Sabadell, the "Catalan Manchester"
Emerging from the banks of the River Ripoll, Sabadell is now a dynamic and active city with services and spaces for calm. The old town retains many of its old facades and at the same time has become a landmark shopping area.
Known as "Catalan Manchester", for its textile heritage from the mid-19th century, it has maintained its chimneys and steam, while diversifying into the service sector. Sabadell and its surroundings have become one of the most important centres of attraction for business, innovation and knowledge initiatives in the Mediteraneean area.
Thw city enjoys all kinds of sports and cultural facilities, shopping areas, business areas, restsurants, parks and leisure in a familiar and sale environment. Sabadell is very well connected and has various mobility options. Surrounded by a network of roads, motorways and trains, it has public transport, buses, taxis, cycle paths and even the largest private airport in Catalonia.

Beautiful Gothic Bridges 🇪🇸 Barcelona Trip
Spain Trip 🇪🇸 Barcelona's Gothic Quarter
Barcelona's most beautiful medieval old town
Walking around the Gothic Quarter
A place I definitely wanted to see in this area: Pont del Bisbe
Government buildings are located on both sides of Sant Jaume Square,
and the small walkway connecting them is incredibly ornate! ✨
Looking down from the wall
The intricate decorations at the base of the bridge
The decorative design of the bridge itself
The mysterious skeleton visible when you're directly underneath the bridge...💀
My anticipation for Barcelona Cathedral is skyrocketing! 💓

Sabadell: A Historic Town Near Barcelona
During this trip to Barcelona, I chose to stay in Sabadell, a historic and culturally rich town located a bit farther from the city center. This charming town is worth exploring, with many attractive tourist spots, including the magnificent Església de Sant Fèlix, known for its exquisite architectural style and historical significance. Additionally, Sabadell's town center boasts delightful squares and shopping areas, allowing visitors to easily enjoy local cuisine and shopping experiences. However, what impressed me the most was the warmth of the locals. When I was struggling to communicate in a convenience store, a local person kindly offered to help us translate, and despite the communication barriers, the store staff greeted us with smiles, eager to assist.
One of Sabadell's most famous attractions is the renowned Hotel Balneari de Caldes de Montbui. This hotel is famous for its natural thermal spa facilities, providing the perfect place for visitors to relax and rejuvenate. The thermal waters in the hotel are rich in minerals, which are very beneficial to health, attracting many travelers seeking relaxation and healing.
Whether exploring historical sites, enjoying local cuisine, or relaxing, Sabadell offers an unforgettable experience for visitors.
