Mission accomplished! If you're coming right now, you can still catch it.
But after this, it's going to be a gamble 😁😁
It's so unbelievably gorgeous, no exaggeration at all.
When the breeze blows, petals flutter all over the path. Walking through it feels just like being in a K-drama 🎬
The lighting is great, the vibe is perfect, and every angle you shoot looks incredibly soft and dreamy.
Sometimes, just standing there doing nothing, I feel so incredibly lucky to witness it.
It's a fleeting moment that I really wish I could freeze in time 🌸
If you're planning a trip to Korea around this time, hurry up and capture it!
Because the flowers won't wait for us, but the memories will stay with us for a lifetime 🤍

Away from the city center, where moonlight lingers beyond the fortress walls: Changnyongmun Fortress Night Tour
As the eastern sky darkens and lights begin to illuminate the Changnyongmun Pavilion one by one, the vast grassy plaza transforms into a mysterious space where only the golden walls remain amidst the blue darkness. 🎈 A tranquility distinct from the bustling Haenggung-dong permeates the air, making it perfect for capturing a sentimental record that fully embodies the serene night air the moment you press the shutter. 📸
· The texture of soft lighting shining through the Ongseong: Admire the walls of the Ongseong that curve around the gate. 🏛️ The bottom lighting, which highlights the grain of each individual stone, presents a majestic landscape where the solidity of the Joseon Dynasty coexists with the beauty of soft curves, no matter what angle you photograph from.
· The lights of Flying Suwon adorning the night sky: Check out the hot air balloons floating gently above Changnyongmun Plaza. 🌿 The silhouette of the fortress walls and the hot air balloons hovering in the air, illuminated by yellow lights, create a deep, fairytale-like nighttime record the moment you press the shutter.
✅ Key Point Summary
· Location: Area around Changryongmun Gate and Yeonmudae, Ji-dong, Paldal-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi-do
· Features: Since there are no tall buildings nearby, Changryongmun Gate is the optimal spot to fully appreciate the night view of the fortress walls against the backdrop of the wide-open night sky.
· Viewing Tip: Walking along the fortress wall path from Changryongmun Gate toward Yeonmudae allows you to capture the longest possible curve of the illuminated walls. Additionally, sitting on the lawn of the plaza and timing your photo to coincide with the ascent of 'Flying Suwon' creates an even more exotic atmosphere.

Cherry blossom viewing plan: 5 nights, 6 days, April 2026
Even though I've been there many times, I'm still excited.
I think we went to see the cherry blossoms in 2015 🌸
Back then, I went with a tour group (it wasn't bad; the tour was lovely and took good care of us).
But I'm still secretly excited about going this time.
· Because of the war situation.
· Because of the immigration reviews.
· And the suspense of whether we'll see the cherry blossoms (going around the same time as in 2015).
So I wanted to share my travel plan with you all and let's hope together that we'll get to see the cherry blossoms 🌸🌸
I made the plan using Canva. I felt so happy while doing it 😍 #TravelTalk #KoreaReview

The most beautiful library I've ever seen is in South Korea!
Just a 10-minute walk from Hwaseo Station, line 1, one stop away from Suwon station, you can find the Starfield Suwon shopping mall.
Inside of it there's the Suwon Starfield Library, a huge, free, open-plan space .It's 22 meters tall and covers part of four floors in the mall, from 4th to 7th.
Known for its floor to ceiling bookshelves, natural light and planets decorations, other than books it offers reading lounges, a vinyl cafe, and areas dedicated to children.
The ambiance is aesthetic and relaxing, it's a great photo spot and place to take a break while shopping other than allowing you to satisfy your intellectual needs!
Even taller and better than the Seoul counterpart it's a must visit while in Suwon, don't miss it!!

Beyond the low walls, the blue sky and the ridgeline of Paldalsan Mountain stretch out seamlessly, creating a serene atmosphere that feels like stepping back into the Joseon Dynasty. 📸 Instead of modern high-rises, the scenery here is led by tiled rooftops and nature—one of Hwaseong Haenggung’s greatest charms! ✨
· Wide-open skyline: No matter where you are inside the palace, you can look up and enjoy the expansive sky without tall buildings getting in the way! ☁️
· Perfect harmony with Paldalsan: The low mountain ridge behind the palace surrounds it like a folding screen, creating an exquisite scene where architecture and nature blend beautifully. ⛰️
· King Jeongjo’s grand vision: As the center of Suwon Hwaseong, a newly planned city, the orderly yet spacious layout offers a deep sense of comfort and ease. 👑

Even those who aren't history buffs can enjoy it! An impressive castle wall walk awaits!
#KoreaTravelInfo
I went to Suwon Hwaseong Fortress!
Honestly, I'm not that knowledgeable about history, but I really enjoyed it! ✨
First of all, the scale of the fortress walls was beyond my imagination; I was surprised, thinking, "It's so big?!" Just walking around felt like a short hike.
There are many gates and watchtowers along the way, and plenty of photo opportunities, so you won't get bored. 📸
The views from the higher points were especially refreshing, and I enjoyed being able to sightsee at a leisurely pace.
I only walked a part of it, but if you want to see everything, I think you should allow about 2-3 hours.
Comfortable shoes are a must!
Also, there are cafes and local shops nearby, so I recommend relaxing there after sightseeing. ☕️
It didn't feel too much like a typical tourist spot; it was a place where you could enjoy nature and history in a good balance. If you have time during your trip to Korea, I highly recommend visiting!

A day in Suwon🍀
Sick of the same old Seoul hangouts? Switch it up with an easy Suwon day trip! 🇰🇷 The express train ride is only about an hour, so it’s perfect if you’re short on time but big on drama filming locations and good eats.
First stop: Just Tendong (경기도 수원시 팔달구 남창동 48-5, 10:30-21:30). Grab a lunch set — the crispy pork cutlet portions are massive and they tossed in a free drink with ours.
Walk less than 10 minutes, and boom: It’s K-drama heaven. Hunt down the viral Lovely Runner house (Suwon 화서동) and snap your Sunjae-Imsol pics. Fan of Our Beloved Summer? Choi Ung’s house is just around the corner! The neighborhood is super walkable, so take your time and soak in those alleyway vibes.
When you need a chill break, head straight to Paletscent Café (수원시 팔달구 화서문로 42), right across from Hwaseong Fortress. The view is peak Suwon — fortress walls, lush trees, and a surprisingly peaceful vibe even if it’s rainy or cloudy out. Order a window-side coffee (or three) for the perfect pic, Dongdaemun-style architecture included!
Before heading back, quick stop at Starfield Library in COEX for a book, a snapshot, and some indoor calm.
Tip: Even on cloudy days, the fortress and cafés still pop in photos. Bring a compact umbrella and wear comfy shoes.
