Harbin For almost a century, Zhongyang Pedestrian Street, also known as Central Avenue, in downtown Harbin, the capital of Heilongjiang Province in Northeast China, has been the most lucrative business centre. The street runs north to Harbin Flood Prevention Cenotaph Square and south to Xinyang Square. The entire roadway is divided into several sections, each with its own set and vehicles were not allowed to run along the street. The Central Avenue, which opened in 1898, has been labeled "a gallery of European architectural art" since it houses a large number of western structures, including Russian, Baroque, Renaissance, and other styles. Ugh i wish i took many picts when I was there! it was around -29 degrees at that time. I miss drinking a cup of hot cola. It will sound silly but eating Harbin’s famous vanilla ice cream at Zhongyang st. is a must thing to do! Zhongyang st. is prettier at night. So many lights and the ice statues’ lighting was on point. Many small stores selling souvenirs and chocolates. Missing Harbin so badly.
