2026 Silibauri Travel Guide: must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transport & travel experiences (updated in August)

💗 For this trip, we traveled for 8 days and 7 nights, from May 5-12, 2023, with a total of 4 people. Budget Breakdown 👀 Flight tickets: 20,935 THB, booked via Trip.com BKK - TBS 04.10 - 13.40 (+1) ON 5 MAY TBS - BKK 14.40 - 10.10 ON 13 MAY 🏨 Accommodation: 5,596.18 THB - All places were rooms that sleep 4 people with no separate rooms. 🚗 Guide fee for Kazbegi down to Gori for 3 days: 9xx GEL We contacted several guides for our three-day journey. 🚃 Train fare Tbilisi - Batumi Roundtrip: 280 GEL (4 people + credit card fee / ~3,960 THB) Gori - Tbilisi: 48 GEL (4 people + credit card fee / ~696 THB) 🍳 Food and miscellaneous expenses: 8,500 THB > 7-Day SIMCARD: 40 GEL. We shared the internet. One of my friends got a SIM card from another friend who went to Georgia, so we only had to buy one. > I must say that the food cost seems cheap because we only ate one or two meals a day—we were so busy exploring that we forgot to eat, or we couldn't stop right away. Personally, I love the food because I enjoy milk and cheese. Some of my friends found it a bit salty, but I didn't mind at all and enjoyed everything very much. 💖 Our accommodations for this trip: Day 1 (5-6 May) : T’bilisi 1,577.94 THB This place is a short walk to the Clock Tower. Getting around and finding food is quite convenient. The auntie who owns the place only speaks "Yes Yes Yes", so sign language is highly recommended. However, I personally loved this place so much—it had everything we needed. Day 2 (6-7 May) : Eco house merisi 9,373.32 THB This place is very popular, but you have to book directly with the hotel. We chose to visit Batumi just to stay here, and it didn't disappoint. It is absolutely stunning in every detail. Day 3 (7-8 May) : Fabrika Hostel & Suites 1,781.92 THB For this one, we stayed in a mixed hostel dorm for 4 people. The staff's attitude might not exactly match Thai preferences—they kind of act super chic to match the vibe of the place, haha. Day 4 (8-9 May) : Kazbegi Cabin 2,608 THB If you skip this, you're missing out! The accommodation is exactly as advertised with spectacular views. However, the room was insanely hot even without the heater on. I was so confused—how could it be 0 degrees outside? Day 5 (9-10 May) : Gudauri 1,772.46 THB Honestly, this place is great. The only catch is that we went during the off-ski season, so they didn't turn on the central heater; they only provided a portable one. It was 1 degree outside. We argued about it for a while, but the accommodation couldn't resolve the issue. They offered to let us move hotels and give us a refund, but the prices in the area were way too high. In the end, we decided to sleep in our winter jackets and thick socks, curled up like cocoons. Day 6 (10-11 May) : Nitsa Guest 120 GEL (~1,604 THB) The guest house auntie is incredibly lovely! She even played the piano for us. The care was excellent, and it felt super cozy. I'm not surprised it has nearly perfect reviews. The only downside is that the water pressure was so weak that we just waited to shower when we got back to Tbilisi. Day 7 (11-12 May) : Tiflis Inn Hotel 3,667.19 THB This place is close to the Marjanishvili Metro. For our last day, we wanted to stay near the metro for an easy trip to the airport. We focus on budget travel, and I highly recommend this place. The rooms are nice, and the best part is that the bathroom actually has a bidet! It was also the only place that included breakfast. If you're looking for more than just a hotel in Georgia—a place where you simply want to freeze time—Eco House Merisi is the perfect choice. We stayed in the mountains near Batumi, and it was an unforgettable experience. The journey here is an adventure in itself: about a 1.5-hour drive along winding roads from Batumi , but every turn reveals breathtaking views. As you ascend, it feels like the rest of the world is left far below. The atmosphere here is truly one-of-a-kind: complete silence, crisp mountain air, and an absolute connection with nature. Our cottage, featuring panoramic glass walls and a private pool — was the best I've ever seen. Waking up to mountain views without even getting out of bed is an incredible feeling. And the view from the pool deserves a special mention. The entire property is incredibly photogenic: a giant swing over the cliff, a glass bridge at the restaurant, and cozy cabins—every picture looks like a postcard . But the gastronomy here is on another level. The Ojakhuri I had at the on-site restaurant was the best I tasted during our entire trip to Georgia! Guests constantly rave about the food in their reviews, and it's absolutely justified . The presentation, the quality of the ingredients, and the authentic flavors—everything was flawless. We loved it so much that we didn't even want to leave the restaurant . We will definitely be coming back here again ❤️ Another pleasant surprise — you can rent dresses for photoshoots right here. It's 60 GEL per dress You can also order a floating breakfast right to your villa's pool . It's a whole ritual: food and drinks are served on a floating tray in your jacuzzi or terrace pool . Coffee, pastries, fruit, and mountains all around—a perfect morning you'll want to remember forever ❤️ I highly recommend booking it in advance to treat yourself to this magical moment! Helpful tips: · Transfer: You can book a group transfer from Batumi directly through the hotel (only 20 GEL per person, one way) . It's much more convenient and affordable than trying to find a taxi. · Activities: Make sure to set aside some time for the Safari trip to the waterfall and the gorge
