We didn't exchange it, so at the Chinese border they charged us a fee (60 yuan) in rubles. 1,000 rubles instead of 660. After security on the Chinese side, there's an exchange office at the port. You can exchange your card there or at the shopping center. 🍜We had lunch at the Druzhba cafe: it was cheap and delicious, but the portions were incredibly huge. Get the small ones! But when I actually arrived in Heihe, what truly shocked me was Aihui Town, 30 kilometers from the city center. The history of Heihe begins with Aihui. In 1683, the Qing government established the Heilongjiang General's Office to resist Russian expansion, initially stationed in the old Aihui city. In 1685, it was moved to the newly built Aihui New City on the right bank—today’s Aihui Town. From then on, this place became the military and political center of the Heilongjiang River basin, known as the "Northern Gate Key."
