Camping in middle of Desert 🏜️
#glamping
Given that the tent city is only erected for the fair it was good. The tent was spacious, containing two twin beds and had an ensuite bathroom. There was no a/c.There were two chairs in the tent and two out front. The tent also included a shaded front porch. We stayed there for two nights arriving at lunchtime on the first day. For us the time was too long; 1/2 to 1 day would have been enough, in part because the middle of the day was so hot that we spent it keeping cool as best we could be taking showers and relaxing on the front porch. The food was vegetarian and was reasonably good given the number of people they had to accommodate. It was billed as an alcohol free space though a group of people on our row clearly had brought alcohol and had a happy hour before dinner. The camp provided transportation to the fair which was in the form of carts pulled by camel or tractor.

Pushkar 🏜, Ajmer, Rajasthan - India Travel
Pushkar is a city in the Ajmer district of Rajasthan, India. It is located about 10 km from Ajmer city. It is a very famous pilgrimage site for Hindus and Sikhs. It has many temples and a famous lake.
Pushkar is also famous for its annual fair called Pushkar Camel Fair, which features a trading fete of cattle, horses and camels. It is held over seven days in autumn, around October or November.
📍 Getting There - From Ajmer city we booked a cab till Pushkar. It is around 10km from the Ajmer city.
⚡️Attractions - Temples, Pushkar lake, camel ride/safari, Pushkar camel fair or camel festival, etc.
🍴Food & Restaurants - Very limited food options and restaurants, mostly street food (which I'll not recommend). Better to carry some snacks.
🛍 Shopping - You can buy some souvenirs in the fair, don't forget to bargain though.

It gains importance among spiritual travelers who aim to have a holy dip in the lake, which is considered a holy place and the King of ‘Tirthas’. It is believed that having a holy dip here is equivalent to doing meditation and prayer for a hundred years. Hence, this is most frequented by people who follow a particular faith. For others and including the religious people, this place is a beauty in itself. Surrounded by 400 temples and 52 palaces, the lake still looks serene and calm. The place is unique and the sunrise and sunset are beautiful to watch from here.

When I fir
When I first arrived in Pushkar, I met a rare Indian wedding. We rushed into the wedding team and sneaked a lot of photos. The enthusiastic Indians also invited us to take photos with them, and proposed to let them also attend their wedding with their patriarchs. But we refused. In other words, the groom is riding a white horse to greet the bride, and looks really good.
In India, the wedding time is more than 8:00 pm, the wedding venue chooses to open the fixed venue, and there are chefs on the scene to make Indian food.
The bride went to the salon to dress up on the wedding day. The groom wore Indian national costumes and sat in the carriage early to arrive at the wedding scene to wait for the bride. The groom can enter the wedding scene after waiting, accepting the blessings of the female elders, and cutting the ribbon.
At the formal wedding ceremony, the bride and groom first accept the blessings of the elders and relatives of the women's ethnic group, and then enter the rituals such as wearing garlands, exchanging jewellery, burning grains and wishing for each other's handkerchiefs. The entire wedding took 7 or 8 hours.
Most of the man is responsible for buying a house, while the woman is responsible for purchasing home appliances and other wedding facilities and holding weddings. The female family with conditions will also accompany the car.

The holy c
The holy city of Pushkar has a population of only 14,800, but it has several Hindu temples. In the streets and lanes, on both sides of the trail, almost all of them are occupied by temples. More interesting is that there are many home vestibules that are temples. The citizens in the small town are devout Hindus, and tourism and religious activities are their main tasks. The small town strictly abides by the ancient Hindu rules, and the whole city is vegetarian. In this city, alcohol, meat, and even eggs are banned. The small town was built around the lake. Except for bicycles, no other means of transportation is allowed, which is a very rare rule in India. The small town is small, with only one main street, surrounded by lakes, and almost all of the main buildings are built around small lakes. Here you can think about everything, you can also do nothing, feel free to think, quite emotional.

Every corn
Every corner of the hotel is picturesque, with a variety of ornamental potted plants and hanging green vines. The balcony is a three-blue dream palace hemisphere pavilion. All the murals in this 5-storey house are purely hand-painted! Ok, next to the return theme, our various photos ^^!
Sit on the stairs, continue to shoot against the wall, Zhaijing will come again, you will take the trouble to let me shoot... I took a picture from the third floor door and lock of our residence. In the lobby of the building, the boss who sat in the conversation with the guests saw the instinct and let go. When we prepared to take another road to the 5th floor, the boss who was infected by us shouted, "I will come to take a photo with you!" Finally, we stayed in the dream pavilion on the 4th floor. This floor is already semi-open (the hotel is a circular hollow courtyard design), half is still the housing design, and the other half is completely connected to the outside world, so we can This continues to take pictures of the interior, and you can also watch the blue sky and white clouds and breathe fresh air while taking a break in the hall. But we didn't even think about sitting on the tatami in the pavilion and sitting down and didn't want to get up, because it was so pleasant!

The small
The small town Pushkar is built around the lake. The houses built around the lake are mostly white. Most of them are temples, which are especially beautiful under the lake. The lake here is a holy water to the devout Hindus, just like the Ganges River. They believe that holy water can wash away sin and seek the blessing of the gods. In the evening, I came to the lake. There are many European and American tourists practicing yoga and tambourine here. It is very lively.

Walk the World Series India: Pushkar
Pushkar, also known as the Holy City, is a city under Rajasthan state in India, located in the northwest of India with a population of about 14,800. The city is famous for its dense distribution of Hindu temples, with small religious sites commonly seen along the streets and in front yards of residences. The entire city enforces a strict vegetarian policy, prohibiting the sale of alcohol, meat, and eggs, and only bicycles are allowed as means of transportation.
The city is built by the mountains and lake, with the main buildings distributed along the only main street around the lake. Its core sacred lake is said to have been formed by lotus petals falling from the hand of Brahma, the creator god in Hinduism. The Hindi name "Pushkar" comes from the combination of "PUSHPA (flower)" and "KAR (hand)." The lake water is regarded as holy by Hindus, and white houses and dedicated bathing ghats are built on the lakeside for devotees to purify themselves.

Savitri Temple – A Scenic Hike Above Pushkar
#favouriteitinerary
Perched atop Ratnagiri Hill, the Savitri Temple offers breathtaking panoramic views of Pushkar and its surrounding desert landscape. Dedicated to Goddess Savitri, the temple is a significant pilgrimage site and provides a rewarding experience for those who make the climb.
The hike to the temple takes about 30–45 minutes, following a series of stone steps that wind up the hill. Though steep in some parts, the effort is well worth it, especially at sunrise or sunset, when the views over Pushkar Lake and the town below are truly mesmerizing. For those who prefer a more relaxed ascent, a ropeway cable car is also available.
Once at the top, visitors can soak in the spiritual atmosphere of the temple, enjoy the cool breeze, and admire the stunning desert scenery stretching into the horizon.
