2026 Westchester County Travel Guide: must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transport & travel experiences (updated in September)

The Great Gatsby tour was fantastic! We went from Port Washington to near the Throgs Neck Bridge, with Rochester and Westchester visible in the distance, all enjoyed from the Manhasset Bay. Kevin was engaging and very informative, sharing so much history along the way. This tour should be a must for all local high schools! I’ll definitely be back and might also try the Fall tour of Long Island Sound.

#newyorktrip There is a $5 fee to enter for non residents but definitely worth it. Beautiful little swimming hole with lifeguards and two different areas to go for a swim (the water is merky and a bit questionable) but locals seem to love it and it gets tested by the city daily. There is no shade so bring an umbrella and no concession stand so bring your own picnic. There is and outdoor shower and another inside the restroom wich was very convenient. The views are beautiful!
