The first World Horticultural Expo in the Middle East 🇶🇦🍃
#GetDiscountsWithoutLuck
Expo 2023 Doha was held at Al Bidda Park on the Corniche in the heart of Doha. The overall atmosphere was vast, spacious, and visually appealing. From the moment you step in, you'll feel that the event truly emphasizes nature; there's plenty of greenery, trees, and beautifully designed gardens. It's more suitable for leisurely strolling than rushing to see everything. This event didn't offer the flashy atmosphere of a large Expo as some might expect, but rather a relaxed, peaceful, and elegant feel, in true Qatari style.
Walking around the event was quite enjoyable because the area is by the sea, with a constant breeze, making it comfortable, especially in the soft evening sunlight. There are many photo opportunities, including the gardens, pavilions, and the distant Doha Skyline view. If you like nature-themed, minimalist, and green-themed content, this event is perfect for you.
The pavilions from each country weren't all spectacular. Some were simply designed, focusing more on environmental information, agriculture, and water management than showcasing cutting-edge technology. This might make some zones feel faster to navigate, but if you read the details carefully, you'll gain a lot of valuable information, especially regarding the concept of sustainable desertification. This fits the Green Desert theme perfectly.
The event features family zones, children's activities, restaurants, cafes, and seating areas scattered throughout, preventing a cramped feeling. However, it's undeniably a huge space with a lot of walking involved. If you plan to spend the whole day there, wear comfortable shoes; otherwise, your feet will definitely get tired. Some days, especially weekdays, the atmosphere is quite quiet, offering a peaceful environment without the need to compete for photo opportunities.
Overall, Expo 2023 Doha isn't an event you absolutely must attend for its spectacular, world-class displays. It's ideal for those who want to stroll around, breathe fresh air, admire beautiful gardens, take relaxed photos, and subtly absorb environmental concepts. If you don't have overly high expectations, this event is a very enjoyable and relaxing experience.
