The five famous Tibetan Buddhist temples near Baotou, Inner Mongolia, are named "The Four Famous Temples of Tibetan Buddhism in China" with the Potala Palace in Tibet, the Ta'er Monastery in Qinghai, and the Labrang Monastery in Gansu.
Five calls for 60 yuan, Mongolian, Tibetan and other ethnic minorities can offer. There are two choices from the gate of the park to the five-day call. One is the battery car, and the other is to go by yourself. I did not hesitate to choose the latter.
Actually, the road to the five-day call is very good, flat and not far. But there was a hill next to it, and the view to the top of the mountain was very good, so I went up the mountain. The hills are undulating all the way, and people are going up and down the road. Every hilltop has Mani piles and prayer flags, and the sun is colorful.
Over the top of the mountain, I finally saw the five-day call. This temple group is not large, and it is small and restrained compared to the temples in Tibet and Qinghai. Quietly standing in an unknown valley. In the autumn, the temples in the sun exude a charming light.
Five is the largest and largest temple called Su Guzhen. It is allowed to visit in the temple, but it is not allowed to take pictures. There is a house next to the Sugu Temple, called Rongken, which is a place for tea and lunch for the monks. There are four large pots built in. It is said that the largest pot can cook 1,500 pounds of beef.
Five when there are a total of nine halls. But most of them are only open to the public when they have statutes. Each stand has not only a map but also a code. If you can't get in, you can watch the inside through the computer 3D landscape.
Suddenly ran over a kitten, not afraid of people at all, but also went to the arms of people. At first glance, the monks in the temple are very good at it.
Now I think the color of Tibetan architecture is very high. It is not the kind of red and green that is advertised, but the combination of dark brown, brick red and white. Occasionally, bright yellow, very beating. Especially on sunny days, people feel comfortable.
When I arrived at the five-day call, I felt that I would return to Tibet in a moment, and the sun was as strong and pure as Tibet.

Inner Mongolia is not just about vast grasslands, but also has the 'Little Lhasa' in Baotou
🏔🏜 Following 'Aerial China' a bit late, I was recommended after watching it:
If you happen to have plans to visit Inner Mongolia, you can definitely add it to your travel list, making your trip about more than just riding horses on the grassland and staying in Mongolian yurts (many people in the invoice circle might think this is in Tibet~)
.
🌈 It is one of the four great monasteries of Tibetan Buddhism, which once had a glorious era, but now has very few monks;
🛤 After all, this is not a Tibetan area, lacking the atmosphere of Tibet, Sichuan, Gannan, and other Tibetan areas; relatively speaking, it is more suitable as a check-in spot; 'Visiting a famous Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Inner Mongolia' is also an interesting thing to do.
.
🚗 It's quite far from the city center, so self-driving/car rental/joining a tour group would be more convenient, public transportation is a bit of a hassle, but still recommended if you're not traveling with family.
➤ Specific public transportation route:
🚄 First, in the downtown area of Baotou, take a ride to Baotou East Station, (I took a train from Baotou Station to Baotou East, which is much faster than the bus);
🚌 From Baotou East Station, go to the opposite bus stop, take the No. 7 small Baotou bus to Shiguai (11 yuan/person);
🚗 Then from Shiguai, take a scenic area shuttle bus (10 yuan/person) or hire a taxi (20 yuan/person) directly to the scenic area.
.
🎫 Ticket: 60 yuan/person if purchased on the spot (I booked online for 52 yuan/person)
.
➤ Details: (Ignore this part if you're self-driving/car rental/joining a tour group)
🏡 There is a hotel near Wudangzhao, but it's easy to be fully booked, so if you don't plan to stay overnight and are preparing to return to downtown Baotou, remember to pay attention to the playtime, the last bus from Shiguai back to Baotou is currently at 6 pm (it's recommended to confirm with the driver before getting off, they are quite enthusiastic)

