#2026NewYear I arrived at Wanxiangcheng around 5-6 PM, but it was already full, so I had to wait about 30 minutes! After getting my ticket, I scanned the QR code with Alipay, and it was convenient because I could immediately see my waiting number. 🍀 They called out my number in Chinese, so I had to be careful. Since it's inside a food court, I wandered around and looked around while waiting. I got a draft beer and waited while waiting. 🍺 There were a ton of locals waiting, too. I thought, "Wow, this place is a real gem." The best part about this place is the single-serving hot pot. You can choose your own flavor. I chose the spicy broth, and my friend chose the clear soup 🔥🧑🍳 You can make your own sauce and get drinks (free). The ingredients were plentiful and fresh, and overall, they were delicious. Honestly, I almost burst from eating so much... But you really have to try the chicken. The suite was in really good condition, and it was spacious, so it didn't feel stuffy, and I was very satisfied with the view of the night sky. 🍀 The indoor pool and fitness center were available even in winter. There was also a heated pool and a simple indoor jjimjilbang-like space, so I was able to maintain my condition even on a cold day. 🧖♀️ Amenities like towels and slippers were well-prepared, and the overall comfortable atmosphere was even better. But one thing! Meidaer, a famous Korean restaurant in Qingdao 🍻 The line was so long that it was quite crowded, but it was a bit awkward to wait right away, so I had a light lunch nearby, sipped bubble tea, and explored the area before returning. 🧋 The stir-fried clams and guo bao rou were delicious, and the Wonjang beer was perfect. 🍺 There's seating on the second floor, and I ate on the first floor. The line next to me was full of Koreans, so everyone chatted and became friendly while waiting. Because it's a tourist destination, the atmosphere was even more fun. ☺️ I'd already had a bite to eat somewhere else, so I was a little disappointed I couldn't try the famous eggplant dish. 🥲 I definitely want to try that next time I come. Qingdao, where I spent a night as a stopover on my way from Xi'an to Incheon. Shangyi Ge, a ten-minute walk from the Grand Regency Hotel, is a tiny restaurant with only three or four tables. I was lucky enough to find just one table open when I visited, but there was a wait right away. The menu was conveniently arranged as a set meal, and the affordable price of 65 yuan for a half-set made it a comfortable and affordable option. The half-set, consisting of half a Peking duck (including pancakes, vegetables, and sauce) and deep-fried duck bones, was enough for one person. After a glass of Tsingtao beer, I ate a crispy-on-the-skin Peking duck wrapped in a pancake with green onions and soybean paste sauce. It was truly a great value restaurant.
