Copenhagen is real winter fairy tale
I’m in love with another city in my travel list - Copenhagen! this city is like little gingerbread house, everything so cosy, clean streets, amazing cafes, a lot of furniture and design shops. You have to stay at least for 3 days to see all highlights
we had time to visit little Mermaid, sculpture of a girl from Andersen’s book, impressive churches, museums, sea port#copenhagen #wintergetaway #mytripvlog

Came to Copenhagen to explore and catch the ferry to Oslo ! I wanted a cheaper place to stay than the centre of Copenhagen so I stayed at the hotel cabinn metro on the outskirts of the city, I had a great time the hotel was affordable and the staff friendly ,nice clean room too!
The hotel was situated yards from an amazing shopping mall with numerous bars , restaurants and shops and also a train and subway station with regular trains into Copenhagen itself which took 10 minutes.
I had a few touristy things I wanted to do while visiting and was only here a few days…
I walked along the waterside and seen the little mermaid a bronze statue by Edvard Eriksen depicting a mermaid becoming human , it was busy with tourists in the day so I would recommend going earlier to avoid the crowds !
Another place I would recommend visiting was the national museum of Denmark it’s prob one of the best museums I’ve been too , especially the exhibit named the RAID ! where you join the vikings on an adventurous journey with denmarks largest collection of treasures from the Viking age , it was awesome !
Lastly I wanted a view of Copenhagen so I scaled the rundetaarn a 17th century round tower with great views over the city ! costs about £3 can get very busy again even out of season but definitely worth a look …..

Part of Your World
I am a big Disney fan. I grew up to Disney stories and film, and the Little Mermaid is one of the characters I really enjoy growing up. Odd choice, I know. It is also for the same reason that Copenhagen has always been in my bucket list.
So when I finally got the chance, I didn't pass on the opportunity. I packed my bags and traveled almost 18 hours for an adventure and be part of 'that' world.
The weather seem to have cooperated. It was a rather breezy day perfect for a walk and I got the chance to see other interesting things on my way to see the Little Mermaid. The statue is just off the promenade known as Langelinie. Walking from the city centre is a great option, especially if you luck out with good weather. From the cobbled streets of the lively Nyhavn area, it’s a 20-minute walk along the harbour to The Little Mermaid, near the fortress of Kastellet (The Citadel), just across the water from Refshaleøen.
Finally, I reached the harbor and got to live my own Disney fantasy.

In addition to the famous bronze statue of the Little Mermaid, Changdi Park also has the equally famous Gai Feien Fountain, which contains a long history of Nordic mythology. The Geifion Fountain consists of a group of bronzes, including the four gods of the Feion and the plow.
Gai Feien is a goddess in Norse mythology. This group of statues tells the story of a goddess and the island of Zealand where Copenhagen is located: because the goddess was ordered to plant all the land in one day. She had to turn four sons into four bulls and finally ploughed the island in one day, and the island of Zealand was owned by her.
Near the fountain is the famous St. Ebinkirche, the Holy Communion of England. Built in 1885, the designer Arthur Blomfield imitates the architectural style of an imitation British Gothic church. The church has a unique taste and a local flair, which is well worth a visit.
The church is not very big, but it is very British. To enter the church, you must obey the order of the church. You can't smoke, you can't scream loudly, you can't litter, and the church is clean and hygienic. Before entering, the staff will ask where you are from, and then give you an introduction to the church. Fortunately, there is a Chinese introduction, and you will pray in good faith.
Tips:
Changdi Park is still quite long. It takes half a day to walk around and spend all the way. It is also convenient to rent a bicycle.

The Little Mermaid, the symbol of Copenhagen, arrived in Copenhagen, and the Little Mermaid is a must-see attraction. It was created by Danish sculptor Edward Eriksson according to Andersen's Fairy Tales, only 1.5 meters high. On the way, I will see a beautiful park. Basically, people who are with you all go to see the little mermaid. Despite being psychologically prepared, I was shocked by the number of tourists. Surely, many people had to line up to take photos with the statue. Under the clear blue sky, the mermaid of the human fishtail sits on a granite, very quiet and beautiful. However, in the morning, it has more backlighting. It is recommended that friends who want to take pictures will come in the afternoon.

