Heading to the "Ororon Line" along the Sea of Japan coast in Hokkaido 🚗✨ While driving through the Rumoi, Obira, and Mashike areas, I explored a local route where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets, delicious seafood bowls, and a historic sake brewery. It’s a local trip, but the scenery and food exceeded all expectations. Here’s a roundup of the spots! 📍 Ogonmisaki Seaside Park / Golden Cape, Rumoi A spot where the sunset over the Sea of Japan is absolutely stunning. Watching the sunset through the round monument is super photogenic—it’s worth the visit just for the photos. I highly recommend timing your visit for the late afternoon. 📍 Shokujidokoro Sumire / Sumire Seafood Bowl A popular seafood bowl restaurant in Obira Town. Their luxurious bowls loaded with sweet shrimp, salmon roe, salmon, and tuna are perfect for anyone craving an authentic Hokkaido meal. It gets quite busy during lunchtime, so it's best to allow plenty of extra time. 📍 Kunimare Sake Brewery / Kunimare Sake Brewery A historic sake brewery located in Mashike Town. They have a fantastic tasting corner 🍶 The retro building has a great vibe. Highly recommended not just for sake lovers, but also for anyone wanting to experience Hokkaido's local culture. My third meal at Sapporo Ramen Alley, this time after 3pm and most shops were closed for break between 3-5pm. So it’s best to avoid 3-5pm unless you want to avoid queues and do not mind any ramen shops that still operating (very few) TenHou was still open for business and we tried the #3 shop in this famous alley. Ordered Soybean paste (miso) ramen for Y900 & Gyouza (Y500). The soybean paste miso ramen was a bit salty for my liking as compared to Teshikaga and Baisensha.
