History & Conservation
Samae San is part of a nine-island archipelago under the Plant Genetic Conservation Project, a royal initiative by HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. Managed by the Royal Thai Navy, the area is protected to preserve its unique ecosystems. The subdistrict is a learning center for marine conservation, with strict rules: no pets, no alcohol, no foam boxes, and a mandatory briefing on eco-friendly behavior before you board the boat. The result? Pristine beaches, thriving coral reefs, and a peaceful, uncrowded atmosphere