Baotou's 'Little Potala Palace' | Wudang Zhao
💫 Are you still worried about altitude sickness when visiting the Potala Palace? Here's a recommendation: Wudang Zhao, one of the three major Tibetan monasteries along with Ta'er Monastery in Qinghai and the Potala Palace in Tibet!
🏯 Wudang Zhao, in Mongolian 'Wudang' means 'willow tree'; originally named Badagar Zhao, meaning 'white lotus'. It was founded during the Qing Emperor Kangxi's reign (1662-1722), and was rebuilt in the fourteenth year of Emperor Qianlong's reign (1749), when it was given the Han name Guangjue Temple. The first living Buddha, Luobusangjia Lazo, built it based on Tibet's Tashilhunpo Monastery, and through expansions during the Kangxi, Qianlong, Jiaqing, Daoguang, and Guangxu periods, it gradually expanded to its current size. It is located on a hillside in a valley called Wudang Gou, on a slope of a mountain called Aobao Mountain, hence it is commonly known as Wudang Zhao. Wudang Zhao faces south according to the terrain. It has more than 2,500 rooms including various halls, scripture halls, and monks' quarters, covering over 300 acres, distributed along a 1.5-kilometer-long hillside. It is a white building constructed in layers along the mountain, surrounded by mountains, and sheltered by green pines and cypresses, majestic and spectacular.
💙 Wudang Zhao is located in Shiguai District, Baotou City, Inner Mongolia, and is about an hour's drive from the city center. You can choose to rent a car or take a bus (Route 7) to reach the scenic area.
💜 The scenic area is open from 9 am to 5 pm.
🧡 Ticket price for the scenic area is 60 yuan
Discount policy for the scenic area:
1⃣️ Free admission: Children under 1.2 meters (excluding), seniors aged 65 and above (including), holders of tour guide certificates issued by the National Tourism Administration, active military personnel, retired military personnel, military academy students, retired staff, disabled veterans, and people with disabilities can enter the park for free.
2⃣️ Half-price tickets: Children between 1.2 meters (excluding) and 1.4 meters, seniors aged between 60 and 64, students over 1.4 meters tall and in school can enjoy half-price tickets (valid identity documents such as ID card, senior citizen card, disability card, student card, etc. must be presented at the tourist center ticket window for identity verification)
❤️ Wudang Zhao's Buddha Sunning Festival. The event is one of the Wudang Zhao Mani prayer activities. On the first day of the eighth lunar month every year, Wudang Zhao holds a 'Buddha Sunning' event. The giant thangka of the Buddha that is sunned during this event is 20 meters high and 16.8 meters wide, the largest in Inner Mongolia. It is laid out on the hillside for sunning, and the scene is very grand. Don't miss out if you're interested!

The 'Potala Palace' on the grassland
Wudang Zhao is the largest and most complete Gelugpa monastery in Inner Mongolia. 'Wudang' means willow in Mongolian, and 'Zhao' means temple in Tibetan, which can be translated as 'The Monastery in Willow Valley'.
The spatial layout and architectural style of Wudang Zhao have great historical and artistic value, reflecting the diverse ethnic, historical, and cultural characteristics and heritage.
The monastery is purely in Tibetan style, with several main halls arranged in a terraced fashion up the hillside, and countless monks' quarters scattered around and along the two sides of the valley, looking like a small Tibetan town from afar. The temple walls are built of huge stones, with walls as thick as one meter, and only pillars and beams are made of wood. All buildings within the monastery have flat roofs.
It is now a key national cultural heritage site and a national AAAA tourist attraction.

The Veiled Potala Palace: A Mysterious Journey in the Clouds
Another stunning attraction - Wudang Zhao, a must-visit spot in Baotou, Inner Mongolia, my top 1 in heart.

🌟Highlights: Built during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, it is the largest and most complete Tibetan Buddhist temple in Inner Mongolia, known as the Potala Palace on the grassland, the first temple on the northern grassland. In 2015, it was awarded the title of 'Study Tourism Destination' by the Asia Pacific Tourism Association. It is the only completely preserved pure Tibetan architectural complex in Inner Mongolia and the activity center of Tibetan Buddhism.
❤Recommended Reason:
I love this place too much, it's very comfortable, and the atmosphere of Tibetan Buddhism is very strong. We arrived in the afternoon, went a bit late, the staff kindly suggested to visit first and then take pictures, otherwise there won't be enough time. When we arrived at a place, it happened to be the time for the monks to close the door. Knowing that I came from Hainan, they specially opened the inner door for us to worship. It is said that it is usually not open, only for the destined people
The whole scenic area, in addition to experiencing Tibetan culture, is also very photogenic. There is a long plank road on the mountain, you can climb up and walk, overlooking the whole scenic area. In short, this is also a place I highly recommend
📌Small Tips: In Inner Mongolia, whether it's summer or not, you must do a good job of sun protection, bring an extra coat

Wudang is hidden in the depths of the rolling and undulating Daqing Mountain. A white building built by mountains and mountains surrounds the mountains and is surrounded by pines and cypresses. After the dance, the Buddhist scriptures linger in the ear, let go of the impetuous, and piously pray for the people you care about...
