly awesome place for those who wants to unwind and relax with great spa treat. Spa Burasari imbibes the healing arts, practicing a holistic approach to Eastern and Western practices that culminates in a transcendental spa experience. Shanghai Mansion is simple to find, and has a great atmosphere upon entering. There is a warm, welcoming smell. You are greeted with smiles and a glass of cold refreshing herbal drink before entering the spa. Great spa, massage was amazing. The place was beautiful and clean with a very nice decorated oriental taste. Highlight is the signature treatment, like the Singing Bowls.
This was certainly one of the best spa experience in Bangkok. The service, staff, facilities and location are all top notch. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who’s in Bangkok.
