墨爾本 Sandringham Beach sunset 🌊
Sandringham, Victoria is serving up major chill vibes, especially at Sandringham Beach 🌊.
If you’re all about fresh air and easy living, this seaside spot just south of Melbourne is underrated magic. Sunrise? Stunning. Sunset? Even better. Plus, if you’ve got a pup, this is their dream walk – miles of soft sand, open space, and happy sniffs for days.
Top Spot to Visit:
Sandringham Beach, Victoria, Australia – Open all day, year-round
Grab your sneakers or go barefoot and just wander. Whether you want a peaceful solo stroll or a playful dog walk, this beach easily delivers. My tip: Get there late afternoon to catch the slide bathed in that golden sunlight, with blue skies and trees in the background. It’s absolute serene Aussie vibes and sunset here is next level – the sky glows over the water and the stillness is just perfect for recharging.
If you’re into nature close-ups, the place is dotted with trees and you can soak in all the fresh, sunny scenery. For snack time, pack something simple; there are grassy spots near the shorelines perfect for a mini picnic.
Getting Around:
Sandringham is accessible by train from central Melbourne (Sandringham Line), then just a short walk down to the water. Super easy, very Melbourne!
Insider Tip:
Bring your dog if you have one – they’ll love the beach strolls as much as you will.

Hidden Local Spot: 'Black Rock & Half Moon Bay'
A secret beach loved more by locals than tourists! As its name suggests, 'Half Moon Bay' is characterized by its crescent-shaped coastline. Adding to its mysterious charm is a unique 'shipwreck' submerged in the waters. 🚀⚓️
· 📸 Perfect Photo Spots:
· HMVS Cerberus Shipwreck:
The shipwreck submerged in the middle of the sea is the symbol of Half Moon Bay. The combination of red cliffs, blue sea, and the aged shipwreck creates a truly unique scene! 🚢📸
· Red Bluff:
Take a leisurely walk atop the red-soil cliffs and enjoy a panoramic view of the entire beach. 🧱🌊
· 📍 How to Get There: It takes about 30-40 minutes by bus or car from Melbourne city center. 🚗

Edward Street Beach
#melbournetrip
This beach has limited parking on street and nearby Red Bluff St for busy beach days. There is a fresh water tap for washing your feet after your swim and a medium grade descent 50m footpath to the beach with handrail.
The sand for this beach is medium coarse but consistent colour. This beach is a great little beach tucked between Sandringham beach and Half moon bay.

Sandringham Beach
#melbournetrip
One of many bayside beaches in Melbourne. Only a half-hour trip on the train from the city, it offers calm swimming conditions and excellent sunsets. Very similar to other beaches nearby.
Beautiful, quiet beach with aesthetic rocky formations.
Plenty of cafés and free local street parking nearby.
Shore-adjacent nearby paid parking is available.
Bathrooms are at the entrance tracks to the beach.
The bay water is good for swimming. Comfortably shallow, but also murky.
