#Spring0yenTrip Sado Island is a remote island about 2.5 hours away by ferry from Niigata. The first place we visited when we arrived on Sado Island was a crested ibis breeding facility. Although we were not able to see wild crested ibises, it was a valuable experience to see their beautiful appearance at a facility where conservation activities are carried out. We chose this hotel for our Sado Island trip... It's been featured in numerous media outlets, and I was really looking forward to it. Upon stepping inside, we were greeted by a beautiful sculpture of crested ibises soaring from the ceiling of the lobby. While enjoying our welcome drinks, we gazed out at the "water terrace," which resembled an infinity pool. Beyond that, we had a panoramic view of the deep blue Sea of ​​Japan. This location alone instantly transported us to an extraordinary world. Our guest room was a renovated "oceanfront" room with a modern Japanese design. A sofa corner was situated in front of the large window, allowing us to enjoy the luxurious view of the Sea of ​​Japan, like a painting, all to ourselves. The tatami-floored space was incredibly comfortable to walk on barefoot, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The hot springs, which I had been looking forward to, had a superb quality that warmed us to the core. The gradation of the sea and sky viewed from the open-air bath was breathtakingly beautiful. The relaxation area after your bath offers a delightful ice pop service, and in the evening, you can enjoy a footbath while gazing at the night sky. Towels are provided in the large public bath, a thoughtful touch that allows you to go empty-handed from your room.
