Leave early morning to avoid heavy trucks and catch the sunrise lighting up the mountains for those epic photos. Al Galala Downtown 🏙️ Once you reach Ataqah, Al Galala Downtown is the main hub. There’s a nice blend of modern shops, cozy cafés, and chilled vibes. It’s perfect for a stroll or an afternoon refuel. Most spots open from 10 AM till late. Try local seafood at any of the casual restaurants—shrimp and grilled fish here are super fresh, just ask what’s been caught today! Insider Tip: There are some beautiful new resorts along the coast—pop into any resort café for a coffee with a serious view, even if you’re not a guest. Egypt isn't just pyramids and Hurghada! 🏜️ I was lucky enough to see it from the water—we were passing through the famous Suez Canal. It was incredible! 🚢 Imagine standing on the deck, surrounded by desert, and your ship slowly sailing between Africa and Asia🌏 We saw flocks of local fishermen on small boats🎣 and even soldiers🪖 waving to us from the shore, and ferries running from one side of the bank to the other, trying to make it between the ships passing through the canal. And there was also a real trinkets merchant on board! 🧿 He laid out souvenirs right on the deck: figurines, keychains, beads, magnets, perfumes—all with an Egyptian flair. You could buy something as a souvenir right while crossing the canal. You definitely won't find anything like this anywhere else! My friend bought him perfume that could reveal his location on the ship by its scent! 😅 The crossing took about 12 hours, and it was a truly memorable experience I'll never forget! #egypt #egypt #suezcanal

Flamingo Nature Reserve: From late October to February every year, flamingos migrate from Europe to Egypt in Africa. There is a flamingo nature reserve in Port Said, which is free to visit.