⏳ Playtime:
4.18 evening - 4.19 evening
🚉 Transportation tips:
After getting off the plane, purchase a 24-hour ticket at the exit, the transportation is very convenient (it is recommended to buy the 'City pass Large' for the larger area, if you accidentally travel beyond the small zone you might get fined).
🧳 Pre-trip preparation:
🪙: It's a good idea to bring a savings card and withdraw some Danish kroner at the airport. The average cost per meal is about three hundred per person, and a 24-hour transport card is 180 per person, so you can estimate your needs and withdraw accordingly.
👔 It's still very cold in Northern Europe in April, so it's advised to bring coats, down jackets, and other warm clothing!
👍 Highly recommended:
The overall environment here is very nice, and it's very suitable for a city walk along the sights! The distances between the attractions are short, so it won't be too tiring! Public transportation + walking is really chill!

Copenhagen was once chosen by the United Nations Human Settlements Programme as the "most livable city in the world"
Copenhagen (Danish: København; English: Copenhagen) is the capital, largest city, and largest port of the Kingdom of Denmark, as well as the political, economic, cultural, and transportation center of Denmark, and a world-renowned international metropolis.
Copenhagen is located in the eastern part of Zealand Island, Denmark, facing Malmö, the third largest city in Sweden, across the Øresund Strait.
Copenhagen was once chosen by the United Nations Human Settlements Programme as the "most livable city in the world", and was given the evaluation of "best design city". Copenhagen is also one of the happiest cities in the world. Most of Denmark's important food, shipbuilding, machinery, electronics and other industries are concentrated here, and many important international conferences are held here.
Copenhagen is both a traditional trade and shipping center and an emerging manufacturing city. One third of the country's factories are built in the Greater Copenhagen area.
Copenhagen is beautiful and tidy. The emerging large industrial enterprises in the city and the ancient buildings from the Middle Ages reflect each other, making it both a modern city and a city with ancient charm. It is a world-renowned historical and cultural city. The Danish symbol, the Little Mermaid statue, quietly contemplates by the sea. The fairy-tale-like ancient castles and palaces are located in this city, old and magical, art and modern.

I think every child can identify with The Little Mermaid as it is a famous Disney character and a famous fairy tale by H.C. Anderson. Your trip to Copenhagen would not be complete if you didn't stop by the Little Mermaid statue. This little mermaid statue is by Edvard Eriksen and it is not a massive statue, if you're thinking it would be gigantic. In fact, I was a little disappointed when I visited the statue as I felt it was small. However, it is still a pretty statue and the view around the Mermaid is so scenic, you will love it. The sights of the calm waters as small boats are passing by or parked at the pier. Before the walk up to the Mermaid statue, you will also see a grand fountain, which is equally beautiful. I suggest taking a walk at the area and make full use of your day there, take in the lovely sights and sounds.

Den Lille Havfrue
#celebratewithtrip
The Little Mermaid (Den Lille Havfrue) statue in Langelinie, Copenhagen is a little over 100 years old today. The statue was unveiled in August of 1913 after it was created by Edvard Eriksen. The statue is made of bronze and is one of the top tourist attractions in Copenhagen perhaps also the "most photographed ". When I was there, there was at least two tourist buses full of travellers.
Since it was unveiled in 1913, the statue still sits comfortably on her rock for over 100 years. She deserves a visit from you too if you are planning to walk the harbor of Copenhagen. It's a must!
Lille havfrue is actually a bit of a stroll from the centre of town. Head north via Amalienborg and Larsens Plads passing the Kastellet to the west. østerport is the nearest train station

the little mermaid
A very good spot to come to and take pictures, admire the landscape and even have lunch and chill near the water and appreciate the sculpture. I'd say the best time to visit is during summer. There's an ice cream truck nearby so you can fight the heat if necessary. #copenhagen
