#springitinerary Good museum at bottom of hill worth visiting before going up to the complex. Also good walks around the mountain. You do need a car. This temple on a hillside overlooking the river and fields of the surrounding countryside has an impressive collection of buildings and Buddhist sculpture. The carvings of Buddhist statues are delicate, precise, and accurate. You can clearly feel the spirit of the Buddhist sculptor. The buildings of the ancient temples also have a historical appearance, and I felt the weight of history when I thought about how many people joined hands.

Although it is aimed at family camping, it has a large capacity that can accommodate solo travelers, has reasonable price and is convenient because you can almost auto-camp depending on the location. The facilities are clean. Restrooms and running water are only available near the administration building, so you will need to prepare accordingly.

The alkaline spring beauty bath made my skin smooth and beautiful. The iron springs and simple springs were also good. The park also has many trees, flowers, rest areas, and play equipment, making it ideal for picnics with small children.

This was my first time in this area!!! I rented a car from Sendai Station and took the highway to get here. It was easy to drive on unfamiliar roads, and the roads weren't that narrow either!! It was a good time of year when a lot of fruit is harvested, so instead of souvenirs you can buy in tourist areas, I looked up JA shops that locals go to, and I was able to buy a lot cheaply!! Located next to Sakurakoen Park, Sakurakoen Park boasts two major flower viewing spots. The first is the Azalea Garden's Observation Plaza, and the second is Cherry Blossom Hill. The Azalea Garden in Sakurakoen Park is home to 43,000 azalea plants comprising 11 different species. From the Observation Plaza, visitors can enjoy a sweeping view of the vibrant sea of azalea flowers, which is claimed to be the largest scale azalea garden in the Northeast. Additionally, right next to the Azalea Garden, a wisteria trellis has been constructed. Since the blooming periods are similar, visitors can also admire the beautiful wisteria flowers at the same time.
