Ross Bakery Inn is the most famous bakery in the town of Ross Town, where the magical girl Kiki is working in The Knicks. This bakery can bake more than 300 breads a day and has been in business for a century.

Ross Town, located on Tasmania Island, Australia, is the smallest and loneliest state in Australia. Ross Town has a century-old bridge called Ross Bridge, quietly spanning the Ross River, witnessing the vicissitudes of this small town. In autumn, there are very few people here, allowing you to sit quietly on Ross Bridge and watch the leaves fall one by one from the trees. Next to Ross Bridge, there is a bakery, but unfortunately, we visited on Monday and Tuesday when it was closed. However, this became the biggest surprise of our trip. On the path beside Ross Bridge, fallen leaves cover the entire road, rustling underfoot like nature playing an autumn symphony. At the entrance of the town park, under a big tree, the ground is covered with fallen leaves, and sunlight filters through the gaps in the leaves, creating a beautiful scene. The park also has a swimming pool and a playground, where children play on the playground and adults splash around in the pool. On Ross Bridge, you can see the distant mountains and sky, reflecting each other and forming a beautiful picture.

In Ross, time slows down. The highway stretches straight north, the car gliding into the heart of Tasmania. In the town of Ross, we made a brief stop. An old stone bridge quietly spanned the river, the grass was soft, and the wind was gentle. Here, there were no itineraries, only reasons to stroll. We went into a café converted from an old house and ordered a slice of their famous vanilla cake. The cake was soft, the vanilla aroma mild and authentic, like the character of this town—unassuming, yet memorable. Afternoon sunlight streamed onto the wooden tables, and time seemed to slow down as well. After dessert, we went into a nearby wool shop. Merino wool was woven into scarves and sweaters, warm to the touch, with understated colors, as if already preparing for the approaching chill. Ross isn't big, but it's just right. On a long journey, it acts like a gentle comma, reminding us that travel is not just about reaching a destination, but also about allowing ourselves to live slowly in a small town.

We took a short road trip to North West Tasmania to see the Tulip Blossom in early October, departing from Hobart. As always, we stopped at Ross Bakery to enjoy "The best Vanilla Slice in Tasmania". We can never get enough of it! Next, we drove to Launceston (Launnie) to drop off a friend. The drive was pleasant, especially since the weather was much better than we expected for early Tassie winter. We then took a break in Westbury, where we wandered through a lovely antique shop and admired the beautiful gardens and historic houses. For lunch, we had a seafood platter at the famous Chef's Catch. The fresh, cooked fish was absolutely delicious! Another stop in Penguin gave us a chance to soak up the sun, enjoy the beach and sea, and some ice cream. We spent the night on Burnie’s Great Ocean View Road, which offered breathtaking views. The next morning, we had an incredible coffee and breakfast at the Chapel in Burnie which is truly a five-star quality! After that, we headed to the Table Cape Tulip Fields. My girlfriend loved the vibrant flowers, and we spent a few hours there taking plenty of photos. We also bought a beautiful bouquet of tulips to take home. We finished the day at Boat Harbour Beach, which is one of the most picturesque beaches in NW Tasmania. Finally, we made our way back to Hobart. This time I went to a bakery called Ross Village bakery in Tasmania.
