We spent the entire day at the Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise for my boyfriend’s birthday. The park is pretty large and includes several different areas: the Aqua Museum, Dolphin Fantasy, Umi Farm, and Fureai Lagoon. There are also some rides and several eateries around. We awed at the massive polar bear in the Aqua Museum, watched a marine mammal show and dolphin performances, and rode the Leviathan roller coaster. Definitely a fun and educational day.

Yokohama Hakkeijima sea paradise
Address: Hakkeijima, Kanazawa Ward, Yokohama, Kanagawa 236-0006, Japan
A sea aquarium integrated with an amusement park, hotel and retail shops since 1993. I managed to visit it in the year 2020 for a countdown party. I was berry surprise with their dolphins performance and the catchy songs used during their show. It was definitely interactive and brought joy to all the audience. It is located offshore on an island and trains are running to this Sea Paradise. So the transportation is easy and you can drive there too.
The countdown party was fabulous with fireworks in the skies. I did not know which direction the fireworks but I was glad to watch it happen at midnight. Plus, there were still trains running back to the main island.

🤗🪷 I had an exciting adventure during our vacation when I visited the lively city of Japan. The spring season transformed the surroundings into a paradise, and walking around Hakkeijima Sea Paradise gave us a sense of rejuvenation. The breathtaking landscapes in this serene sanctuary left us in awe, providing us with unforgettable moments.
This theme park is a perfect destination for children, even those who are already established in their careers and own property. Divided into two distinct sections - Pleasure Land and Aqua Resorts - with no admission fee, allowing guests to pay for each ride individually or opt for a comprehensive ticket package.
The Aqua Museum aquarium, located in the prestigious Aqua Resorts area, is a must-visit destination boasting 120,000 sea creatures from 700 different species, including dolphins, sharks, penguins, and polar bears. At Umi Farm, guests can experience the thrill of fishing and then savour their fresh catch prepared on-site. Pleasure Island offers a classic amusement park experience with attractions like the Sea Paradise Tower for breathtaking views and a thrilling roller coaster ride over the water. Embark on a pirate ship cruise through the high seas for a unique water adventure, ensuring a full itinerary during your stay. Don't forget to explore the vibrant seaside garden at Hakkeijima, featuring cherry blossoms in April and a stunning display of approximately 20,000 hydrangeas in June.
The luxurious and alluring retreat has etched a lasting impression in my mind. The joy of returning and cherishing each moment in this unique sanctuary is incomparable. 🏵🌺🪷#mytravelhacks #historicallandmarks #localguides #familytrip

Hakkeijima Sea Paradise
Hakkeijima Sea Paradise has an Amusement park and an Aqua Resort. Aqua Resorts offers four things : Aquarium, Dolphin show, A small but separate aquarium for Dolphin called Dolphin Fantasy, Umi farm (to catch fishes and eat the catches) and Furei Lagoon where you can touch the mammals. Amusement park has a high fall (I guess 42m in height) and roller-coaster. Besides, it has introduced new adventures such as rock climbing and it has many rides for children. Definitely something for everyone to enjoy. And I don't think one can complete all this in a day.

#thingstodo Amazing places to visit with friends or family! Kids will love marine life display and shows. Very cute.
With friends, the amusement park offers a lot of rides. 1 day is not enough!
We did not get accommodation but would have wanted to stay to watch the night shows..
We took the seaside line train which had a beautiful view. Took the shuttle bus from the station to the entrance of the aqua museum.. The bus can take you to specific rides also, but restricted timings.
Lot of food options in the food court or a couple of good restaurants. As always, restrooms everywhere. Nice souvenirs shopping too.
We had fun!

Hakkeijima Sea Paradise is an artificial island theme park opened in 1993 in Hakkeijima. The entire island region is the Hakkeijima Sea Paradise site. Additionally, entry is free and only when entering aquariums or using attractions are charges needed. You can spend a whole day here. Try as many rides as you can. Enjoy the food and enjoy shopping as well.
I want to come back here again and try the roller coaster again.

Hakkeijima is an artificial island located in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. The area of Hakkeijima is approximately 24 hectares (24ha). Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise is an amusement park built on Hakkeijima. It is located at the end of Yokohama Bay and is a new type of amusement park, as well as one of the best aquariums in Japan.

A family and couple-friendly amusement park and aquarium integrated park, located in Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan. It takes about an hour by car from Tokyo via the highway. It is a seaside amusement park with four aquariums and various attractions such as white-water rafting, roller coasters, mazes, and rotating games for children. As it is an island, visitors can row their own boats or take a boat ride to enjoy the scenery. The focus is on the aquariums, with four of them rotating various performances. My child loves watching dolphin shows the most. There are also light shows in the evening, as well as dolphin feeding, touching and interacting with dolphins, but reservations are required in advance. If you don't want to go outdoors in the summer, you can just buy tickets for the aquarium. There are also all-inclusive tickets, but I recommend buying individual tickets because it's hard to experience everything with a lot of people. The aquariums are all indoors and not hot, and the various sea animal performances are very entertaining. There is also a small zoo with some animals that can be touched and children are very excited about it. There are also food options available, averaging around 1000 yen per person. Going in the morning and returning in the evening allows visitors to enjoy many attractions without getting bored. Highly recommended!

Yokohama Trip
On a quiet Saturday my friend and I visited Hakkeijima Sea Paradise. It was amazing seeing the sea creatures and interacting with them. The park is large and you could make it a day with your friends and family. There are many rides I would say that they are more catered to children. Make sure to look up the event times if you are interested in watching any shows there. I went early in the morning and I made a dinner reservation for the afternoon so I didn’t get to see the dolphin show. I would highly recommend to visit if you are in the Tokyo area.

This amusement park is an ultimate paradise! I absolutely loved the view sea view. Very relaxing. But anyway, it also has an aquarium, which I was not that interested of. Basically, it is a pay-as-you amusement. That means, you can pay for the attractions that you specifically want. Me, on the other hand, opted for the free locations because I didn't have money. So, I just watched the sea view from the park and bought some snacks.

Yokohama Hakkeijima is located in the artificial island of Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. It covers an area of about 4 hectares and is 18 times that of the Tokyo Dome. It is a comprehensive amusement park with the best aquarium in Japan.
The three-storey large sink in the aquarium has more than 100,000 sardines. The aquarium's dolphins are worth seeing. Walking in the tunnel, several dolphins swim back and forth in the huge transparent sink. Suddenly through, that feeling, like walking through the sea. There is also an outdoor training hall that can be in close contact with dolphins.
Dolphin under the training of the breeder, will take off, circle, kneel on the shore, do not move the probe to let us touch, from time to time a squeaky voice to express its joys and sorrows.
Tips
Traffic: The nearest station is the Hakkeijima Station on the Seaside Line. It is generally convenient to go with the group. If you are driving, you need to charge the parking fee for 1,200 yen a day.
Tickets: The coupons for the playground and the aquarium add up to 5050 yen per person, and the tickets for the aquarium and amusement park are 3,000 yen. The aquarium is worth a visit. Every adult can bring two children under the age of 3 to travel. It is very cost-effective, but children who have more than 4 years old will have to buy another ticket. There is a child ticket, which is 1550 yen per person.
