Tonle Sap Lake Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Sunset experience on Tonle Sap
Tonle Sap is an incredible place to enjoy the sunset. The natural beauty of Tonle Sap is truly remarkable, and watching the sun go down over the water is an experience like no other.
The sky is painted with shades of orange, pink, and purple, and the reflections on the water create a stunning display of colors.
On the boat, we have a front-row seat to this magnificent show. The peaceful atmosphere is perfect for relaxation and reflection. It's a great place to visit with friends, family, or even on your own.
Overall, I highly recommend experiencing a sunset on Tonle Sap. It's a truly unforgettable experience that will leave you feeling refreshed and inspired.

Enjoy sailing along Tonle Sap Lake
This is my first time visiting Cambodia. I spent my time traveling in Phnom Penh. The first activity I did after landing in Cambodia is sightseeing along Tonle Sab River with the boat. You can see the people lives along the river as well as the building.
It’s really good to let your emotion on the river. It really relaxing after finish this round-trip.
The price of the sightseeing boat trip is reasonable and I definitely guarantee that you will feel sooooo good with this activity!

Watching the sunset in the floating village on Tonle Sap Lake in Cambodia
When traveling in Siem Reap, Cambodia, in addition to the must-visit legendary Angkor Wat and temples, there is also the harmonious coexistence of nature and culture in Tonle Sap Lake. Watching the sunset on Tonle Sap Lake is also a great place with regional characteristics. Tonle Sap Lake, also known as Phnom Penh Lake, means 'big lake' in Khmer. It is the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia, with abundant sunlight, pleasant climate, abundant water, and especially rich aquatic resources. The local people live by the water and live by the lake. They build houses and villages on the lake, live with Tonle Sap day and night, and live with the rise and fall of the lake water. Over time, the 'floating village' has formed a unique landscape on Tonle Sap Lake. When the tour boat travels towards the lake along the mangroves, the water village gradually appears in front of you. The stilt houses built with wood and bamboo stand on the water, and inside live simple and poor villagers. These water stilt houses are mostly dilapidated and shaky, but the villagers live peacefully day after day. The village used to make a living by fishing. Now that tourism has been developed, some men in the village are receiving foreign tourists in wooden boats, and some are still fishing in the lake for a living. After a short while, you arrive at the heart of the lake, dock at the best viewing point, and wait quietly for the sunset. Finally, a magnificent sunset is awaited. The setting sun dyes the lake and the sky golden, and a light boat floats by, like a golden dream.
Incredible Siem Reap Cambodia ✨😍🇰🇭🙌🏼
I have recently traveled to Siem Reap Cambodia and explored Angkor Wat and other incredible stunning temples, such as Ta Prohm Temple (Tomb Raider) honestly, I have never ever seen as stunning temples as the ones in Cambodia, it is highly recommended. 🙌🏼 I also went to the biggest fresh water lake in Southeast Asia - Tonle Sap Lake. In my 8 days there, I had an amazing time to interact with the friendly locals, I guess this beautiful city will be my go-to hideaway place, it’s so close from Bangkok, I’m sure I’m gonna be back one day. I booked my flight from Trip and as early as now, I have been checking flights going back there. 🛫 Have you been here before? 😉 #timetotravel #cambodia #siemreap #angkorwat #bayontemple #templerun #taprohm

Kompong Khleang Floating Village Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Kompong Khleang Floating Village
#familytrips2024
Best floating around around Tonle Sap lake. Nice stilt houses and there are 1700houses with more than 10,000people. The villagers live in authentic way. Great to see how they live on water. A bit far from Siem Reap town but worth a visit. If tourists want to see the real floating village, they should come here..
Very interesting place to visit, a truly authentic and untouched part of Cambodia. You will see a very unique and beautiful isolated local vilagge here. I would recommend taking a half-day organized tour here from Siem Reap.
Angkor Wildlife & Aquarium Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Angkor Wildlife & Aquarium
#familytrips2024 Nice, new modern aquarium and zoo. A little far out of town unfortunately, about 40 minutes or so, which is my only knock. That being said you can combine your visit with a visit to Bakong and make a nice day trip out of it. They have a nice collection of fish, reptiles, and animals to see. The two tigers were the highlight of my visit. This place is incredible! Very well maintained, the fish in the tanks look very healthy and the diversity is amazing.
Angkor Wat Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Temples around Siem Reap 💕
Angkor Wat and all the other temples in Siem Reap are just magnificent and I couldn’t help myself posing random pictures in front of these ancient architectures.
We had booked a group tour and met a lot of people from my country and it was amazing . This trip was very special for me because I finally visited the place that I had only seen in books when I was in elementary and high school.
I love the Cambodian people such welcoming and respectful.

Amazing Cambodia 🇰🇭
Welcome to Angkor Wat !!! 🌅
Angkor Wat is a unique combination of the temple mountain (the standard design for the empire's state temples) and the later plan of concentric galleries, most of which were originally derived from religious beliefs of Hinduism.
The construction of Angkor Wat suggests that there was a celestial significance with certain features of the temple.
The temple has drawn praise above all for the harmony of its design.
