It's incredibly spacious, beautifully designed, and very comfortable for a long day of shopping. 📍No. 10 Shandong Road, Shinan District, Qingdao. Hours: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM, though it's best to double-check before your visit. The shopping complex spans multiple levels, including both above-ground and underground floors. Its size is truly impressive. Here, you'll find everything from luxury brands (Chanel, Gucci, Dior, Prada, Burberry) to mass-market favorites (H&M, Uniqlo, Mango, etc.), as well as Miniso and Pop Mart. There are also plenty of perfume and cosmetics stores. You'll discover a wide variety of cafes, restaurants, and bakeries. All in all, MixC is a fantastic spot to combine shopping, dining, and entertainment all in one place.

The most exciting part of the Tsingtao Beer Festival is the main venue, "Golden Beach Beer City." When I actually went there, it felt less like a beer festival and more like a massive event combining an amusement park, a food festival, a music festival, and a fireworks display! What surprised me was that I hardly saw any Japanese tourists. That's precisely why I was able to fully experience the special feeling of "I'm at a festival overseas!" However, even when they realized I was Japanese, the locals were very kind. They offered help when I was in trouble and greeted me with smiles, which changed my image of China in a good way 😊 ⸻ 🎆The fireworks and drone show at night were spectacular! As the sun set, the venue was lit up, creating a magical atmosphere. The fireworks and drone show were on a scale far beyond my expectations. If you're taking photos or videos, nighttime is recommended! 📸 ⸻ 🍺 The famous "plastic bag beer" This is something you absolutely must experience when you come to Qingdao! Draft beer is poured into a plastic bag and drunk with a straw – a Qingdao specialty! 🍺 It's surprising at first, but it instantly gets you in the festive spirit. ⸻ ⛽ A beer stand that looks like a gas station! One of the most eye-catching things at the venue was the beer stand that looked like a gas station pump. Of course, I bought a beer here too! 🍺 It's incredibly photogenic! Even so, I bought one just to enjoy the presentation! ⸻ 🍢 Even the skewers are Chinese-sized! Many people were enjoying beer with long skewers in hand. Furthermore, there was even bungee jumping! What I found interesting was that the price varied depending on the beer brand. From what I observed, popular brands like unblended beer were more expensive. Furthermore, prices could rise when demand was high, and I even saw prices change while I was waiting in line. It was like a marketplace style of sales, something you rarely experience in Japan. ⸻ 🚇 Convenient Access! But Be Careful on the Return Trip The venue is within walking distance of the metro, so access is excellent. However, taxis become quite difficult to find around 10 PM. If you plan to take a taxi, it's recommended to leave a little earlier. ⸻ 🚻 Toilet Situation There are free toilets. ✔ Toilet paper is generally not provided. ✔ Bringing your own tissues is recommended. I had the impression that "Chinese toilets are dirty," but the ones I used were more normal than I expected. ⸻ 👮 Safety? I was a little wary since it was a festival abroad, but I didn't see anyone getting drunk and bothering me. Of course, there were some "summer festival uncles" enjoying beer with their bellies exposed...🤣 Even with that, it was a very peaceful and local atmosphere.
